Throughout that tour, Shores of Null performed 35 shows across 18 countries, including Norway, Denmark, Germany, the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Hungary, bringing their critically acclaimed album “The Loss Of Beauty” to the stage.

The live recordings, captured in Leipzig, Munich, Aschaffenburg, Budapest, and Belfast, preserve the raw and emotive energy of their performances. Each track reflects the band’s ability to blend melancholic melodies with crushing heaviness, offering fans a visceral live experience.

“Beauty Over Europe” is both a celebration of the tour and a gift to all fans of the band. Exactly two years after that unforgettable journey, this live album offers a chance to relive the emotional intensity and true essence of Shores Of Null’s live performances.

Reflecting on the experience, vocalist Davide Straccione and guitarist Gabriele Giacarri share their thoughts:

“This tour was an incredible journey, the longest in our career, and a true milestone for Shores Of Null. As the promotional tour for The Loss Of Beauty, our latest and most acclaimed album to date, it was an honor to bring these songs to life across 35 shows in 18 countries. Sharing the stage with monumental bands like Swallow The Sun and Draconian—huge inspirations for our music—was unforgettable. Despite the melancholy of their sound, they’re some of the most fun and genuine people we’ve met, and by the end of this epic journey, we were proud to call them friends.

We owe special thanks to our incredible crew—Petri, Matti, Mikko, and Tero—who ensured everything ran seamlessly and made this experience unforgettable. To pay homage to this extraordinary chapter, we decided to produce a live album. Recorded during key moments of the tour, it captures the essence of these unforgettable performances and is dedicated to all the people who supported us live and shared these magical moments with us.” – Gabriele Giaccari

Davide Straccione adds:

“Our 2023 European tour with Swallow The Sun, Draconian, and Avatarium was one of the most beautiful and intense experiences of my life. Night after night, we poured everything we had into our performances, connecting deeply with audiences across 18 countries. It was a journey that marked a pivotal moment in our career as a band as well, and one we’ll carry with us forever. This live album is our way of preserving and sharing that beauty, not only as a gift to those who joined us in the crowd, but also for those who couldn’t be there to witness it.”

About:

Shores of Null stand out from their contemporaries with their ability to blend seemingly disparate elements into their sound, overwhelmingly heavy and soothing at the same time: blackened aggression stands alongside gothic-doom sections without either sounding out of place. Their music can be both melancholic and majestic, made of chorale-like guitar textures across the instrument’s entire range, sustained by a powerful rhythmic section and punctuated by a refined mixture of clean and growled vocals, along with extensive use of pleasing vocal harmonies which have become the band’s trademark through the years.

The Rome-based metal band has been an unwavering presence within the metal underground since their musical outset in 2013, churning out a series of impressive records: the melodic and somber “Quiescence” (Candlelight, 2014), the darker and more complex “Black Drapes For Tomorrow” (Candlelight/Spinefarm, 2017), and the ambitious “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying)” (Spikerot Records, 2020), a 38-minute long doom manifesto that sees guest appearances of the doom-titans Mikko Kotamäki (Swallow The Sun) and Thomas A.G. Jensen (Saturnus), along with the angelic voice of Elisabetta Marchetti (Inno).

Shores Of Null’s fourth album, “The Loss Of Beauty”, released in March 2023, was hailed as one of the best albums of the year within the genre. The band supported the release with an extensive EU/UK tour alongside Swallow The Sun, Draconian, and Avatarium, followed by standout performances at major festivals like Hellfest, Rock Imperium, and 70000 Tons Of Metal, among others, further solidifying their status as one of the rising forces in the metal scene.

At The Hollow frontman’s solo band Surunaamio released the third single from their upcoming debut album

Finnish Surunaamio, a solo band by At The Hollow’s frontman Kalle Koo, is set to release self-titled debut album on May 30th 2025 via Isosisko Records. The third single ‘Näkymätön voima’ is unleashed today and it’s available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/surunaamio-nakymaton

Tomi Koivusaari from Amorphis comments the single:
“This is a big song. Strong and lovely melodic melancholy a’la Kalle Koo, the wise already know. The playing sounds big in its apparent minimalism, and damn what a drummer! Otherwise, the general atmosphere exudes the presence of the Kingston Wall spirit, which is always tasty. The song is beautiful and the lyrics are meaningful. I like it a lot!”

