NeuroTidal Released Emotional Single “Bluefish”

NeuroTidal’s latest track “Bluefish” is an emotional descent into the depths of longing and inner turmoil. Blending hauntingly calm melodies with raw, cathartic screams, the song captures the struggle between seeking escape and confronting an inescapable reality. With lyrics reflecting isolation and a desperate search for relief, it delivers a powerful journey through shadowed thoughts and fractured emotions—where the line between refuge and no return begins to blur.

The name “Bluefish” refers to the brand of an anti-depressant. The song was released on April 4th along with a video.

About NeuroTidal:
Genre boundaries between Pop and Metal crumble against the unyielding rocks of the mainstream. Oceana, the luminary vocalist, effortlessly traverses from ethereal melodies to visceral roars, seamlessly entwined with the commanding resonance of guitars and synthesizers, as well as the intricate dance of basslines and drum rhythms. As the musical landscape unfolds, it morphs into pulsating dance sections infused with a pop sensibility.

Breaking free from the shackles of Rock norms and conventions, NeuroTidal propels its audience into an exhilarating sonic odyssey of self-discovery. The band deftly weaves together diverse influences, embracing the nuances of Jazz, Post Rock’s expansiveness, and Progressive Metal’s complexity, culminating in an unmistakably unique sound.

A NeuroTidal live performance is a sensory spectacle, where a distinct ambiance is meticulously crafted. A seamlessly coordinated light show, complemented by blacklight elements, adds a profound layer to the audiovisual tapestry, elevating the concert experience to unparalleled immersion and distinction.

Heavy Rock Powerhouse DRAB Inks Global Deal with Wormholedeath

Wormholedeath Records is thrilled to announce the signing of DRAB, the heavy rock juggernaut whose self-titled debut album will erupt worldwide on June 6th. Hailed as a visceral fusion of grunge-era darkness, thunderous riffs, and dystopian intensity, DRAB’s music is a time-traveling beast—raw, relentless, redefining modern rock’s boundaries.

A Statement from DRAB:
“We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Wormholedeath Records in the international release of our self-titled debut album!.”

DRAB’s origin is as gritty as their sound. In 2020, the band germinated in a musty New Orleans storage locker as the world retreated into isolation. What began as a cathartic escape from pandemic-era despair evolved into a sonic exorcism, recorded in an olive-drab Masonic Temple-turned-studio in Covington, LA, with producer Jack Miele (The Meters, Galactic). The result? A self-titled debut that channeled the paranoia and claustrophobia of the times into a blistering manifesto.

Since their debut, DRAB has dominated the New Orleans metal underground, earning accolades like Rock-N-Review’s #1 Album of 2022 and sharing stages with icons like Soulfly, Pallbearer, and YOB. Their 2024 single “Tyrannic”—produced by Grammy-winner Adrian Bushby (Muse, Foo Fighters)—marked a darker, sharper evolution, blending surrealist visuals with labyrinthine riffs that caught fire across streaming platforms.

DRAB’s music is a molten collision of decades: the swagger of 1970s hard rock, the rebellion of 1980s metal, and the brooding angst of 1990s grunge. Tracks like “Afterburner” (available now on Bandcamp) showcase their signature blend of haunting atmospherics and bone-crushing grooves. Whether it’s a name that evokes the mundane and dreary, or the dregs of 16th-century gutters and brothels, Drab’s music is anything but what the name might imply. It’s a steel blade that is only getting sharper with time.

DRAB’s Current Lineup:
Steve Mignano – Guitar/Vocals
Casey Freitas – Bass
Aaron Levy – Drums

ALTERNATIVE ROCK DUO PEAKS! REVEAL NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “BAD DECISIONS” OUT NOW VIA FLG

Following the release of “MORPHIA” last month, Italian alternative rock duo PEAKS! are pleased to reveal their new single and accompanying visualizer video “BAD DECISIONS”, out now via FLG.

Listen to “BAD DECISIONS” HERE

The band said: “BAD DECISIONS is one of those songs that came from a really honest place. It’s about that part of you that always seems to pick the chaos: quitting the job, running toward the fire, saying the wrong thing at the worst time, but still hoping to be understood. We all have moments where we know we’re messing up, and somehow, we do it anyway. That tension between impulse and consequence is where this track lives”.

“There’s a bit of irony in the lyrics, but there’s also a lot of truth. It’s not about glorifying screwing up. It’s about owning it, learning from it, and realizing that sometimes the path that looks wrong to everyone else might just be the one you need to take. We wanted the song to feel reckless but human, with that mix of regret, adrenaline, and hope. That’s BAD DECISIONS for us”, they continued.

PEAKS! are an exceptional alternative rock duo from Turin, Italy, who started their musical journey towards the end of 2020 with the jaw dropping debut song ‚ “Blackout”, that amassed over 2 million Spotify streams.

The band are intensely creative and have formed a very strong distinctive image through their visual output since the start: they shoot and create their own videos and content, while collaborating with the renowned Italian graphic designer Giulia Lunge, to realise and stay true to their vision.

From big fuzzy guitar riffs to catchy hooks, their musical influences draw from 70s rock to 90/2000s Electro Pop, as well as current bands such as The Score, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, grandson, YUNGBLUD, Bishop Briggs, Welshly Arms, SAINT PHNX and more.

PEAKS! debuted live at The Great Escape (2022) in Brighton, gaining huge acclaim that led to festival slots at 2000 Trees in the UK and supporting Pearl Jam at BST Hyde Park in London, then Placebo in Mantova (Italy), their Italian debut in front of 10,000 people. They wrapped up 2022 by playing with Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes.

