SUPER MONSTER PARTY New Single “Nights Into Dreams” – 80’s Synthwave Meets Metal Inspired By The Popular Sega Video Game

Coming off their exciting performance at 70 Tons of Metal this past January, SUPER MONSTER PARTY (SMP) has a new single and video entitled “Night Into Dreams”. The track is an 80’s synth wave meets metal and is inspired by the popular Sega video game of the same name. It features guest artists, Lacey Johnson, a popular VGM artist, and the members of Lame Genie on drums, bass, and guitar.

“I wrote this song to capture the essence of the game, Nights Into Dreams — a realm where the magic of flight, matches the pulse of the joystick, and every riff powers you through a level of chaos and triumph.” adds vocalist Rei Sega.

The single is also their first taste of new music since releasing their latest albumRage Quit this past November.

SUPER MONSTER PARTY’s Video Game Metal Album “Rage Quit” + New Super Mario Video Tribute “Another Castle”

SUPER MONSTER PARTY (SMP) Offering way more than the average metal band, SUPER MONSTER PARTY‘s new album “Rage Quit” is out now on all streaming platforms at https://links.supermonsterparty.com/ragequit.

These highly motivated and talented guys aren’t just playing music and video games – thanks to their creative efforts, we are provided with an immersive multimedia metal experience, as it has never been seen before, picking us up and taking us in completely.

“Rage Quit” is more than just a music album – with narrational interludes between the tracks, the band creates a bond between the most beloved video games of their childhood and their music, providing a mesmerizing adventurous experience for the listeners. If you listen to the track listing of “Rage Quit” chronologically, it’s like listening to an audiobook in the form of kickass metal music sprinkled with unconventional storytelling. On this video game-inspired record, the South Floridian band takes us on a journey through the realm of ‘Permadeath’ – a colorful blend of classic 16-bit video game world replicas, which you as “The Champion” have to conquer. The extensive album features six new tracks, six reenvisioned tracks, and an alternate narrative path for the Permadeath series. In SMP’s pixelated nostalgia-inspired universe, we’re jumping and running through the spheres of old-school video game bangers like Mortal Kombat, Doom, Sonic the Hedgehog, Dance Dance Revolution, Castlevania, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, and Final Fantasy. But Permadeath isn’t just the setting for the album tracks, it is also the name of SMP’s captivating, free-to-play 2D platform game, featuring a soundtrack consisting of their instrumental tracks.

As a special easter egg, the band invites us to dive even deeper into their sound and join the performance: Experience the full SUPER MONSTER PARTY adventure, get the album tracks as Clone Hero downloads, and start rocking!

For “Rage Quits” release day, SUPER MONSTER PARTY dropped their new Super Mario-inspired lyric video “Another Castle”. After encountering video games and embarking on legendary quests in Permadeath, you as the listener now find yourself put into Mario’s perspective. As you close the door of Doom behind you, with one last life remaining, the gate of another castle opens – but “your princess is not here, she’s in another castle”, and so you begin your search, fighting through lava, silly turtles, and walking shrooms. This vivid storytelling is musically accompanied by an electrifying, tasteful blend of punk rock, power metal, and retro video game themes.

SUPER MONSTER PARTY Spawns New Single “Blue Hurricane” For Sonic the Hedgehog’s 33rd Birthday Off Forthcoming Album “Rage Quit” Out Nov 2024

SUPER MONSTER PARTY is a band for all video game nerds, jump’n’run enthusiasts, metalheads, 90s kids, weirdos, and everyone in between – a metal band that’s all about video games, singing from the heroes or villains introspective point of view. And: They also have their own, free-to-play, old school nostalgia-inspired 2D jump’n’run game – ‘Permadeath’ (available at https://www.supermonsterparty.com) – with a soundtrack consisting of the instrumentals of their own powerful tracks.

Long story short: SUPER MONSTER PARTY’s music sounds like what your dearest classic video games would sound like if they’d grown up with you during the last decades, while the lyrics take you on a captivating journey into the mind of your favorite gaming protagonists, good guys, and bad guys. The band’s music as well as their game transport the recipient into the world of Permadeath, a colorful blend of classic 16-bit pixelated video game world replicas, which you as “The Hero/Champion” have to conquer, while the soundtrack ties the whole experience together and sucks you into SUPER MONSTER PARTY’s unique universe.

In lead up to the release of their new album “Rage Quit” on November 11th, 2024, SUPER MONSTER PARTY are dropping their new video single “Blue Hurricane” just in time for Sonic the Hedgehog’s 33rd birthday – as a tribute to the speedy blue spiny mammal. The soundtrack of the beloved jump’n’run game ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ undoubtedly has a special place in a lot of gamer hearts but “Blue Hurricane” serves as an outstanding example of what the game could sound like when fully leaning into the little hedgehog’s fierce badassness.

How much damage per second can SUPER MONSTER PARTY do? Lead guitarist Oleh Andrievsky has certainly trained his fine motor skills to a level of perfection, contributing his genius long distance from Ukraine. His lively turbo guitar riffs resemble the fast-paced gameplay of Sonic and the lyrics of “Blue Hurricane” take you back to those moments in your childhood when you had to stay home sick and would just play video games all day and diving into these little pixelated dimensions made everything suck a little bit less. Except of course when you encountered the evil scientist Dr. Robotnik and were faced with the responsibility of preventing the Eggman from taking over the world. Whatever you’re doing while hearing “Blue Hurricane” – you will fondly see the tree tops of Green Hill as well as the Final Zone reappearing before your mind’s eye. And: This track will surely light your ass on fire and push you to finally achieve that super hard Sonic speedrun you have been fantasizing about since your childhood, instead of ragequitting the game for the 666th time.

“Blue Hurricane” is a critical hit that will surely snatch a high score of gamer hearts. There is no doubt that by the end of this summer, every SUPER MONSTER PARTY fan will know the game plan: “And together the whole world will sing – GO SONIC GO!”