Matias Rokio from Sargassus, who played the drums on the album:
”Näkymätön voima is personally one of the most important songs on the album. In the song, almost eerily beautiful vocals are combined with the relentless beat of acoustic guitar and drums, which occasionally give way to surprising distortion sections. There are also few songs these days that are as acoustically sensitive as the blast beats familiar from extreme metal!”

BIOGRAPHY:
Behind Surunaamio is a long-time musician and tattoo artist Kalle Koo. In the music scene, Kalle has become known as the frontman and songwriter of At The Hollow. His bright vocals combined with vibrant baritone guitar, double bass, glockenspiel and timpani created something rarely heard on record or on stage. While At the Hollow’s soundscape was serene and sensitive, tranquillity has transformed into rage, anger and power that comes from deep within. The album’s music combines the raw sensitivity and punk attitude of Apulanta’s Kiila with the heavy melodic nature of Dissection’s Reinkaos album. The drums hit hard, the riffs cut deep, and the vocals carry with strength. Despite the heavy surface, Surunaamio also carries a deep blue melancholy, not unlike Juha Tapio. The combination of Surunaamio doesn’t neatly fit into any single genre, but it contains influences from different directions and makes it something entirely its own. Light, shadows and every shade in between.

Power metal masters Insania release new video “The Trinity” from upcoming album “The Great Apocalypse” out June 13th

Swedish power metal masters Insania release today their new single and accompanying video “The Trinity”, taken from the upcoming new studio album “The Great Apocalypse”, out on June 13th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

Pre-order “The Great Apocalypse”
HERE

Guitarist Niklas Dahlin described the new single: “This song centres on the first nuclear weapons test, codenamed Trinity, conducted at a remote site near Alamogordo, New Mexico, in 1945. That fateful day reshaped the world forever. It is said that even the blind could see the bright light from the explosion…”

About the new album, the band commented: “The Great Apocalypse picks up just where Insania V left us, and many of the songs are touching the subject of mankind being destructive and never learning from our previous mistakes. In fact, every song on this album is a little bit darker than the songs on Insania V, so sit back, raise the volume on your device, and let yourself flow into the darkness of our world going under with an incredible and beautiful sound of The Great Apocalypse”.

Four years after the successful “V”, the Swedes are back with their own recipe of power metal, full of speedy, double-bass drums, great hooks, and amazing solos. The band’s current line-up consists of Mikko Korsbäck (drums), Erik Arkö (bass), Niklas Dahlin (guitars), Ola Halén (vocals and guitars).

The first version of Insania was formed in 1992 by drum player Mikko Korsbäck and guitar player Henrik Juhano. Bass player Tomas Stolt was added to the line-up shortly after, and a few other musicians were also part of the band for short periods of time.

The band initially started off playing covers of their favorite bands such as Helloween and Iron Maiden, but eventually Mikko’s classmate Niklas Dahlin joined as a second guitar player and they started writing their own tunes. The band then added keyboard player Patrik Västilä and began to pursue a more melodic style. Mikko took it upon himself to sing, even if he was playing the drums at the same time, as the band had not found a vocalist to match their ambitions.

In 1997, the band approached singer David Henriksson to join the band. The union between the band’s ambitions and David’s vocals was a match made in heaven. The band felt complete and sought to find a way to reach a bigger crowd.

Later, the band was offered a deal with House Of Kicks (later known as MNW and then Sound Pollution) and their debut album “World Of Ice” was released in 1999. The band would go on to release three more albums over the course of the coming years, while enduring some line-up changes and eventually going on hiatus in 2007.

Following the signing with Frontiers to release “V”, Insania started to bring their power metal attack again back to the metalheads around the globe, revitalized with the addition of the singer extraordinaire Ola Halén.

