New death doom metal project Resumption release debut single “Don’t come”

New death doom metal project Resumption from the mind of Wilhelm Lindh (The Gardnerz, ex:Tristitia, ex: Pandemonium, ex: Allamedah) relesed devut single “Don’t Come”.
The debut single, “Don’t Come” serves as a defiant anthem against toxic influences from toxic people, exploring the necessity of isolation to preserve one’s sanity.

Resumption bridges the gap between the crushing groove of Bolt Thrower, Broken Hope, Pyrexia, Acheron (US) and the suffocating slow atmosphere of Funeral (Nor).
Lyrically Resumption tackles the harrowing realities of mental health and anti-religious sentiment.

Wilhelm Lindh is a Swedish native that has been living in Portugal for many years. After years of playing in blues bands, Wilhelm felt it was time for another dive into the cesspool of dirty Death Doom Metal.

The outcome is a 9 track album called “The Respite” set to be released digitally on the 17th of April. The album is dedicated to Wilhelms Father (R.I.P) who hated Metal music but nevertheless always supported his son’s musical efforts.

Resumption: the action of beginning something again after a pause.

Line-up:
Wilhelm Lindh – all instruments and “vocals”
A live line up is in the works.

APE VERMIN Push Their Cosmic Sludge Saga Forward with New Video “Awakened” From Latest Album “Andromedas Colossus”

North Carolina’s progressive sludge metal juggernaut Ape Vermin has released a brand‑new lyric video for “Awakened,” the eighth and most explosive track from their latest album, “Andromedas Colossus.” The video was crafted by Kenji Tsunami of Tsunami Films, known for his visual work as well as his role as bassist for Narcotic Wasteland.

“Awakened” stands as the album’s most ferocious statement, a collision of sludge, thrash, and apocalyptic storytelling delivered with the band’s signature weight and intensity. According to guitarist/vocalist Brett Lee, the track represents a pivotal moment in the album’s narrative:

“We’re back, and we’re making up for lost time. Hell has come back to life. The Colossus is awake.”

Kenji Tsunami’s visual interpretation amplifies the track’s themes of cosmic destruction, ancient forces, and the return of something colossal and malevolent. The lyric video mirrors the album’s overarching atmosphere, dark, prophetic, and unrelenting, while giving fans a deeper look into the world Ape Vermin has constructed across the record.

The band describes “Andromedas Colossus” as dynamic, melodic, visceral, and brutally dark, both musically and lyrically. “Awakened” embodies all of these traits, merging machine‑gun double bass, razor‑sharp guitar leads reminiscent of Dimebag Darrell and Kerry King, and enough low‑end force to “destroy planets,” as Lee puts it.

Formed in 2017, Ape Vermin has evolved into a three‑piece force of colossal riffs and amplifier worship. The lineup, Brett Lee (guitar/vocals), Seth Lynn (drums), and Jared Edge (bass), has built a reputation across North America for a no‑frills, high‑volume live show rooted in heaviness and precision.

Tracks on “Andromedas Colossus” were in development for nearly five years, some written immediately after the band’s previous release, “Sonic Monolith.” The album takes listeners on what the band calls an “epic sonic journey,” moving from the crushing opener “Obliteration Imminent” to the atmospheric “Colony,” the prophetic “Solaruss,” the hypnotic instrumental “Pulse Driver,” and the environmentally charged “Mining the Colossus.” The record’s closing tracks, “Unearthing the Artifact” and “Return to Andromeda,” complete a narrative steeped in cosmic horror, mysticism, and the darker corners of the human psyche.

As the band’s personal favorite, “Awakened” represents the album’s thematic eruption. Its lyrics, invoking ten thousand years of slumber, portals of time, and the rebirth of hell, reflect the dark realm Lee has been building in his writing for over a decade. Influenced by outer‑space phenomena, extraterrestrial lore, prehistoric myth, murder, psychedelics, and sci‑fi horror, Ape Vermin’s lyrical world is as expansive as it is sinister.

