LORNA SHORE Announces New Album ‘I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me’ Out September 12th

After redefining deathcore with Pain Remains, LORNA SHORE return with their most ambitious and emotionally devastating record to date: I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me. Across 10 tracks, the band blend cinematic orchestration, relentless brutality, and deep introspection—culminating in a sound that transcends genre boundaries.

Featuring the explosive opener “Prison of Flesh,” the hauntingly personal “Glenwood,” and the towering anthem “Unbreakable,” the album explores mental collapse, family trauma, and existential dread—while delivering the most grandiose arrangements the band has ever written.

The first single Oblivion was released on May 16th.

“When we were originally writing this song, we wanted to write a dark, almost… ethereal serene-like song. The goal was to give listeners that similar feeling to the one you get when watching the movie Interstellar. Specifically, we thought of the ‘Miller’s planet’ scene. The Endurance crew venture to a planet in search of resources/data only to arrive and find a desolate world. Despite it being serene, it is ultimately sterile- setting the crew back from their original goal. This ends up filling the crew with a sense of dread as they begin to realize that even one’s best efforts can still often end in vain.

I wanted to capture that feeling in this song lyrically in a way that we can all relate to. I was imagining a post-apocalyptic world in the (hopefully distant) future. A world where we have sown the seeds of our own destruction. The song starts with a description of what we have done (as humans) to the earth. The idea that we wished for better, hoped we were doing something that would help save us in this dying world, only to end up accelerating its inevitable destruction. We, as people, always wish to do right by our standards. This brings up the question; what is right? Do we even know what we’re doing? What have we done to try and actually change anything? Are we watering the earth or just feeding a constantly growing fire?

Writing this song felt like the culmination of all the things that we’ve done in the past, but brought to the next level; a more evolved version of what Lorna Shore truly is.” – Comments the vocalist Will Ramos.

NIGHT’S EDGE Announces New Album “The World That Never Was” Out Aug 2025 + New Music Video “If You Loved Me”

NIGHT’S EDGE announces the release of their fourth studio album entitled “The World That Never Was” this coming August 21st, 2025 to follow their Strangers – LP (2023), Night’s Edge – EP (2022), The Darkest Side of Dreams – LP (2020), and Shades of Dusk – LP (2019).

Since their inception in 2018, the band has gone through a few changes in lineup and sound, and has progressed significantly from their debut in 2019. Falling under the umbrella of Alternative Metal, Night’s Edge‘s sound is hard to pin down. Incorporating influences from gothic metal, progressive rock, and nu metal, the band’s music is equal parts heavy and poppy, soaked in synthesizers and drama. Lyrics breach topics including isolation, dissociation, and the romantic, approaching themes common to the human experience from a cerebral angle that complements the band’s emotionally evocative music.

Night’s Edge believes in creating music that has a purpose. There is no copy-cating of other artists, or following trends here – even the band’s select cover tunes turn the originals on their heads. This is music that you can’t get anywhere else, that has something to say, that is unique and exciting while still feeling familiar, like a friend finishing your sentences when you run out of words.

Their fourth full-length, “The World That Never Was,” is a statement of songcraft and lyricism. The album flows and progresses clearly as it explores the concept of self-identity and the loss thereof. Moments of melancholy, anger, wonder, and plenty of crushing riffs elicit the stank face. Each single shows a different side of the album.

Brian Haran (Vocals, Bass, Keys, Programming) comments:

“We think our fans will love it and agree with us that it is, hands down, the best Night’s Edge album. There will be a lot of different opinions on which song is the best or who prefers this vs that, but all of those conversations will center around this LP. This album encapsulates the Night’s Edge sound we have been building towards while experimenting with new and innovative ideas. Our lead single, “If You Loved Me,” is the most straightforward song, with a massive chorus reminiscent of HIM that continues to build through the song towards an explosive conclusion. “Someone to Stay” is a guitar-forward track with great leads, a killer solo, and very Queensryche-esque vocals. We gave ourselves a challenge for the live shows, and I (singer, Brian) curse myself for recording this song like this every time we play it live. “Smite” is the album’s heaviest song and has major Slipknot and Ghost influences. It is weirdly danceable right up until the Latin choir bridge and eventually descends into IOWA-esque screaming right before a caveman breakdown. “Love Fiction” is unique for Night’s Edge, very Deftones influenced, but with a synthwave twist featuring rare falsetto vocals. The lyrics describe the romanticization of one’s depression as a safe, never-leaving partner, “Songs in Grey Space II: Soaring” is two and a half minutes of balls out symphonic alternative metal and the middle piece in a three song suite detailing a parable of self-identity in an alternate world where the narrator is the last person on earth.”

