Nummirock 2025 unites the world’s metal music during Midsummer, announced Alestorm, Decapitated, Cattle Decapitation, Kanonenfieber and Anal Vomit.

The world’s oldest and most ambitious Midsummer metal festival, Nummirock, has been held on the shores of Lake Nummijärvi in Kauhajoki since 1987, and next year Nummirock will once again be celebrated in a very international manner. The festival’s first lineup includes guests from the United States, Great Britain, Peru, Chile, Sweden and Germany – not forgetting Finland’s extensive metal expertise.

Performing at Nummirock has been an unforgettable experience for many artists, especially foreign ones, and festival promoter Tero Viertola states that the experiences on both sides of the stage are the real deal.

“I have to say that year after year I am particularly excited that we are getting bands performing at Nummirock on site for the first time to experience the nightless night of Nummirock and the unique atmosphere created by the audience,” says Viertola.

The performers currently announced at Nummirock include Scottish pirate metal leader Alestorm, San Diego’s Cattle Decapitation, who strongly criticize the meat industry and other forms of exploitation of nature, Polish death metal pump Decapitated, Finnish disco metal band Turmion Kätilöt and moshpit wildlings Mokoma.

The first lineup is completed by American deathcore band Signs Of The Swarm, anti-war German death metal band Kanonenfieber and the superband Cemetery Skyline, which has had a great start to their careers.

Swedish band Marduk is celebrating its 35th anniversary of its black metal reign, and Nummirock will feature a special gig that will pamper listeners with the band’s rarely heard gems. The unique set is built around Marduk’s entire long career, so it’s also a real nostalgia trip for many.

Of the bands announced so far for the upcoming festival, the most distant guests are coming from South America; Peruvian Anal Vomit, who have been rocking for over 30 years, are returning to Finland after eight years, and black/trash power trio Aquer, who rely on leather and rivets, will be seen in Finland for the first time ever.

In addition to the previously mentioned domestic fixtures, the following have been included: melodic black metal band Moonlight Sorcery, death metal band Torture Killer from Turku, and dark folk artist Noiduin from Pori.
