Heavy blues powerhouse Dead Groove Announces Sophomore Release “Rubicon” and Motörhead Cover

Rising heavy blues powerhouse Dead Groove, born from the creative crucible of 2020’s lockdown, announce their sophomore EP Rubicon, set for release on March 21st, 2025. Pressed on crystal clear 10″ vinyl, it features the powerful new tracks “Fire” and “The Damned,” alongside a distinctive cover of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades.”

It is foreshadowed today by the band’s new single, a tumultuous live recording of “The Book Of The Dead.”
Born as a pandemic collaboration between drummer Fred Aching and bassist/vocalist Holly West, Dead Groove has evolved into one of the scene’s most promising acts. The band, completed by guitarist Cesar “Cags” Salaverry, brings together decades of professional experience, including West’s current role with Zepparella, Salaverry with the Peruvian band Mauser, and Aching’s performances with Kings of Thrash alongside David Ellefson, Powerflo and Bullet Boys.
The successor to the band’s acclaimed self-titled debut album, Rubicon represents a significant evolution in Dead Groove’s musical journey. The EP’s title, referencing the historic point of no return, perfectly captures the band’s commitment to pushing their sonic boundaries – the trio describe it as presenting “a more polished iteration of Dead Groove’s signature sound while maintaining the raw energy fans have come to expect.”
Their interpretation of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” demonstrates Dead Groove’s artistic vision. By deliberately slowing the tempo and incorporating their characteristic groove, the band has created a fresh interpretation that both honors the original and establishes their unique musical identity.

To celebrate the release, Dead Groove are performing at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood on March 23rd, opening for King’s X. The band will be available for interviews throughout the upcoming month to discuss their music, creative process, and future projects.

MANILA HEMP Release New Single And Video ‘Trying To Forget’

‘Trying To Forget‘ is an intense and deeply symbolic track that marks the long-awaited return of the Italian alternative rock band MANILA HEMP, more than a year after their last release. Available today on all digital platforms through Volcano Records & Promotion, with whom the band continues a solid and fruitful collaboration, the single unveils a new side of the project, blending its original alternative-grunge roots with fresh psychedelic and electronic influences.

The song is accompanied by a cinematic-style music video on YouTube, rich in intriguing symbolism and drawing a parallel between the intimate, personal realm of human emotions and a dystopian future where mankind seeks new planets to colonize. This intertwining of science fiction and introspective tension explores the cyclical nature of existence, connecting the past, present, and future.

“The memories of our happiest moments can become painful when we see them only as something lost. However, reworking them means accepting them for what they are: precious traces of the past that have shaped us into who we are today. Fully living in the present requires this courageous emotional detachment—not to forget, but to let go with gratitude, allowing us to create new meaningful experiences without being anchored to what can never return.” – Manila Hemp

FINLAND’S WISHING WELL RELEASE NEW SONG feturing WHEELERS AND DEALERS CHOIR

Finland’s hard rocking Wishing Well have released new music for the first time after their “Sin And Shame” album, that came out in March 2023. “Boys Will Be Boys” is a simple good mood rocker, made seriously tongue-in-cheek and in good spirit to celebrate rock music and pure joy and camaraderie of playing in a band. This positive and cheerful song is a rare release from the band, who usually write more serious and complex songs. The song is released together with a music video, recorded at Magnusborg Studios in Porvoo, filmed and edited by Jussi Koskinen.

“Boys is an old song that goes way back but we wanted to release something in between albums and this song is perfect for that. First we thought it’s too simple and silly but when we worked on it and it took off like a rocket to the moon we decided to give it a go. Somebody then came up with the idea of asking previous Wishing Well vocalists to sing the gang vocals and when they agreed and even Graham Bonnet promised to join we knew it’ll work out great. We decided to shoot the video while in the studio and we had a great time. We’re pleased with the result and the song is also good fun to play live”, says Anssi Korkiakoski, guitar player and songwriter of the band.

“Things should not always be too serious, at the end of the day it’s all about doing what you love, together with your friends. We’re all old metalheads and hard rockers, we share the same thoughts and memories about music, from early years to ‘80s metal and beyond. It’s great that we can do our thing together and share it with each other and our audience as well. This song is a homage to all of us childlike rockers, music lovers and band musicians. There are many of us, naturally lots of girls and women too, despite the song title”, says Korkiakoski.

The song is released under Wishing Well & The Wheelers And Dealers since the choir with its old school veterans plays an important role in the song.