Night’s Edge has unveiled two singles to date, “If You Loved Me” and album opener “Someone To Stay,” with more to be shared in the lead up to the record’s release in August.

The trio adds about the singles:

If You Loved Me: “All three of us love this song. It has everything – a massive chorus, a scorching guitar solo, and some unexpectedly creepy, heavy sections. A LOT of ground gets covered in under four minutes. The lyrics are a scathing reflection on manipulation, with changing perspectives between the verses and choruses. Above all, the song is inimitably Night’s Edge. This is a sound that you can only get at one place – here, with us.”

Someone to Stay: “This is our guitarist, Damian’s favorite song. The song began with a riff that Damian wrote as an intro lead. When coming up with the intro riff, he was hoping to capture “anime-intro” level energy, and we all agreed that it would make the perfect introduction to the album! Brian took that intro riff and created a very guitar-focused song out of it. The music primes the listener for the progressive compositional journey that is the rest of the album, but the song itself is easily digestible with fun riffs and catchy vocal hooks.”

Dark gothic metal cult act For My Pain… released their new single Time Will Heal Our Wounds

For My Pain…, a gothic metal supergroup formed in the whirlwind of the metal scene at the turn of the millennium, has made a spectacular return to the music scene. The band has announced that they will release a new album this year, which has so far yielded the singles Recoil Into Darkness and WitchBitch Elite. In between, they also released a special interlude single – the band’s version of Tehosekoittim’s legendary hit Hetken Tie On Kevyt.

Now, however, it’s time to turn our attention back to the new single Time Will Heal Our Wounds, whose roots go back to 2004 and singer Juha Kylmänen’s student days.

“The composer of the single Time Will Heal Our Wounds is an exceptional artist from outside the band. The song was composed by Samu Wuori and the composition was already made twenty years ago. The song was created during my music studies, when we were classmates with Samu. He heard our newly released Fallen album and was inspired to compose the song, which turned out to be a perfect fit for For My Pain,” Kylmänen recalls, and continues:

“I wrote the lyrics and vocal melodies for the song myself. We recorded a demo of it at the Salpausen School studio in Orimattila. The song was included in For My Pain’s live set, but after that it remained in a drawer and was never officially released. Now that the band has become active again, we dug this unreleased gem back into the light of day.”

Upcoming gigs:
24.5.2025, On The Rocks, Helsinki
30.5.2025, Rytmikorjaamo, Seinäjoki
27-28.6.2025, LankaFest, Puolanka
2.8.2025, Loisto-Festarit, Jonku, Pudasjärvi

For My Pain… current members:
Juha Kylmänen: vocals (Reflexion, Full Nothing)
Lauri Tuohimaa: guitar (Embraze, Tuohimaa, ex-Charon)
Olli-Pekka Törrö: guitar (ex-Eternal Tears of Sorrow)
Altti Veteläinen: bass (ex-Eternal Tears of Sorrow, ex-Kalmah, ex-The Man-Eating Tree)
Marco Sneck: keyboards (Poisonblack, Chamelion, Tuohimaa, ex-The Man-Eating Tree, ex-Kalmah)
Ari-Matti Pohjola: drums (Reflexion, ex-Soulrelic)

For My Pain…’s debut album Fallen was released worldwide in 2003 by Spinefarm Records/Universal Music and received a very positive reception both in Finland and internationally. The album quickly became a classic of its genre, with the most famous songs being Autumn Harmony, Dancer in the Dark and Rapture of Lust. A year later, a 3-song EP Killing Romance was released, which was the last release of the then line-up before the project fell into the shadows of the past in 2005. The band members were previously known from bands such as Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Nightwish, Embraze, Kalmah, Charon and Reflexion.

Samu Wuori is a composer, sound producer and multi-instrumentalist from Vantaa. He has toured and made music with some of Finland’s top artists during his career. The most notable of these has been the supergroup GG Caravan.

