Meara Klubi returns with a winter-spring calendar of two events a month. The first event was last Saturday and three bands played; Heathen Hearts a hardcore band from Kotka, Marto extreme metal from Pori, and Thin Line heavy hardcore from the capital region. Here some shots taken duringg the gig.
Gladenfold is a Finnish power-melodic death band influenced by bands such as Children of Bodom, Nightwish, Wintersun, Kamelot, Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, and Freedom Call. Over the years Gladenfold has managed to refine its own unique yet constantly evolving sound. Their third album “Nemesis” was released last April, the songs are dealing with themes of self-reflection, about giving in the dark regions of one’s mind, and finding the existence of one’s wicked features. Ending Fortune is a young Finnish death metal band, who has been making music for four years now, the debut album “Engraved Insight” was released in 2020 and a new EP will be released this month. Nestor is a Swedish rock band formed in 1989 by a group of friends in love with music, their first full-length “Kids In A Ghost Town”, which features 80s pop icon Samatha Fox, saw light in 2021, gaining acclaim in the rock world. The band embraces the influences of the 80s with irony and a lot of heart.
