Lordi celebrated the twentieth anniversary of “The Arockalypse”, the landmark 2006 album that secured their Eurovision victory with “Hard Rock Hallelujah”, by embarking on a commemorative tour that stopped at the Logomo Terassi in Turku on August 21st. The date held special significance: it was announced as the final performance to feature the “The Arockalypse Castle” stage set, making the event a milestone in the history of the band’s productions.
The evening opened with the up and coming band Rabbit Cult. Despite relentless rain, both the audience and the band persevered with unwavering enthusiasm. Fans and band alike noted that nothing could dampen the evening’s energy, which remained electrifying and engaging from start to finish.
Lordi kicked off the show with “Bringing Back the Balls to Rock”, the explosive opening track of the album being celebrated, before performing “The Arockalypse” in its entirety, interspersed with other hits from their discography. The show was enhanced by impressive pyrotechnics that amplified the event’s spectacular nature. Excitement peaked during the performance of their most iconic anthem, “Hard Rock Hallelujah,” when Mr. Lordi appeared wearing his signature Finnish hat, an unmistakable nod to the era that defined their Eurovision success.