With influences ranging from High on Fire, Crowbar, Mastodon, Yob, and Conan, the band continues to push sludge metal into new territory, blending doom, thrash, groove, progressive elements, and death‑tinged aggression. Fans can expect even more crushing material on the next LP, which the band confirms is already in motion.

Italian Folk Metal AEXYLIUM Shares New Lyric Video “Eclissi” From Album “Myth of Mankind”

Rockshots Records is proud to announce the release of the new lyric video for “Eclissi”, taken from “Myth of Mankind“, the third full-length album by Italian folk metal act Aexylium.

Eclissi” marks a defining moment in Aexylium’s artistic journey. Musically rooted in the band’s unmistakable fusion of modern metal intensity and traditional folk instrumentation, the track stands out as the first song in the band’s career written entirely in Italian, a deliberate and meaningful choice that reinforces its emotional impact and narrative depth. Layered choirs, wide melodic lines, and a carefully balanced orchestral framework make “Eclissi” one of the most evocative compositions on “Myth of Mankind,” while also enhancing its strong potential in a live setting where audience interaction becomes an integral part of the song’s identity.

Commenting on the track, the band explains that “Eclissi fits perfectly with the musical lines of the album and represents a new expressive space for us. Writing in Italian allowed the lyrics to flow more naturally, strengthening the emotional connection between words and music while the choirs make it especially powerful during live performances.”

The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Davide Tavecchia at Twilight Studio, ensuring a powerful yet detailed production that highlights both the band’s metallic core and its rich instrumental textures. The front cover was designed by Gustavo Sazes (Arch Enemy, Machine Head, Amaranthe).”Myth of Mankind” represents the most mature and personal chapter in Aexylium’s discography, addressing introspective and abstract themes while consciously stepping beyond genre stereotypes without losing sight of the band’s roots.

Formed in Italy in 2014, Aexylium have steadily built a strong reputation within the European folk metal scene, performing at major festivals such as Dong Open Air, Tanzt!, and Montelago Celtic Festival and sharing the stage with acts including Blind Guardian, Elvenking, Wind Rose, and TÝR. Following the releases of “Tales From This Land” (2018) and “The Fifth Season” (2021), the band returns with “Myth of Mankind“, an album that fully encapsulates their growth in terms of songwriting, production, and artistic vision.

The lyric video for “Eclissi” offers listeners and media partners a focused insight into one of the album’s most distinctive tracks, highlighting both its linguistic uniqueness and its role within the conceptual and musical framework of “Myth of Mankind“.

Finnish Dark Metal band Horizon of Aeons to release debut album – Kairos single out now

The Finnish dark metal band Horizon of Aeons are set to release their debut album, Timeless Forms of Desolation, on 29 May 2026 via Inverse Records. The single ‘Kairos’, is out now and it’s available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/horizon-of-aeons-kairos

The band comments:

“The lyrics deal with the concept of deep time. The vastness of the universe challenges human perspective. Our collective cosmic history shapes the eternal harmony of our souls. We are part of the ever-flowing stream of humanity’s consciousness. Musically, this song is more up-tempo and contains unique elements compared to other Horizon of Aeons songs. It is a perfect opening track as it gives the album a good kickstart with the blasting double bass on the drums. The outro is a piece of text spoken by our technician and co-producer Kristian Kipinoinen. This text is handled more closely in the song “1846 (The Ones Beneath)”.”

Horizon of Aeons is a gothic dark metal band founded in 2024, bringing together

seasoned musicians from the Finnish metal scene. The band consists of Miska Lehtivuori (vocals, guitar), Ville Pekkala (guitar), Pekka Venho (bass), and Pekka Jokela (drums). These members have a rich history of playing together in various bands (Fall of the Leafe, Ablaze in Hatred, Searing Meadow, Mormânt De Snagov, Leaflet, Jackie’s Land), which laid the foundation for their cohesive and powerful sound.

