“Our Legacy?” deals with war, destruction and the world we leave behind. The lyrics begin in the morning light over a bombed city, where survivors search through the ruins for their loved ones. From there, the perspective expands from one city to countless others and to wars watched through our screens day after day, year after year. The song also turns its attention toward those who hold power and the consequences of their decisions.

“Greedy clowns and lying monsters / Rule the world” delivers the accusation with deliberate bluntness. Yet the song is not only about those who hold power, but also about what happens when the course is not changed. The recurring question is what will remain if destruction is allowed to continue. The central idea of the chorus is summed up in the words: “Only silence is our legacy.” The question mark in the title turns that statement into a challenge. Is silence really what we want to leave behind?

Musically, the song moves with relentless energy, shifting between hard-hitting passages and cinematic moments that open up the atmosphere. The harmonic minor tonality gives the track its dark and restless foundation. Aggressive guitars and a grooving rhythmic core keep the song physically powerful, while melodic and progressive elements add depth to the arrangement.

“Our Legacy?” was recorded, mixed and mastered at RE Studio in August 2026. The track was produced entirely at RE Studio as part of the Rare Elements project. Under the Iron Sky is a slow, heavy, groove-driven track with progressive influences, built around two parallel layers of conflict: an internal psychological struggle and an external, war-like landscape. Rather than simply depicting conflict, the song captures a state where resistance becomes an unavoidable condition of existence.

The track paints a world where movement grows increasingly difficult. With lead in the feet and iron in the sky, the environment becomes suffocating and oppressive, turning every step into an act that feels like resisting gravity itself. Forward motion is no longer instinctive—it becomes deliberate, draining, and painfully slow.

At the same time, Under the Iron Sky dives into deep internal exhaustion. The battlefield is not only physical, but also a mental space. External reality and inner experience begin to merge, blurring the line between what is real and what is perceived. The recurring question “How did it come to this?” distills the emotional core of the track: confusion, fatigue, and a growing sense of inevitability.

The chorus expands this tension into a multidirectional threat—pressure closing in from above, ahead, and behind. The central figure is not only confronted by external forces, but gradually worn down by their own weakness and exhaustion. In the end, the struggle is no longer directed at a single enemy, but becomes a total, immersive condition where internal and external forces are inseparable.

Musically, the track combines heavy, groove-based riffing with progressive structures, the crushing weight of slow death metal, and dark shades of doom metal. A cinematic approach shapes the arrangement, allowing the song to unfold like a soundscape—layered, immersive, and gradually intensifying toward a suffocating climax. Rare Elements have self-released their new single “Insincere”, a modern metal track that combines the power of groove metal with the complexity of progressive metal.

“Insincere” is an intense and carefully crafted composition driven by strong riffs, tight rhythmic precision, and dynamic arrangement. The track blends heavy grooves with progressive structures, creating a sound that is both powerful and atmospheric.

The single was created by Harri Sarpavaara and Joel Kuortti. Sarpavaara is responsible for the composition, arrangement, instrumentation, vocals, and the entire production process, including recording, editing, mixing, and mastering. The lyrics were written by Kuortti, adding depth and meaning to the track.

“Insincere” was recorded at RE Studio in March 2026. The result is a polished and contemporary metal production that highlights Rare Elements’ evolving sound and artistic direction.
