Mongolian dark rock pioneers The HU have made a clear mark on the metal scene in recent years, and have risen to become one of the most interesting heavy rock bands in the world. Now The HU delights their fans by announcing the release of their 3rd album HUN on July 24th. The publisher is Better Noise Music.

Along with the news, the band released a single from their upcoming album. The single Lost Soul features singer Jonny Hawkins, who is part of the band Nothing More on the same label.

The heavily grooving and percussive soundscape of the song Lost Soul reflects the extremes of Mongolia’s volatile and merciless climate. Jonny Hawkins’ English phrases blend seamlessly with traditional Mongolian throat singing. The song’s lyrics convey a message of perseverance and endurance that resonates anywhere in the world and in any language.

“Hunnu Rock crosses cultural boundaries, and in that spirit we have made the song Lost Soul together with Jonny Hawkins. Not getting lost on the journey of life, not losing your own values, and daring to face life’s obstacles are the messages we want to convey to our fans through this song and the upcoming HUN album,” Galaa comments.

“I am really excited to be collaborating with a band that is as passionate about what they do as The HU. This is something completely different from what I have done before,” adds Jonny Hawkins.

The HUN album, due out in July, showcases the band in top form. The HU expands their signature hunnu rock sound with an 11-track set that draws from Mongolian myths and legends. The result is an epic, captivating and enigmatic full-length album that opens the door to the band’s unique world.

“We took the time to do this properly, and we are really happy that we are finally almost ready to release what we have been working on for the past few years! Now we are focusing on live performances and building a completely new set list. We want to play in larger arenas so that we can implement a more impressive production and bring more elements of our own culture to the stage. And in addition to the third album, we already have great ideas for the next one!”, the band hints.

Mongolian hunnu rock band The HU, who have made a big splash in the heavy music scene, have quickly become one of the most interesting phenomena on the international metal scene. By combining Mongolian traditional instruments and throat singing with modern metal, the band has created a unique style, and has grown a large fan base.

The Hu’s listeners have been waiting for new music like the rising moon, and now the wait has finally come to an end, when the single The Real You was released on streaming services.

The Mongolian warriors’ latest masterpiece represents the band’s faster and more furious production. It urges the listener not to judge others, but to focus on themselves instead, and thereby grow into a better person. The song is based on a Mongolian proverb: “Don’t worry about what others have on their heads, but worry about what you lack.”

“The Real You single sets the tone for our upcoming third album. It will feature songs that are more traditional and unique to us, but there are also some faster and more energetic tracks, like this single. When we were making the song, we were thinking about our ancestors riding fast on horseback through the landscape.
