Eartheria – Awaken the sun

The Finnish progressive death metal band Eartheria has released its second EP at the beginning  of February.

Two years ago we discovered Eartheria with their first EP “Throes of Time”,
it was immediately clear the potential of this band and we had the confirmation of their talent from their live performances.

Their new EP “Awaken the sun” is going to blow away every dubs; The mini album contains 5 tracks that flow smoothly, the sound is more aggressive and melancholy, the songs are complex with killer riffs and fast drums change-up beats.

What more I love about this album is the balance of the sound, long songs but never boring and the excellent production.

A mention goes also to the artwork, created by Niklas Turunen, which represents very well the essence of the album.

This album is a gem in a sea full of anonymous music, like a cold wind from the north Eartheria comes to refresh the metal scene.

Listen to me; We will hear from Eartheria a lot in the future, they are going to become a well known band.

Eartheria Interview

Eartheria is a young band from Pori, Finland, its melodic death metal is rich of technical parts and the live performances are really impressive.
We had the opportunity to meet the band after the show at Porispere and discover something more about it and its music.

Porispere Festival, Pori(Fin)

Summer in Finland means rock festivals and Pori isn’t a exception with its Porispere. Porispere festival is located in Kirjurinluoto, a park close to the center, also known as location for the famous jazz festival Pori Jazz. This year the festival was during the first weekend of August and the line-up was very attractive: Twisted Sister, Metal Church, Children of Bodom, Moonsorrow, Santa Cruz, Diablo, Stam1na, Mokoma, Reckless love, Hillbilly Casino and Klamydia just to name the most important.

Eartheria- Throes of Time

Eartheria is a young band from Pori, Finland, their music is a mix of fast and melodic metal, inspired by thrash and modern metal.
The band’s first EP called “Throes of Time” has been released on December 2015 and it’s producted by the band itself.
Eartheria to be a fledgling band demonstrates a musical maturity worthy of a successful band and this EP is the proof.
The EP contains 6 tracks, the sound is clean and they did a great job with the recording and mastering. The listening to each song is addictive, the rhythm part is heavy, guitar solos are executed well and the mutable voice runs from growl to scream.
There is nothing to reproach to this EP, we have to keep an eye on Eartheria because I’m sure we will hear more from this band.
