Laurenne/Louhimo share new video “Falling Through Stars” from upcoming album set for release on April 18th

Laurenne/Louhimo – the collaboration between powerhouse Finnish vocalists Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast) and Netta Laurenne (Smackbound) – are pleased to share their new single and accompanying music video, “Falling Through Stars”, the title track of their sophomore album set for release on April 18th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

Talking about the new single, Netta Laurenne commented: “Being both the title track and the opening track of the album, “Falling Through Stars” is a melodic heavy metal song that sets a strong tone to what’s coming and what can be expected of the album. The song is about taking chances and trusting yourself. To stand up to what you believe in even if no one else does”.

About the album, she said: “Falling Through Stars” is our second collaborative album with Noora, and it gave us the opportunity to step in and out of our comfort zones to meet halfway. We had a great time writing and recording the album, which I co-produced with my husband, Nino Laurenne”.

“This album takes us on a journey through both the past and future of metal. We’ve aimed to incorporate styles, instruments, and emotions spanning from the ’70s to the present day. It’s a dynamic album that showcases both raw power and delicate moments, and we’re excited to share it with everyone”, continued Laurenne.

Laurenne/Louhimo is one of the most exciting projects on Frontiers Music Srl and, in this second chapter, delivers a full force metal assaults with the power to blow you away.

Laurenne/Louhimo offers listeners a mix of heavy metal and hard rock tracks that explores the variety of the genre, while maintaining a straightforward, easy-to-enjoy appeal.

“Falling Through Stars” has shades of all eras of Rainbow here and there as well as Judas Priest and many other 80’s icons of the style, all these influences are expertly filtered into Netta and Noora way of composing music.

The idea about the possible collaboration between Netta and Noora came to reality once the pandemic started and cleared out calendars for both the artists, it felt like a perfect time to start the project and share all the common things they have, from the same original town to the similar idols and influences.

The main highlights of the album are, naturally, the vocal melodies created and shared by Netta Laurenne and Noora Louhimo.

The album has been once again produced at the Sonic Pump studio under the guidance of Nino Laurenne (that also played the guitars and contributed to the songwriting) and the production is clear, powerful and gives the deserved value to the two stars here.

Songs like “Falling Through Stars”, “Damned”, “Loud And Clear” or “Wait” are just few of the highlights of a great album that will please all the melodic metal fans!

Metal newcomer Hollowborn releases their debut album – 66 Sins will be heard live at the release gig in Helsinki on April 9th

Hollowborn, who gave a warning of what was to come with their dizzying Mind Chaos single last month, released their debut album 66 Sins. The quintet Julius Nikander – Anton Louko – Ronnie Roos – Bryan Ugartechea – Jani Aalto is purposefully heading towards the international market of modern metal, and the catchy singles, spiced with progressive elements, have already made the industry buzz.

“66 Sins tells a dark dystopian story that dives deep into a variety of emotions, combining complex rhythms and melodies that captivate and challenge the listener in equal measure,” the band says.

The band, which also challenges itself technically, constantly stretches its own boundaries both musically and in terms of the elements traditionally associated with metal. The end result is an aggressive and spacious ensemble, in which a certain chaos has been harnessed as a resource.

This is also the case in the two songs taken from the album, for which Dystopian has already been released with a video, while the album opener Aeon takes on an even darker landscape.

“Aeon deals with the course of an individual’s existential journey and the distortion of time through themes of mortality and chaos. The lyrics convey destruction, despair and mysticism, and ‘aions’ describe the different cycles of time and the continuity of life and death,” the band says, adding that the song also captures the feelings that come with understanding that the crushing weight of time cannot be escaped.

“The chorus reflects the inevitable plunge into darkness and despair, in which the ‘Hollowborn’ – those who have been lost or corrupted – are thrown into a state of eternal pain. As the narrator feels his life slipping away, the song hints at the irreversibility of time, the approach of death and the struggle to transcend the limits of his own mortality.”

The band, which builds diverse musical short films in its songs, also praises the album’s sound wizard Rami Nykänen, who captured the innovative and brutal sound.

“The brilliant thundering sound was conjured by Rami Nykänen, who mixed and mastered the album and recorded the drums at Sonic Pump Studios, creating a big and powerful soundscape for the album. 66 Sins gives a heavy, blood-curdling ride where there is no mercy. Are you ready to face your 66 sins?”