2023 saw PEAKS! returning to The Great Escape in Brighton, playing at the first Slam Dunk in Italy, followed by support slots with Dead Poets Society in Holland, and summer shows with Placebo in Italy and Switzerland. They played with Placebo again in 2024, as well as performing at the Storing Festival in The Netherlands.

Over the years, PEAKS! have received great support from DSPs, including placements on New Music Friday playlists across Europe on Spotify, and Fresh Rock and New Rock playlists on Amazon Music.

The band have been featured on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Future Artists’ with Jack Saunders and on Kerrang! Radio, as well as earning strong airplay in the UK and across Europe. On TV, their music has been used on Love Island in the UK and on BBC’s Match of the Day, as well as on various US sync projects.

Wednesday 13’s Mid Death Crisis album and the No Apologies single with Faster Pussycat’s Taime Downe will set the rhythm for the weekend party

Wednesday 13 is using this weekend to celebrate their new album “Mid Life Crisis”. At the same time, the single, featuring Taime Downe from Faster Pussycat, “No Apologies” has been released.

“This is the rockiest song I’ve written in years. I wanted to go back to my roots and those roots are in 80s glam rock. The number one name on that list was Faster Pussycat, so it was completely logical to ask Taime Downe to join me on this track. It was an honor to have one of my rock’n’roll idols in the studio with me. We put together a suitably outrageous middle finger for ourselves, and the result is No Apologies,” Wednesday 13 says.

Wednesday 13 describes the upcoming album as fun, funky and something that you can listen to and leave your brain in a state of shock and rock with rage. The album was produced by Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death, Enuff Z’Nuff, Antiproduct) and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Prong, DevilDriver). It promises to be quite a blast, spiced up with elements of 1980s sleaze metal. The album also features Taime Downe from Faster Pussycat.

“Growing up in the 80s, I remember the satanic panic and parents’ concern about what their kids were listening to. My mother would constantly check my cassettes and make sure I wasn’t possessed by the devil. Most of the music I listened to never had any of those themes, but they were just accused of it, so I let myself make a song that would horrify my mother. I wanted the lyrics to be open and leave no doubt about what they were about. This song was made in a fun spirit, and we’re not going to burn down churches in the future,” Wednesday 13 says.

The band began a tour of the United States in March, and they will also be hitting Europe in the summer, playing selected festivals and touring the UK.

Brutal Death OPHIOLATRY Release Harrowing Video Clip For New Single “Death Tour”

Brazilian extreme metal outfit Ophiolatry has released a new music video, “Death Tour”, the first single from their upcoming album “Serpent’s Verdict”, due June 6, 2025, via Wormholedeath Records.

This latest visual offering is inspired by Greek mythology, depicting the journey of a fallen warrior’s soul through the realm of death. As the spirit is carried across the River Styx, it approaches the gates of Hades, where the warrior’s tribe awaits his arrival, welcoming him into the afterlife. They comment further on the single and the video:
“The warrior perished, part of his body bathed in the blood of the unworthy. He doesn’t beg. He doesn’t hesitate. The ancestors whisper his name as his spirit ascends, enveloped in the smoke of rituals. The witches dance around the burning fire, invoking Charon’s presence. The coins reflect in his lifeless eyes, an offering to the boatman. From the depths of Lake Styx. The serpent rises, its coils moving like time itself. As he breathes, the warrior’s confusion dissolves into clarity. He steps onto the distant shore, where his tribe awaits him in reverent silence. There are no words; They are not necessary. They were already waiting to cross the gates of Hades together; The end is just the beginning.”

“Death Tour” represents a sonic evolution for Ophiolatry, balancing their technical prowess with a more atmospheric, tribally influenced approach to extreme metal. The video clip amplifies these themes through striking imagery that merges Greek Mythology with the brutality of modern death metal aesthetics.

Each track on “Serpent’s Verdict” functions as part of an immersive narrative experience. It is an invocation of the past and a battle cry for the future. With the release of “Death Tour,” Ophiolatry continues to build anticipation for the full album, which promises to be one of the most devastating extreme metal releases of 2025. It is recommended for fans of Cryptopsy, Suffocation, and Death.

Bloodred Hourglass declares war on empty promises – The Crown Is Permanent and its magnificent

Modern metal powerhouse Bloodred Hourglass is releasing a new single. The band treated their fans to rave reviews with the single We Should Be Buried like This earlier this spring, and now they’re following it up with the downright angry The Crown Is Permanent.

“Sometimes all it takes is a spark – and everything explodes. The Crown is Permanent is a dark and angry song that rages on the edge of chaos. Its raw, forward-flowing energy shows no mercy as the brutal guitar riff and jagged synth world violently strike your hand. Lyrically, it’s a declaration of war on false revolutions, empty promises and those who just go along with it. It’s about not being a pawn in someone else’s game – and how you can build something stronger from betrayal. ‘The floodgates are open. Let them learn.’”

Bloodred Hourglass, originally from Mikkeli, will be seen on live stages this weekend, when the band headlines the Black Box Mikkeli event they host: on Friday, Balance Breach and LUNA KILLS will perform at Kulttuuritalo Tempo, and on Saturday, in addition to Bloodred Hourglass, Enemies Everywhere will open the night. After the summer festivals, the band is heading on a European tour and has now revealed that the tour will also continue in Finland: ten gigs are planned for October-November around Finland. Ticket sales for the events will start on Monday, April 28.
