Finnish Rimbacher is known as a powerful live band and as a stylish AOR creator. Now they released a cover of the Song “Sold My Soul To Rock ‘n’ Roll” from the 2007 album “Sinner” by the original AC/DC vocalist Dave Evans.

“Jimbo and I had the honor of playing this song with Dave Evans, the original performer and founding member of AC/DC, in his Finnish tour band ‘His Finnish Badassess’. Dave emphasized energy, dynamics, power, and conviction. He instructed us to play each song as if it were our own. Sold My Soul To Rock n’ Roll touched to me in many ways, and I decided to ask the maestro for permission to record the song with our band. We got the go-ahead!” recalls the band’s singer, Niko Rimbacher.

Previous Rimbacher’s album High Hopes On The Rocks (2024) received widespread acclaim both in Finland and abroad. In the spirit of 80s stadium rock, AOR, and hard rock, the style-conscious band went straight into recording their next full-length album after the release of their debut. Songs from the upcoming album have already been heard at gigs, the official singles haven’t yet scheduled for release. That’s why now is the perfect time to release a new single to ease the anticipation of rock fans.

The atmosphere revolves around big riffs and guitar heroism combined with very melodic and harmonic vocals. The lyrical themes are either timeless stories about the struggles of a sensitive narrator as well as having fun. The soundscape itself has very high energy and spirit throughout the whole album and the songs are delightfully diverse compared to each other. However the the core essence stays solid and the band’s enthusiasm is well heard.”

The songwriter Reisca Morani bakcgrounds the song:

“The song is about a crush on a woman from an earlier generation and the fantasy of being get to live in the past with her. “Pluto” is a metaphor of that damsel and the title originates back in a one silly conversion with her.

The arrangement of ‘Pluto’ provided the song very cool atmosphere which reminds of that autumn when it was written. It has a different kind of vibe compared to the rest of our hard rocking songs but lands nicely in our setlist making it one of the highlights of our show and the upcoming album.”