Horizon of Aeons’ musical influences are as diverse as the members’ extensive backgrounds in the metal scene. Each member brings a wealth of experience from their previous bands, contributing to the band’s unique sound.

Together, these musicians create a sound that is both intense and melodic, drawing from a wide array of metal subgenres. Their influences span across various styles, allowing them to craft a distinctive musical identity that is uniquely their own. This blend of experience and inspiration results in a sound that is both familiar and innovative, pushing the boundaries of gothic dark metal.

Themes and Lyrics

Horizon of Aeons’ lyrics delve deeply into the dark and complex concept of time and its relentless progression. Their songs often explore the infinite future contrasted with the finite past, creating a haunting and introspective atmosphere. The band masterfully weaves themes of existence and memory into their music, painting vivid pictures of a world where time is both a creator and a destroyer.

In addition, Horizon of Aeons touches on themes of cosmic forces, often using esoteric and mystical imagery. They explore the inherent inclinations of humanity, the seductive nature of sin, and the purifying power of darkness. This adds a layer of depth to their music, as they challenge conventional beliefs and embrace the darker aspects of existence.

Overall, the band’s lyrics are a profound exploration of time, existence, and the human condition, offering listeners a journey through the infinite and the ephemeral.

Debut Release

Horizon of Aeons’ debut album titled Timeless Forms of Desolation is set to be released through Inverse Records in 2026. Their first single, Haunting Presence, is already available on all digital platforms, showcasing a tantalizing preview of their dark, atmospheric sound through a condensed single edit.

From Sheep To Wolves Drop new Lyric Video “Hollow”

Modern metal outfit From Sheep To Wolves have released the lyric video for “Hollow”. The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album Ephemeris, due for release on 27 February 2026 via Wormholedeath.

“Hollow” delivers an uncompromising takedown of contemporary conformity, tearing apart the illusion of comfort that masks what the band sees as modern-day enslavement. With unrelenting honesty, From Sheep To Wolves dissect the price of acceptance: dreams abandoned, questions silenced, and lives reduced to clockwork routine. Safe on the surface. Empty underneath.

Musically, the track balances weight and restraint. Heavy riffs lock in with tight rhythms, while subtle electronic layers add tension rather than release. It’s direct, focused, and honest.

“Hollow” follows previous singles “Submission” and “Rejection,” building momentum toward Ephemeris, an album that promises to challenge listeners as much as it captivates them.

Ephemeris marks the band’s most ambitious work to date, blending technical precision with raw, emotive storytelling.

Fans can pre-save the album now at orcd.co/ephemeris

From Sheep To Wolves is an alternative Metal/ Rock band. Formed by Carlo Cranmer & John Castiel in 2015. The project was driven by production; however, the live performance was inevitable after the great response from listeners, fans, friends, and family. From heavy breakdowns to electronic beats, they are versatile, yet always have a strong message with heart and soul. You never know what to expect.

Finnish melodic death/black metal band Se, Josta Ei Puhuta to release fourth studio album – first single and music video out now

The Finnish melodic death/black metal band Se, Josta Ei Puhuta are set to release their fourth studio album, Syvyyden portit on saatava auki, on 29 May 2026 via Inverse Records. The first single ‘Kuolemaa ei ole’, accompanied by a music video, is out now.

The band comments:
Kuolemaa ei ole is a declaration of rebirth and the fracture of consciousness. That which remains unspoken opens a gateway to unseen realms, where the end is not an ending but a transition. The song simmers beneath the surface, shifting in intensity as if an ancient force were awakening within a body long believed to be dead.

Interwoven guitar harmonies guide the listener from one layer to another, creating a tense yet unexpectedly warm atmosphere. Resurrection does not occur through light, but through darkness, where the old self is abandoned and a new form is born.