The new single ‘Pahat Veräjät’ showcases Sargassus’s versatile and unique blackened sound

Finnish progressive death metal band Sargassus is set to release their debut album ‘Vitruvian Rays’, out in June 13th 2025 via Inverse Records. The third and last single ‘Pahat Veräjät’ is unleashed today and it’s available on all essential streaming services:
https://push.fm/fl/sargassus-pahat

The Band Comments:
“”Pahat Veräjät’ is the third and final single before the release of the ‘Vitruvian Rays’
album. The song is both a departure from the band’s usual modus operandi, as it is sung
in Finnish, as well as a return to the roots, featuring long atmospheric passages with
progressive chord structures. As the song kicks off with ultra-fast blast beats, there is a
definite nod towards extreme metal as well. ‘Pahat Veräjät’ (‘The Bad Gates’ in english)
references the gates of Tuonela, the cold underworld of Finnish mythology. It tells the
story of a journey through the wilderness between the living and the dead, asking the
listener if a life’s worth can (or should) be measured in wealth, as all material possession
will eventually be left behind”

Matias Rokio – Drums
Teemu Leskinen – Guitar

Graveyard Angel, a Finnish female-fronted dark-rock duo, released their second single “Poisonous Smile”

Finnish dark rock duo Graveyard Angel released a new single Poisonous Smile via Inverse Records. The single comes out accompanied with a black and white video, which, together with the song lyrics tell the story of a destructive relationship, one, that wounds you deeper every day you stay.

Mika “Alde” Ahlqvist – or rather his alter ego “Ground” has composed the music and played all the instruments.  Writing the lyrics and singing all vocals and backing vocals has been Ana‘s responsibility.  Ana is already known to some from her other band “LAB“.

“We are not gloomy personalities, but for some reason we share a taste for a bit darker and harder music. Rough and punchy riffs combined with disturbing stories is what makes us tick. This pretty much defines the music style of Graveyard Angel: dark, tough and delightfully disturbed.”

“Making the video for “Poisonous Smile” was a very different process from the making of our earlier debut video. This time, instead of using AI, the video has been filmed, and set decoration done in a completely traditional way. We not only created ideas of how the video could be, but also got our own hands literally dirty with the set decoration, “ Ana smiles. The group of people making the video was, though professional, very small. “Alde and I got to participate in some assisting roles as well, which was very interesting and so much fun! ” Ana says.

The video for “Poisonous Smile” was directed and filmed by Jani “Viski” Viskari. The lighting was done by Anu Lehtonen, the leading male role played by Roni Tohmo and editing was done by Zizi Fandango.

Graveyard Angel is signed by Inverse Records.

Alternative band LUNA KILLS’ incredible year of gigs continues – More domestic gigs and European tour

LUNA KILLS is making a huge splash on the international music scene. The band, signed to SharpTone Records, released their global debut album DEATHMATCH in April, and the reception has been overwhelming – the single love u was playlisted on Finnish radio, the music video for the WAVES single was placed on the Italian MTV charts and the hit slay ur enemies has garnered radio play on BBC Radio 1. The album immediately took the band from Kuopio to their own club gigs in Europe, and now there is enough demand: Australian metalcore giant Northlane has announced that they want LUNA KILLS as support at their own gigs.

We also have a performance at the Mystic Festival in Poland before these support shows, so the summer and festival season are now getting off to a great start,” says the band’s singer Lotta Ruutiainen.

After the summer shows, LUNA KILLS is pleased to announce that the DEATHMATCH album tour will continue in Finland in the fall – tickets for the shows are on sale now. Helsinki scene’s new hit group Rebellix releases their single No Afraid with a video – The band will be seen again on Italian television later this year

Heavy rock band Rebellix, who made their first major appearance at Tuska in 2021, have spent the last year writing songs, and now we can enjoy the first fruits of these sessions. The single Not Afraid dives deep into the feelings that a toxic relationship and the resulting dysfunctional dynamics of a relationship evoke, and how they can be overcome by facing the facts.

The initial impetus for Rebellix was already in 2015, when the band’s guitarist and primus motor Samuel Honkavaara played at Alexi Laiho’s #100guitarsfromhell concert. Initially, the intention was to form a rock band with humor, but it soon became clear that Rebellix’s approach would be significantly heavier in every way. Also on the single Not Afraid, the band combines heavy metal and rock with intense energy. In addition to Honkavaara, Rebellix also includes Tomi Lappalainen, who joined the band at the beginning, as well as Toni Ahola and Jussi Junttila.

Rebellix released a cover of Holding Out For A Hero last year as a warm-up for the new songs, which also featured the wonderful voice of Nitte Valo (Dream Tale, ex-Battle Beast) and pianist Sally. Even before this, the band was seen performing in the Italian series Viaggi pazzeschi on Sky TV, and the next time Rebellix will be seen on Italian television later this year.

The Not Afraid single also featured a music video, shot by Robin Dahlström and written by Tomas Linders, that brilliantly depicts the anxiety of the human mind, featuring, among others, Nora Parma, known from the Finnish Bachelor TV series, and Marde, who plays the male lead. Supporting roles are played by Riho Kroll and Davide Renda.