Australian Artist Jeremy Harry Harris Drops New Single and Music Video “Holding On”

Australian rock artist Jeremy Harry Harris is back with his powerful new single, “Holding On” — a raw, emotional anthem that captures the resilience of the human spirit in the face of change, loss, and injustice. Now available on all major streaming platforms, this highly anticipated release continues Harris’s tradition of delivering brutally honest and thought-provoking music.

A Song of Perseverance and Reflection

“Holding On” addresses the profound grief caused by war and conflict, transcending boundaries of race, religion, gender, and creed. The single explores humanity’s struggles, speaking to the strength found in hope and the bittersweet grip of the past. It carries a universal message about history’s repetitive cycles of conflict and their devastating impact on innocent lives.
“I wrote this song in sheer desperation,” says Harris. “I am appalled and horrified as I witness the destruction and devastation being inflicted on thousands and thousands of innocent people over the past few years through the never-ending conflicts and wars we continue to allow our leaders to wage. I could not, in good conscience, remain silent on issues that affect all humanity, in the hope that some humanity still does exist.”

Creative Mastery and Lightning-Fast Execution

“Holding On”was co-written by Jeremy Harry Harris and his trusted collaborator, Reinier Martinez Rodriguez, with production by Harris and Peter Renzullo. Remarkably, the track was completed in less than three weeks, showcasing the creative synergy between Harris and Martinez. This quick turnaround mirrors the urgency of the song’s message while maintaining its rich, anthemic quality.

Building Momentum: A Follow-Up to Success

The single serves as the follow-up to Harris’s critically acclaimed 2024 full-length album, “Walking With My Darkness.” Staying true to his fearless approach to songwriting, Harris’s lyrics in “Holding On” paint a vivid, melancholic vision of the truth behind war and conflict. The song also marks the beginning of a year-long journey that includes the release of two to three more singles leading up to Harris’s first full-length European tour, spanning eight countries in 21 days over the European summer.

Where to Watch and Listen

The official music video for “Holding On” premieres on YouTube, offering a visual counterpart to the track’s stirring themes.

The passion, intensity and raw emotion they bring to their shows make them one of the most exciting new bands to come out. We had talked about collaborating before the tour, but the timing never quite clicked. Then, one day I was in the car and I heard Holy Water on the radio and I couldn’t help but sing along! It immediately brought back the idea of collaborating, so I contacted Lee and we agreed to do the song again together.”

Lee Jennings, lead singer of The Funeral Portrait, says that Holy Water has always been a personal and cathartic cleansing song for him:

French Noise Rockers Membrane Unleash New Album Deathly Silence

‘Deathly Silence’ —the highly anticipated new album by French noisemongers & post-hardcore veterans MEMBRANE

For over two decades, French noise/post-hardcore veterans Membrane have mastered the art of heavy rhythms and slow-motion tension, crafting a sound that deepens wounds and freezes time.

Blending raw noise with post-hardcore intensity, they relentlessly seek glimpses of light within the darkest emotions. Now, in 2025, Membrane returns with Deathly Silence, their seventh full-length album, available on CD, LP, and digital formats via Araki Records, Blind Prod, Day Off Records, MaSaret Records, and P.O.G.O Records.

RIYL : Breach ; Kill The Thrill ; Neurosis ; Unsane ; Will Haven…

“Deathly Silence, Membrane’s seventh album, confronts us with a depressing reality: the rise of social injustices, the growing madness of humanity, and the ongoing climate crisis.

Recorded and mixed by Cyrille Gachet in Vesoul, mastered by Alan Douches, this opus blends abrasive noise with sharp melodies, immersing the listener in a dark and dissonant atmosphere. The artwork, created by McVtx, embodies a desolate beauty, symbolizing humanity’s fragility in the face of the chaos that this album captures with intensity”

“Soundtrack for sensual solo manoeuvres” – Cannibal Accident released their fifth studio album Disgust

Finnish Deathgrind veterans Cannibal Accident released their fifth studio album ‘Disgust’ on February 28th 2025 via Inverse Records

LISTEN to the album on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/cannibal-accident-disgust

Vocalist Kurwa Doktor was caught up being busy with sewing brand new patches onto his inner thigh skin, but had this to say about Disgust:

“After many delays and close-to-nervous-breakdowns our fifth album is out! Available on CD and vinyl, both limited editions. Again, the song lengths do not reach the magical 3 min limit, so in this time and age when everyone wants everything immediately we think that our songs serve as a perfect get-away for persons diagnosed with concentration problems. And the album is a very good soundtrack for sensual solo manoeuvres as well, if you like your act short and intensive.”
