Omnium Gatherum headline North American tour in November – Featuring Aether Realm and Hinayana
One of Finland’s most active world-touring bands, Omnium Gatherum, will release their May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way album later this year and will soon head out on their own long-distance tour of North America. The tour, which includes a total of 27 shows across the continent, will start on November 16th in Boston and end on December 14th in New York. The tour will also feature North Carolina-based melodic death metal band Aether Realm and Texas-based Hinayana, who operate in the same, even heavier waters.
Omnium Gatherum was last seen touring North America with Insomnium in 2024 and before that with Eluveitie the previous year and on the band’s own extensive tour in 2022. All tickets go on sale on Wednesday, July 16th.
“We are excited and grateful to be able to play the May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way album live in November. Over the years, we have gained a huge number of friends and fans in North America, and touring a huge continent is always an adventure. Also in this time, it feels important to hopefully bring people a momentary escape from reality, which can feel oppressive at times,” the band says.
Omnium Gatherum previously announced their May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way European Tour for next year, and the band’s first single from the upcoming album, The Last Hero, was released last month. The upcoming album is particularly meaningful for the band, which was founded in Karhula, Kotka, in 1996, taking listeners back to the basics.
“Although the lyrics of the upcoming album are not autobiographical, they echo everything we’ve strived for – from street corners, screaming metal and dreaming big. It feels nice to be able to say that some of those dreams have actually already come true,” Markus Vanhala sums up.

Omnium Gatherum’s The Last Hero single heralds May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way album later this year
One of Finland’s most active world-touring bands, Omnium Gatherum, today released their first single The Last Hero from their upcoming album. May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way will be released later this year.
The Last Hero is accompanied by a now-released video shot with director Jari Heino. The video also features behind-the-scenes footage, shot by Brendam McGowan.
“’The Last Hero’ gives a great glimpse into the upcoming album, which promises to be more powerful and groove-filled. This song is the story of an old-school street hero who never gives up and keeps fighting for the sake of fighting. That unyielding attitude is admirable, but at the same time it can also prevent you from seeing and solving situations outside of the fight itself. This is a theme that can also be easily seen in many people’s real lives,” says Markus Vanhala.
Omnium Gatherum, who toured Australia with Insomnium in the spring, have already announced a European tour for next year, named after their upcoming album. They will be touring Europe with Fallujah from the US and In Mourning, the messengers of melodic death metal from Sweden.

Omnium Gatherum to tour Europe in February 2026 – May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way tour to feature Fallujah and In Mourning
Having recently returned from a successful Australian tour with Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum will head out on a four-week European tour next February. Omnium Gatherum’s May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way tour will feature support acts Fallujah from the US and In Mourning from Sweden. The tour, which will cover the most important metal regions in Europe, will start on February 11th in Copenhagen and end on March 7th in London.

“Hello Europe, OG here! It’s a pleasure to be back and entertain you. February 2026 will bring the best of Omnium Gatherum, new songs and of course classics. With the great Fallujah and In Mourning also on board, the nights will be perfect. See you on the road!”, Omnium Gatherum commented.
One of our most frequently touring metal exports, Omnium Gatherum was seen at special shows in Europe focused on the Beyond album earlier this year, and last year, in addition to the US tour, on tours in Latin America, Japan and China. The band, which was previously nominated for an Emma, has been hard at work in the studio this year, and the development of their tenth studio album has been followed on the band’s Instagram.

Omnium Gatherum celebrates next month’s tour in Japan and In China with “New Dynamic” live video
Omnium Gatherum celebrates next month’s tour in Japan and
In China with “New Dynamic” live video.

A new album is in the works, a special tour in Europe is also coming
in the beginning of the year with Insomnium.
Omnium Gatherum, one of the export powerhouses of Finnish metal, will go on tour to Japan and China next month, and the mood is being raised with a new video. The live video for the “New Dynamic” was shot in the band’s hometown, Kotka, at the Dark River Festival last year, and the clean live recording of the video is the best way to pay tribute to the band’s playing skills. The video was made by Coldstore Productions and directed by Jari Heino.
The band, who released their “Slasher” EP through Century Media last year, has taken a break from gigs for this summer’s festivals, focusing on working on the material for their next studio album. The upcoming tour in Japan and China is therefore also a special source of joy for the band, especially since the first gig in Tokyo was already sold out some time ago.
“Asia is calling again and OG is answering! There’s going to be full metal coverage in 13 cities, and it’s great to be back in the Far East again after a few years off,” the -[OG]- crew states.

The upcoming tour in Japan and China:
15.09.24 Tokyo – Shibuya Garret – SOLD OUT
16.09.24 Tokyo – Shibuya Garret
17.09.24 Osaka – Yogibo Holy Mountain

Omnium Gatherum already reported earlier about the joint European tour with Insomnium, scheduled for January 2025. On that tour, Insomnium will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their “Shadows of the Dying Sun” album, and Omnium Gatherum will also play a full-length special set for their “Beyond” album, which will also be re-released as a limited edition color vinyl through Lifeforce Records. January evenings are opened by Hinayana.

Eluveitie – Joliet, IL 03/11/2023 at The Forge
Eluveitie returned to the greater Chicagoland area playing The Forge in Joliet, IL. Although I consider myself a big fan of Eluveitie I missed their last few visits to Chicagoland due to prior engagements. Because of this, this was my first time seeing the band with their new lineup. I didn’t know what to expect, but I very much enjoyed their performance. Although Lead Vocalist Chriegel Glanzmann’s was absent due to a family emergency the band opted to perform, and perform they did. Fabienne Erni lead the band with powerful vocals that stole the show and delivered one hell of a performance for her own birthday show. She was assisted on vocals by the very talented Adrienne Cowan from Seven Spires and Jukka Pelkonen from Omnium Gatherum who equally split up the parts by taking turns on stage from song to song and then coming together and both singing on the band’s final song of the evening, “Inis Mona” Not to focus only the vocals though as the whole band performed amazingly and gave the packed venue a phenomenal experience that many will not forget anytime soon.