Hollowborn is heading to gigs as early as next week, and the official album release gig for the 66 Sins album will be held at Bar Loose in Helsinki on April 9th.

Hollowborn is:
Vocals: Julius Nikander
Guitar: Anton Louko
Guitar: Ronnie Roos
Bass: Bryan Ugartechea
Drums: Jani Aalto

Rawmoor Unleashes Symphonic Blackened Death Metal Assault With Lyric Video For “Forth”

Symphonic blackened death metal duo RawMoor proudly unveils the lyric video for “Forth,” a relentless descent into darkness, taken from their forthcoming album En Route, due for release on May 2, 2025, via Wormholedeath.

Prepare for total devastation. RawMoor unleashes Forth—a symphonic blackened death metal assault forged in defiance and drenched in wrath. This track drags you through a desolate wasteland of oppression, hypocrisy, and forced indoctrination, culminating in a rallying cry against the system.

Crushing riffs, ferocious vocals, and orchestral darkness collide to deliver a soul-shattering experience. Will you bow to the tyranny, or will you rise?

With an uncompromising vision, RawMoor merges haunting melodies, blistering riffs, and symphonic grandeur into an unrelenting storm of blackened death metal. Drawing inspiration from Dimmu Borgir, Agathodaimon, Windir, Cradle of Filth, Behemoth, and Finntroll, the duo carves out their own identity in the extreme metal underground.
Their upcoming album, En Route, cements their ability to balance brutality with elegance, setting them apart in an already savage genre. Guest soloist Renton (tracks 2, 3, 6) adds searing leads to the chaos, while Brim’s vocals deliver a dual assault of guttural brutality and spectral shrieks.

Ginger Evil share new video “Black Waves” from their debut album “The Way It Burns” out now

Finnish female-fronted rock sensations Ginger Evil are pleased to share the official video for “Black Waves”, taken from their debut album, “The Way It Burns”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

Watch the official music video for “Black Waves”

Buy/Stream “The Way It Burns” HERE

The band commented on the new video: “Our debut album “The Way It Burns” was released 6 weeks ago. There have been expectations, of course, but the reception has exceeded all of them. We played the album release show last weekend, and it became clear that we have created something that touches people’s emotions. Something that rock fans have clearly been missing”.

“As a thank you for that, here is a small sample of what Ginger Evil is, what it looks like, and how it feels live on stage. Huge thanks to everyone who has embraced us. It feels good, hopefully, we’ll see you soon, wherever you are!”, they added.

Ginger Evil began as Moonshine Inc. in 2005, in a rehearsal room in Helsinki, Finland. After a couple of years of rehearsal and composing, a fruitless search for a singer meant the songs were put on ice.
Meanwhile, guitarist Tomi Julkunen and bassist Veli Palevaara continued gigging in Finland with The Milestones, including arena shows with Deep Purple and Whitesnake. In the aftermath of their fifth album, those Moonshine Inc. songs from a decade back emerged from hibernation, so the search began again for a vocalist.

The powerful voice of Ella Tepponen was known to Tomi and Veli from many theatre and music projects, and drummer Toni Mustonen was already familiar to everyone. Jamming together found a shared musical passion, and a group creative process soon flourished. Ginger Evil was born.

“From Foo Fighters to Fleetwood Mac,” is how the band hears their music, with singer Ella bringing a whole new kind of twist to their rock expression. Once the band got together and songs were taking shape, on board jumped music producer and film director Richard Stanley, known for his work with The Who and John Lennon, heard demos of Ginger Evil and was inspired to co-write lyrics.

In 2022 Ginger Evil signed a deal with Frontiers Music Srl. (Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, TOTO, Whitesnake, Skunk Anansie). Debut album “The Way It Burns” was released on February 14, 2025. Organic and fresh sounding album was something that rock fans had been waiting for since the 90’s; something familiar, something new, something that got their asses shaking once more!

