Blackment is a melodic metal force hailing from Hyvinkää, Finland, founded in 2014. Their debut album Plains of Oblivion arrived in autumn 2022 and quickly gained traction across European radios. That same year, the band earned a nomination for Newcomer of the Year by Kaaoszine and reached the semifinals of Wacken Metal Battle Finland, marking them as one of the most promising rising acts in the Finnish metal scene.
Over the years, Blackment has carved out a distinct identity; catchy yet intricate melodies, punchy and technical guitar work, groovy rhythm foundations, atmospheric synth layers, and a wide vocal palette led by a uniquely recognizable voice. Their band has also built a reputation for energetic, engaging live performances, appearing at events such as Heavy Metal Heart Festival and Helsinki’s Semifinal club.
Now, with the release of their second album Pandemonium Portrait, Blackment steps into a new chapter, ready to bring their music across Finland and beyond its borders.
