On April 11th, Northern Genocide and Roju performed on the Monttu New Level stage in Pori. The night started with the energetic nu-metal of Roju, whose sound combines the old era of nu-metal with a powerful mix of metalcore, djent and modern metal. The show was a bomb of energy accompanied by the theatricality of the singer who is able to convey strong emotions through the use of various vocal techniques and body movement. Northern Genocide continued the night, combining industrial influences and melodic death metal in their music. The band stood out in their live performance for their technicality and energy with inevitable headbanging.

“Under the moonlight, it’s a reflection of a feeling of horror and despair, feeling like you could transform into a wild animal, losing your mind and endangering those you love. It’s similar to moments of uncontrolled anger that cause some people to make mistakes they’ll pay for the rest of their lives.”
“We are thrilled to share ‘Under The Moonlight’ with our fans,” expressed [Ignacio Orellana]. “This track embodies the raw intensity and passion that drives our music, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it. It’s a true honor to have Sebastian Osorio back on board, as he played a pivotal role in our early days in 2012, contributing to the solo of ‘Somos Legion. ’ His presence here, working with us once again, is a pure privilege.”
Quemasantos has been a formidable force since its formation in [2012], consistently pushing the boundaries with their aggressive sound. The band continues to build on its legacy with this latest release, promising an unforgettable auditory experience.

ABOUT:
Nastyville is an Italian hard rock band formed in 2012 by drummer Danny Boy and guitarist David “Dave Wild,” with the aim of refreshing the rock genre. The first studio album, “Viva Hell-A” (released in 2015), features old-fashioned guitar riffs and the flavor of the best street/glam rock with Lex on vocals, Kruska on bass guitar, and Manuel on guitar. After Lex and Kruska left, the band continued its journey with Marco “Mark Lee” on vocals and Fabian Anderchen on bass guitar, releasing in 2017 their second studio album, “Glam Caramel”. This album, marked by heavier sounds, gave the band the opportunity to open the Italian tour dates for Skid Row, Crashdïet, Enuff Z’Nuff, Adam Bomb, John Corabi, Simon Wright, and many others. “Songs of Threesome”, released in 2022, was their third studio album and featured a new lineup with Christian “Dega” on guitar and Paul “Cannibal” (ex-Thee S.T.P.) on bass guitar.
In 2023, founding member and drummer Danny Boy and bassist Paul left the band and were soon replaced by Christian “Chris Tabeat” on drums and Carlo “The Horv” on bass guitar. After the release of the two singles “Red Black…Or Green?” and “Livin’ in A Mess”, the band with its new lineup consisting of Marco “Mark Lee” on vocals, David “Dave Wild” on guitar, Christian “Dega” on guitar, Christian “Chris Tabeat” on drums and Carlo “The Horv” on bass guitar, worked tirelessly on new studio material. The year 2024 was a very good year when the band played many dates across Italy and abroad. The opening act for Steel Panther in Milan (Alcatraz) deserves special mention. The band spent the last months of the year working on a brand-new album, entering the studio in December to start recording their fourth studio album under the supervision of producer, singer, and songwriter Alessandro Del Vecchio.

Double Vision debut first video “Silence Is Louder” out now
US melodic rockers Double Vision are thrilled to debut their first single and accompanying lyric video, “Silence Is Louder”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.
Stream “Silence Is Louder” HERE
Vocalist Chandler Mogel commented on the single: “Silence Is Louder” evokes late 70’s / early-era Foreigner with a fresh flair and approach for the modern melodic rock era. The concept is a powerful one, because silence often leaves room for interpretation, reflection and sometimes even tension. And in that space, emotions can grow louder than spoken language ever could. Ironically, we believe that conveyance of this concept through music is just what the doctor ordered – as people experience these concepts manifested in relationships, in protest or defiance, or also in communication. All very important factors of life and for this day and age”.
Born as a Foreigner tribute band in the United States, Double Vision honed their craft performing to lively and sold-out crowds up and down the east coast and across the country, soon becoming a real live attraction.
With a lineup boasting some of New York City’s top professional rock musicians and well-known faces of the scene, including dynamic frontman and singer Chandler Mogel (Outloud, Jeff Waters’ Amerikan Kaos, Punky Meadows, etc.), super drummer Scott Duboys (ex-Warrior Soul) and bass player Scott Metaxas (ex-Prophet) as well as guitar virtuosos Chris Schwartz and Paul Baccash, and keyboard maestro Alex Lubin, Double Vision recently considered working on their own music, still owing a debt and strong influence to the Foreigner sound.
Double Vision now makes its foray into the world of original music. While they showed they are truly second to none at recreating the masterful songs Foreigner fans worldwide have come to love, Double Vision now enters the second phase of their career, primed and ready to establish a strong foothold in the melodic rock realm with a sound that truly recreates the magic of the 80’s rock vibe with a contemporary take.
Line Up:
Chandler Mogel – vocals
Scott Duboys – drums
Scott Metaxas – bass
Chris Schwartz and Paul Baccash – guitars
Alex Lubin – keyboards
Atmospheric Black/Epic Doom Metal Act Divine Sovereign Unveils Lyric Video for “The Absolution”
Emerging atmospheric black/epic doom metal solo project Divine Sovereign has unleashed the lyric video for “The Absolution”, the latest track from the upcoming album Autaxia Chronicles: Dawn of a New Age, set for release on May 9th via Wormholedeath.
The history of Autaxia is etched with suffering. We prayed to the heavens, but the skies remained silent. We served our masters, though they stripped us of hope. Centuries of torment have taught us a harsh truth: to believe in no one but yourself.
“The Absolution” is the third track from Autaxia Chronicles: Dawn of a New Age and delves into the theme of resistance driven by religious fervor. It tells the tale of a species enslaved for generations, only to rise through the creation of a new faith—a faith that unites them against their oppressors. However, this newfound zeal comes with a stark warning: while fanaticism can unify, it often becomes the first chapter of a new kind of servitude.
Divine Sovereign’s immersive compositions bring this gripping concept to life, fusing atmospheric black metal, epic doom, and blackgaze elements into a cinematic soundscape of despair, rebellion, and awakening.
Founded in 2023 by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Cezary Rochnowski, Divine Sovereign draws inspiration from the likes of Ethereal Shroud, Panopticon, and Atlantean Kodex. The project crafts epic, narrative-driven compositions set in the world of Autaxia, a planet where advanced beings unearth the remnants of a once-thriving civilization. Through intricate songwriting and atmospheric intensity, Divine Sovereign explores the duality of faith—its power to liberate and its potential to enslave.

