Alien Weaponry, a groove metal band that cherishes the traditions of New Zealand’s indigenous people, has won over metal fans around the world with their distinctive music, where primitive rhythms blend seamlessly with modern production and different subgenres of metal. Last month, the band released their third studio album “Te Rā” to great acclaim, with many calling it the best album of 2025. Adding to the band’s success is the collaboration with Randy Blythe from Lamb of God on the track “Taniwha,” a dream for the young band to have one of metal’s greatest vocalists as a guest. We had the opportunity to interview Tūranga Morgan-Edmonds about their new album “Te Rā,” the collaboration with Randy Blythe, music videos, touring, and more.