For this reason, Kuolemaa ei ole is a natural choice as the album’s first release. It is a beginning, but also a reminder of eternity. The song functions as a ritual in which the concept of death is stripped of its meaning. What remains is movement, continuation, and an endless cycle. We have seen the light, we have risen from the dead, this eternity is but a blink of an eye in the vastness of eternities.”

LISTEN to the single on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/sjep-kuolemaa

Se, josta ei puhuta is a metal band from Iisalmi. The band was founded in 2007.

That same year, the band recorded a four-track demo titled Se, josta ei puhuta and signed a recording contract with the Sound of Finland label in the spring of 2010. The album Ne, joista ei puhuta was released in May 2010.

In the spring of 2011, the band recorded their second studio album, Musta, kylmä, syvä ja samea (Black, cold, deep and murky), which was released by Spinefarm Records in November 2011.

In 2010 and 2011, Se, josta ei puhuta toured actively across Finnish venues. The band began preparations for a third album, which was, however, put on hold during the production phase in late 2012.

In 2022, as a result of the band’s rebirth, the third album Gehenna was completed and released through Inverse Records. The lineup, which had remained unchanged until then, saw its first change when Jimi Myöhänen was chosen as the drummer following the release of the new album.

The band finished recording their fourth album Syvyyden portit on saatava auki-  in the fall of 2025, and the album is scheduled to be released during 2026.

Over the years, the rawness of the band’s early HC punk and death metal has evolved into a more complex, black metal-influenced death metal, while still proudly maintaining the edginess of their early days.

Line-up:

Samu Männikkö – Vocals
Harri Granqvist – Guitar
Heikki Matero – Guitar
Juho-Pekka Lappalainen – Bass
Jimi Myöhänen – Drums

Basque Black Metal Project ASCHEN Drops The Last Glow

Basque black metal unit Aschen has released a haunting lyric video for their latest track, “The Last Glow.” The song is a standout piece from their upcoming debut album, The Never Ending Search, set to be unleashed on March 13, 2026.

“The Last Glow” paints a world after the sun’s death, where humanity survives by feeding a single flame that slowly consumes everything, until only the self remains. The flame becomes a metaphor for human dissatisfaction: endless, devouring, and only resolved through inner transformation.

Founded in 2022 by Mikel Telletxea (vocals, guitar, programming), Aschen has grown from a solo vision into a powerful creative partnership with the addition of bassist Atauzz (Korkut, Kurkuma, 2Sonte).

The duo recorded the debut at Atala Studios in Spain, ensuring the project’s raw energy was captured with precision. To achieve a massive, professional finish, the album was mastered by Toni Lindgren at the world-renowned Fascination Street Studios in Sweden—the same hands behind the sound of heavyweights like Dimmu Borgir, Katatonia, and Kreator.

The Sound of Aschen
Aschen’s approach to black metal is both aggressive and expansive. By blending traditional frost-bitten roots with doom-laden atmosphere and technical blast beats, the band creates a soundscape that is as melodic as it is punishing. Lyrically, they bridge the gap between English and Basque, exploring themes of psychological fracture and environmental decay that go far beyond standard genre tropes.

Terravia announces their debut album “A New World” Out March 2nd

With the debut album A New World, Norwegian act Terravia is positioning themselves as a new comet in the prog sky. After several concerts around their hometown of Trondheim throughout the past year which culminated in a support gig with Conception at their concert in Trondheim in October the focus has been on completing their debut album. With the album out, the band is now ready to address a larger audience.

Their music has been compared to everything from Dream Theater, Opeth and Transatlantic to more traditional prog like Pink Floyd and Genesis.

The songs are often long and complex, and include everything from quiet, contemplative sections to epic climaxes. Genre-wise, they range quite widely, with inspiration from both 70s prog rock and more modern subgenres within rock and metal.

– We’ve been working on the music on this album for a long time now, says drummer Anders Kristiansen.