Royal Sorrow, who immediately took to the international stage, releases their single Give In – After the summer festivals, a European tour with Leprous
Royal Sorrow, who will release their debut album next fall and embark on a European tour with Leprous, today releases their third single Give In. Compared to the previously released singles Metrograve and Evergreen, the band puts on an even heavier gear and at the same time flashes the broad spectrum with which the band is able to operate.

“Give In presents the darker side of the band. Our Markus was at VOLA’s gig last year in Vanha and also practiced his growl for it, and that inspired this song. Otherwise, Give In is built on hypnotic and complex guitar riffs, without forgetting the band’s melodic core,” the band analyzes and feels the beat of the song’s low-tuned guitars.
Royal Sorrow characterizes the song as describing anxiety, which takes the form of dark creatures that invade consciousness when a person is at their most vulnerable.
“The song puts into words the feeling of helplessness when in our darkest moments the only option seems to be surrender,” the band, who have previously acknowledged themselves as messengers of hidden emotions, describe.
The band is filming a music video for the song this week, which will be released at the end of the month. The upcoming Give In video is directed by Jaro Koho, who has previously made a fruitful impression with Royal Sorrow.

Cannibal Accident pays tribute to a Finnish electro pop cult classic
Finnish deathgrind veterans Cannibal Accident have released a new single ‘Kärpästen juhlat’, a cover track of Mikko Saarela / Organ. The track features guest vocals from HellG ja Starling Nippelsson.

LISTEN to Kärpästen juhlat on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/cannibal-accident-juhlat
The band comments:
“The song “Kärpästen juhlat” is probably the most famous track from Organ’s Nekrofiilis LP, the first Finnish electro pop album, but was originally released on a solo single by the band’s leader Mikko Saarela in 1981. Somewhere beyond the borders of reason came the idea to pay tribute to his pioneering work with our own version of this cult classic and twisted it into the CA mold – love it or hate it.”
Earlier this year the band released their fifth studio album Disgust via Inverse Records and it’s available here: https://push.fm/fl/cannibal-accident-disgust

Ikinä Video Interview
Ikinä started out as a pop project and by embracing the darkness and versatility of their two female vocalists, they have reclaimed the throne of Finland’s leading metalcore band. The band, after working with Sakara Records, decided to go independent and released their third self-titled album “IKINÄ” in 2023.
Last month the band released a new single called “Jumalatar” (goddess) which features 16 other female vocalists, the song has generated interest across the country and is already considered an anthem to women in metal. The band is now in the process of creating new music and a new album is expected in early 2026.
We had the chance to meet the two vocalists Katariina Sorsa and Tuuli Paju before their show at Monttu New Level in Pori and talk about Jumalatar, the upcoming album, what it means to be a woman in the metal community and much more.
Unén unveil new video “Forever Winter” out now via Frontiers Music Srl
Finnish melodic metal band Unén are excited to unveil their new single and accompanying official video, “Forever Winter”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.
Stream “Forever Winter” HERE
Vocalist Stina Girs commented on the new single by saying: “When the mind sinks into darkness and no light is in sight, the inner landscape can feel like an eternal winter. Also, the loss of a loved one can feel like a desolate midwinter. Forever Winter can be either one for the listener – a personal battle toward brighter days, or a message to a loved one, on the other side”.
Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Unén are a modern melodic metal band, whose music also incorporates elements ranging from progressive to pop, blending intensity with sensitivity in its sound.
Unén was originally founded in late 2021, laying the foundation for the band’s musical style. In 2022, Unén focused on composing and refining production independently, resulting in the release of two self-published tracks. However, after a rollercoaster year, there was a need to change the lineup to accelerate production.
The word “Unén” was derived from the band’s original idea that lyrics would be based on the world of dreams. However, due to lineup changes, this concept took a different direction, but the name remained.
In the beginning of 2023, there was a shift in Unén’s lineup due to the change of lead singer, which notably accelerated all activities. The band members coming together was a series of fortunate coincidences and determined searches, including encounters with old acquaintances. The right people had found each other.
Unén released their first single “Made of Stone (cover)” in May 2023 with the new lead singer, Stina Girs. She became known during the IDOLS competition in 2011 and subsequently released two albums as a solo artist. The original song by Evanescence inspired this evolved lineup of Unén to showcase their unique sound and overall direction. Following this, the band focused solely on creating their own songs.
All members of Unén bring their own expertise and input to the band. Every song created is a sum of its creators, and there is no specific leader. The band members are united by their passion for making music, even though their day jobs are completely different.
Unén signed with Frontiers Music in February 2024, thus enabling the band to achieve the channel they sought to release their music to the world.
Line Up:
Stina Girs – vocals
Kimmo Pitkänen – guitars
Petteri Sinervä – keyboards
Harri Moilanen – guitars
Tomi Kallava – bass
Timo Larjo – drums