“The Great Apocalypse” Tracklist:

1.    The Trinity
2.    Indestructible
3.    No One’s Hero
4.    Afterlife
5.    Revolution
6.    The Prophesier

Eternal Idol return with new album “Behind A Vision” out July 11th

Italian metallers Eternal Idol are pleased to announce the release of their new studio album “Behind A Vision”, scheduled for release on July 11th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
The first single, “Empire Of One”, and its accompanying video, offer a taste of what to expect from the new record.

Pre-Order “Behind A Vision”
HERE

Guitarist Nick Savio commented on the new single: “Empire Of One will be easily chosen as one major hit in our next live set list. This masterpiece has all the right cards to be one of the best songs ever written by Eternal Idol. Solid high class modern rock riff with the co-lead male and female vocals singers at their best”.

Talking about the new album, he added: “I’m very excited to present to all of you the new Eternal Idol chapter. This new material is so fresh and melodic, with our trademark modern symphonic touch. The connection between band members and production team made something special which I’m very happy to share with all of you. The record is epic, symphonic, modern, mainstream and bombastic as you’ve never heard before. See you out there, Idols!!!”

Eternal Idol return with a revamped, re-energized line-up and an exciting new album, “Behind A Vision”.

Following the departure of Fabio Lione (Rhapsody, Angra) and Claudia Layline, guitarist Nick Savio (Hollow Haze), bassist Andrea Buratto (Secret Sphere, Hell In The Club), and drummer Enrico Fabris, managed to bring on board two young talented singers Gabriele Gozzi (who recently joined Induction) and Letizia Merlo.

Eternal Idol’s sophomore album is an epic maelstrom of symphonic/melodic metal that will delight fans of the genre who treasure intense songwriting and impeccable vocal performances.

Nick Savio worked hard on songwriting and arrangements. The new vocalists added their personal touch on all the songs as well. The album was recorded between the end of 2019 and early 2020, produced by Eternal Idol, and mixed by Simone Mularoni (DGM, Sunstorm). “Behind A Vision” represents a promise and a statement from Eternal Idol: to be one of the absolute best melodic metal releases of the year!

Eternal Idol is a symphonic metal band which was put together by Rhapsody and Angra vocalist Fabio Lione Italian guitarist Nick Savio of Hollow Haze. Their plan was to create a new and original sound which could catch symphonic metal fans by surprise. In fact, Eternal Idol offers an intriguing mix of classic metal, symphonic rock, and a few progressive metal twists.

The band’s debut, “The Unrevealed Secret” was released in December 2016, and received an overall excellent response. The band toured Europe and Italy in support of the release in early 2017.

Unfortunately, Eternal Idol went through some lineup changes all over the years, but Nick has always been able to regroup and brought a reenergized line-up and, with a brand new album under their belt, the band is now ready to once again unleash its baroque metal sound on the world!

“Behind A Vision” Tracklist:

1.    Amnesia
2.    The Enemy Is Me
3.    Empire Of One
4.    Vampire
5.    Battle Of Souls
6.    Beyond The Sun
7.    Revolution
8.    The Idol
9.    The Eye Of God
10.    The Great Illusion
11.    Krystal

Line Up:
Gabriele Gozzi – Vocals
Letizia Merlo – Vocals
Nick Savio – Guitars and orchestral arrangements
Andrea Buratto – Bass

Lynyrd Skynyrd releases live version of iconic hit “Sweet Home Alabama” from upcoming 50th anniversary album

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd has just released a live version of their iconic hit, “Sweet Home Alabama.” The new single and music video is the second release from their upcoming live album and DVD, “Celebrating 50 Years – Live At The Ryman” (Frontiers Music SRL) – spectacularly capturing the legendary southern rock band’s historic 50th-anniversary concert at Nashville’s legendary venue. The new release will be available everywhere on June 27, 2025. Pre-Order on 2CD/DVD, Blu-Ray or a double LP here: https://ffm.to/lsryman50

The new album showcases the band’s unparalleled energy and their signature blend of blues rock and Southern hard rock swagger and stands as a celebration of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s lasting legacy in music history. Special guests on the album include Jelly Roll, Marcus King, John Osborne (The Brothers Osborne), Brent Smith (Shinedown), and Donnie Van Zant (Van Zant & .38 Special).