– We’re looking forward to finally letting people hear it in its entirety. We’ve played the songs live, but it’s different when you have the studio recordings compiled on an album, and can reach listeners who haven’t had the opportunity to attend any of our concerts yet.

The album’s first single, Arcane Horizons, came out in April last year, and single number two, The Origin, was released at the end of November. Both have been very well received, and have garnered praise from all quarters.

A New World consists of five songs, which are linked together in a loose concept where the main theme can be said to be human hubris and the inability to learn from past mistakes.

Singer Petter Falk elaborates:

– If you look at the big picture, you can interpret the concept as a civilization destroying itself, and the survivors must travel to a new world to start over. But you can also see it from the perspective of an individual who must start over after their own vanity, pride and greed have torn down the life they had.

The album opens with War!, which describes the destruction that war brings, both on a societal and on a personal level. The Origin explores learning from the mistakes of the past, perhaps what led to the strife in the first place, and making better choices in the future. Strive to Endure is about standing together against the destruction humanity is inflicting on the world, and building each other up instead of tearing each other down, while in Arcane Horizons you get a glimpse of what the future could be like if you can’t learn from your previous mistakes and work towards a common goal. The title track, A New World, depicts a journey to a new world where one can start over, in the hope of not falling into the same traps again.

So what are the plans going forward for Terravia? Guitarist Anders Danielsen answers:

– Now we are putting all our efforts into the band. We want to play as much as possible, and are working on getting a record label. We are already well underway with the writing of album number two, so A New World is definitely not the last you will hear from us. This is just the beginning!

The drums were recorded at Stringville Studio in Lillehammer, with Kjell Magne Robak as technician. The rest of the album was recorded by the band themselves in Trondheim. Rohan Sharma contributes keys on Arcane Horizons and A New World. In addition, Tine Sköll Johansen contributes with vocals on Strive to Endure, Jørgen Krøger Mathisen with violin on A New World, and Ingrid Lauten and Jørgen Simarud Stabell with trumpet and trombone, respectively, on War!.

The album was mixed and mastered by Adam Bentley.

Charles Assaf and Petter Falk are responsible for the cover design.

Terravia is:

Anders Danielsen: electric guitar, 12-string guitar, backing vocals

Petter Falk: vocals, acoustic guitar

Øystein Helland: electric guitar, backing vocals

Anders Kristiansen: drums, marimba, percussion

Kevin Meli: bass

Øystein Myre: keys, vocals

Frozen Factory Unleash Visceral New Lyric Video “Apoca-Lip-Sync”

Progressive alt-metal phenomenon Frozen Factory returns with “Apoca-Lip-Sync,” a searing track that exposes the manipulation and chaos of modern society. With razor-sharp lyrics and visceral imagery, the band confronts blind obedience, systemic control, and self-destruction, all while questioning where hope, heart, and strength truly lie.

Frozen Factory shapes a distinct heavy rock sound built on prog-leaning metal and exploring deep themes of conflict, truth, and mystery. Their expansive influences span from the classic rock introspection of Pink Floyd and the metal might of Iron Maiden to the alternative intensity of Alice in Chains and the dark wave textures of Depeche Mode, showcasing a band with strong artistic control.

Formed in late 2018, the band’s direction was quickly cemented by the arrival of British/Finnish vocalist Stephen Baker. Following their debut album Planted Feet and their first live show in 2020, the current lineup—featuring drummer Marianne Heikkinen and lead guitarist Zsolt Szilagyi—solidified their momentum. Their 2022 album, Of Pearls & Perils, garnered notable radio support, including airplay on Germany’s SWR1, setting a high benchmark for their new material.

FROZEN FACTORY Line-Up:
Stephen Baker – Lead Vocals
Tomi Hassinen – Bass
Zsolt Szilagyi – Lead Guitar
Johnny Koivumäki – Rhythm Guitar
Marianne Heikkinen – Drums.