“The Way It Burns” Tracklist:

1.    Rainmaker
2.    Dead On Arrival
3.    Shame Old
4.    Flames
5.    Hands Move To Midnight
6.    Arrowhead
7.    Better Get In Line
8.    Black Waves
9.    Whispers
10.    Not Your Fool
11.    Last Frontier
12.    Wake Me

Greywind begin a new chapter for 2025 with emo anthem ‘Acid Rain’

The next chapter in Irish brother-sister duo Greywind’s journey starts here. Steph and Paul O’Sullivan released their first single for new label FLG – the cinematic, emo anthemAcid Rain. A pulsating, melody-fuelled, crowd-rouser-in-the-making, the track is here to exorcise some demons. Steph says: “This song is about being in a toxic situation and feeling like everything is crashing down around you, which we know all too much about.” Paul adds: “As soon as we finished writing ‘Acid Rain’, we knew it had to be the first song to start the new era of Greywind. It’s cinematic, dramatic and has everything we love about music in it. We wanted it to feel like a movie and you’re now in our world.”

Inspired by great emo pop originators like Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, Greywind are on a mission to bring the genre into the future with an insatiable energy and armed with a never-ending supply of hooks. The duo’s flair for the dramatic and knack for an earworm melody is seeing them build their own musical world, to which they’re inviting their dedicated following, along with any unsuspecting listener lucky enough to arrive at the doors of their universe.

Greywind’s poignantly visceral ‘Antidote’ EP was released last year via Version III and acted as a stepping stone from their debut album (‘Afterthoughts’, released in 2017 via Spinefarm) to this new era. The EP was jointly produced by Sam Guaiana (Neck Deep, Silverstein, Like Pacific, Intervals) and The Wonder Years guitarist Casey Cavaliere. It was mastered by Mike Kalajian (Saosin, New Found Glory, Circa Survive). Singles from the EP received praise from the likes of Kerrang!, Brooklyn Vegan and Hot Press, as well as spins on BBC Radio 1 and Kerrang! Radio.

Recently seen live in the UK with the likes of The Wonder Years, Madina Lake and As December Falls, Greywind are also making a splash internationally, having toured the US multiple times last year with Tiny Moving Parts, 408, Boys of Fall and Telltale.

Underwater Father’s second single is a song about addiction, depression, and anxiety

2024 formed Finnish Underwater Father releases their debut EP “Without
Waves” on April 29th 2025. Now released song and music video “Drowned” is the second single from EP. The track fuses the raw intensity of black metal with the crushing melodies of melodic death metal and heavy, chugging riffs. Towards the end, hardcore and punk metal influences emerge, adding depth and dynamic contrast.

Listen to the single on music services (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer jne.): https://push.fm/fl/underwaterfather-drowned

The band tells about the song:
“What’s the song about? Well, cheerful topics like addiction, depression, and anxiety. In this story, the protagonist’s life slips out of control — like a bar of soap in a prison shower — until they ultimately decide to paint a picture… with their victim’s blood. The lyrics, penned by Samu Haatainen and Jere Harju, take the listener deep into the darkest corners of addiction, portraying its pain, destruction, and the extreme consequences that unfold when things spiral too far.

The track also features guest vocals by Jere Harju. “Drowned” is not only a stark depiction of addiction’s hopelessness but also a powerful collaboration, where Harju’s distinctive voice and lyrics bring an intense and haunting element to the song’s conclusion”

Biography:
Formed in the summer of 2024, Underwater Father was born from the vision of Samu Haatainen (guitars, vocals), who sought to create something darker and more stripped-down compared to their other band, Of Spite. Sharing most of its members with Of Spite, the lineup consists of Antti Lampinen (bass), Jan Lindberg (guitars, backing vocals), and Joonas Nieminen (drums) — a tight-knit unit with a shared passion for pushing metal’s boundaries.

Musically, Underwater Father weaves together the ferocity of black and death metal with the emotional depth of melodic metal. Drawing influences from bands like Mgła, Horna, Uada, Cradle of Filth on the extreme side and Sentenced, Bloodpit, and Somehow Jo! etc. On the melodic spectrum, the band creates music that is both crushing and atmospheric. Lyrically, their songs explore themes of birth, death, karma, and the search for meaning in life’s journey—both the light and the darkness that shape our fate.

Finnish Hard Rock newcomer Phantomy released High Octane single – debut album out in June

Phantomy from Iisalmi, Finland released their debut single High Octane, which will be featured on the band’s upcoming debut album From the Wild, set for release on June 13th 2025 via Inverse Records.