This special release holds profound significance as it features the final performance of founding member Gary Rossington. Less than five months before his death in March of 2023, Rossington — the last surviving original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd — expressed an earnest hope that the band’s music would continue to be performed even after he wasn’t around. And just as they’ve done for over 50 years, the band remains a driving force in rock, honoring their roots while bringing their signature sound to new audiences.

With over 28 million records sold in the U.S. and a sound as iconic as the American culture it celebrates, Lynyrd Skynyrd continues to inspire fans of all ages while embodying the very soul of Southern rock. From their humble Jacksonville beginnings, through tragedy, reunion, and redemption, the band has earned its place on Rolling Stone’s list of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” – as well as a prominent spot in the hearts of generations.

Originally formed in 1964 as My Backyard, the band evolved into Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1968, with a lineup featuring Ronnie Van Zant (vocals), Gary Rossington (guitar), Allen Collins (guitar), Larry Junstrom (bass), and Bob Burns (drums). Their 1973 debut album introduced the world to their unmistakable blend of blues, country, and hard rock. Hits like “Sweet Home Alabama” and the timeless “Free Bird” cemented their status as pioneers of the genre.

At the peak of their success, in 1977, a devastating plane crash claimed the lives of lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, and backup vocalist Cassie Gaines, leaving the music world in shock. Despite the unimaginable loss, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s legacy endured, and their music remained a beacon of Southern rock.

In 1987, the band reformed with Ronnie’s younger brother, Johnny Van Zant, taking over as lead vocalist. Lynyrd Skynyrd continued to tour and record, with guitarist Rickey Medlocke returning to the fold in 1996. Though founding member Gary Rossington’s passing in 2023 marked the end of an era, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s influence remains stronger than ever. Their enduring music, spirit, and legacy will forever stand as a testament to the power of rock and roll.

“This is all about the music and keeping it alive and keeping those guys alive through the music,” says Johnny Van Zant. “People want to hear it, and they want to hear it played live. I have people all the time saying, ‘Thank you for carrying it on so we can experience it.’”

Adds Rickey Medlocke: “Gary expressed many times his wishes that the music didn’t perish with him, that the legacy of the music would continue, not just on the radio or TV or in soundtracks but for the band to take it to the fans, go out and make sure that we delivered it 100 percent. That’s what we do.”

Scardust announce studio album “Souls” set for release on July 18th

Progressive symphonic metal band Scardust are thrilled to announce the release of their anticipated new studio album “Souls”, out on July 18th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
The band also share the new single and accompanying official video, “Dazzling Darkness”, available now.

Pre-Order “Souls” HERE

The band commented on the new album by saying: “Souls is a deep personal journey for us, combining everything from intricate progressive elements to sweeping symphonic passages, anthemic choruses and epic choirs. This album is a milestone for the band. It contains the Scardust DNA while experimenting with different writing and composing methods, involving every single musician in the band, resulting in the creation of the next evolution of our sound and pushing the boundaries of what we can express through music.”

“Thematically we’ve explored ideas of memory, belonging, loss, and the desire for connection, weaving in influences from different musical worlds, including orchestral, Mediterranean, and even Celtic sounds”, they added. “Souls is our most ambitious album to date, incorporating Scardust’s signature technical musicianship, and featuring the Hellscore choir and a string quartet throughout the entire album plus guest appearances from some international top tier musicians like Ross Jennings (Haken), Ally Storch (Subway to Sally), a Turkish orchestra and the TLV orchestra. It’s bold, it’s emotional and we hope it resonates deeply wherever it is heard.”

Scardust’s early years saw their debut EP, Shadow (2015), position them as a promising newcomer, while their first full-length LP, Sands of Time (2017), cemented them as one of the leading progressive metal bands in Israel. Scardust rapidly rose to the top of the local metal scene, selling out shows and opening for the likes of Symphony X, Therion, and Epica. They soon expanded their reach, touring overseas and playing festivals and headline shows in Germany, China, and the UK, while continuing to dominate stages at home.

Despite the challenges of Covid-19, 2020 saw the release of their sophomore album Strangers through M-Theory Audio, accompanied by seven self-produced music videos. Described by Dead Rhetoric as “captivating from start to finish,” Strangers introduced a unique concept album built on complementary song pairs, earning strong critical and fan acclaim.

2022 started on a high note with the visit of folk star Patty Gurdy, who joined Scardust for a live show in Israel and filmed the band’s most viewed video to date, Concrete Cages. The song, featuring a duet between Noa and Patty, tells a tale of mankind’s loss of connection with nature – culminating in a shocking twist.

That summer, the band headlined multiple shows across Europe, performing to packed arenas at Wacken Open Air and Dong Open Air. Testament’s Steve Di Giorgio, upon hearing the band from backstage, ran out front and watched the entire set, later describing himself as “mesmerized.” The year ended with the release of the dramatic one-shot video Evolution of the Disney Princess – But She’s METAL, where Noa weaves through a high-energy metal arrangement of beloved Disney Princess songs in just three and a half minutes.

2023 saw the release of Game of Now, a cinematic piece set in a futuristic dystopian live show. Scardust played festivals and concerts across Europe, spent two weeks on tour with power metal legends Blind Guardian, and signed a major multi-album deal with Frontiers Records – marking a significant milestone in their career.

Following an extended period of recording, the end of 2024 brought the release of My Haven, a powerful music video exploring the concept of finding a safe space. Shortly after, they unveiled RIP, a haunting track accompanied by a visually striking video centered around the enigmatic figure of Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Scardust continued working with filmmaker Lahav Levi, whose creative vision has played a key role in bringing their music to life on screen.

Alongside Scardust’s rise, Noa Gruman’s metal choir, Hellscore, has been gaining significant recognition. Known for their unique a cappella renditions of metal classics, they have collaborated with renowned artists and bands such as Epica, Therion, Amorphis, and Alestorm. Hellscore is also an integral part of Scardust’s sound, performing on all their albums and live shows.

Noa Gruman is also much in demand as a vocalist and the already-impressive list of her recent guest vocal appearances includes albums by Amorphis, Ayreon, Therion, Gloryhammer, Nino Helfrich and Orphaned Land.

If you are looking for the most fresh and innovative progressive album, “Souls” is set to be a milestone for the genre.

Power metal regiment Warkings’ new single “Genghis Khan” features Orden Ogan

Warkings, who draw inspiration from ancient battlefields, are working on a new album. The band began work on their fifth full-length studio album last month by releasing the title track, Armageddon, which was accompanied by a music video. The new album Armageddon will be released on July 4th. It will be released via Napalm Records.

The second single takes listeners on a journey through the legendary Mongolian army. The Genghis Khan single, which was released with a music video, features guest appearances by German metal band Orden Ogan.

“With the new Genghis Khan single, we joined forces with Orden Ogan to bring to life an epic story inspired by one of history’s greatest military forces. The song brings to life the fearless warriors of Genghis Khan – men who did not see themselves as conquerors, but as a brotherhood guided by a unified vision,” the band says in a statement.

Founded in 2018, Warkings is known for its theatrical style and its members performing under pseudonyms, representing warriors from different eras – The Tribune (vocals), The Crusader (guitar), The Viking (bass) and The Spartan (drums). Warkings’ music combines heavy riffs, catchy choruses and epic melodies with historical and mythical themes. The band draws influences from classic power metal as well as more modern heavy metal.

Warkings’ albums have been widely praised for their energy and storytelling. The band’s strong vision and hard work have cemented Warkings’ place in the European metal scene. The band has been seen on Europe’s biggest stages, such as Wacken, and a busy festival summer is expected this year as well.