From the Wild offers listeners a heavy dose of old-school rock’n’roll attitude blended with hard rock and heavy metal — the kind of music that’s made to blast in smoke-filled garages and inside beer-soaked, velvet-upholstered muscle cars.

High Octane represents the catchier and lighter side of the album, but the band still keeps the pedal firmly to the metal. When the intro kicks off, the listener won’t dare — or even want — to jump off this ride.

LISTEN to High Octane single: https://push.fm/fl/phantomy-high

Phantomy’s guitarist Rasmus Laurila describes the song:
“The guys in the band used to describe our music as high-octane rock’n’roll, and that’s where the idea for the whole song came from. One time at our cabin, after a few beers, I was just jamming on my acoustic guitar and almost the entire song came together in just a few minutes — starting from the intros hard rocking boogieriff. Later on, I wrote the vocals and wanted to throw in some epic 80s-style harmonies and high-soaring singing. The song ended up being exactly what I wanted: full throttle from start to finish, and it really reflects who we are as a band.”

Line-up:

Samu Karhu – Vocals
Eetu Räsänen – Guitar & backing vocals
Rasmus Laurila – Guitar & backing vocals
Roope Lappalainen – Bass
Herkko Lappalainen – Drums

POWER METAL MASTERS INSANIA ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM “THE GREAT APOCALYPSE” SET FOR RELEASE ON JUNE 13TH, 2025 VIA FRONTIERS MUSIC SRL

Swedish power metal masters Insania are pleased to announce the release of their new studio album “The Great Apocalypse”, out on June 13th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
The first single and accompanying visualizer video, “Revolution”, are available now, giving the audience a taste of the upcoming record.

Pre-order “The Great Apocalypse” HERE

About the new album, the band commented: “The Great Apocalypse picks up just where Insania V left us, and many of the songs are touching the subject of mankind being destructive and never learning from our previous mistakes. In fact, every song on this album is a little bit darker than the songs on Insania V, so sit back, raise the volume on your device, and let yourself flow into the darkness of our world going under with an incredible and beautiful sound of The Great Apocalypse”.

Talking about the first single, they added: “Revolution is a story about a world that is becoming more and more like a mental institution. Imagine the world’s leaders embedding their desire to keep the power into fancy words about trying to make society equal and just for all people serving it. At the same time, they take away their rights, making it look like the people are voting for them to do it – wouldn’t that be just pure evil? Well – the people have had enough! So now it’s time for the world leaders to feel the fear and listen to the sound of Revolution!”

Four years after the successful “V”, the Swedes are back with their own recipe of power metal, full of speedy, double-bass drums, great hooks, and amazing solos. The band’s current line-up consists of Mikko Korsbäck (drums), Erik Arkö (bass), Niklas Dahlin (guitars), Ola Halén (vocals and guitars).

The first version of Insania was formed in 1992 by drum player Mikko Korsbäck and guitar player Henrik Juhano. Bass player Tomas Stolt was added to the line-up shortly after, and a few other musicians were also part of the band for short periods of time.

The band initially started off playing covers of their favorite bands such as Helloween and Iron Maiden, but eventually Mikko’s classmate Niklas Dahlin joined as a second guitar player and they started writing their own tunes. The band then added keyboard player Patrik Västilä and began to pursue a more melodic style. Mikko took it upon himself to sing, even if he was playing the drums at the same time, as the band had not found a vocalist to match their ambitions.

In 1997, the band approached singer David Henriksson to join the band. The union between the band’s ambitions and David’s vocals was a match made in heaven. The band felt complete and sought to find a way to reach a bigger crowd.

Later, the band was offered a deal with House Of Kicks (later known as MNW and then Sound Pollution) and their debut album “World Of Ice” was released in 1999. The band would go on to release three more albums over the course of the coming years, while enduring some line-up changes and eventually going on hiatus in 2007.

Following the signing with Frontiers to release “V”, Insania started to bring their power metal attack again back to the metalheads around the globe, revitalized with the addition of the singer extraordinaire Ola Halén.

“The Great Apocalypse” Tracklist:

1.    The Trinity
2.    Indestructible
3.    No One’s Hero
4.    Afterlife
5.    Revolution
6.    The Prophesier
