Omnivortex & Solus live at Meara Klubi, Pori (Finland) 26.9.2026

Another Meara Kulubi event took place on September 26th in the Finnish city of Pori. This time, two talented bands took the stage: Omnivortex and Solus.

Solus represents an interesting and distinctive addition to the Finnish heavy music scene. Formed in 2020 in Rauma, this energetic band delivers a melodic dark/death metal sound, drawing inspiration from metalcore and djent as well. Their performance was unique; appearing as a trio, without a bassist, they still managed to instantly fire up the crowd and put on an impressive show.

Hailing from Helsinki’s underground death metal scene, Omnivortex is rapidly rising through the ranks of the music landscape. Blending elements ranging from thrash and technical death metal to dissonant black metal, Omnivortex creates music defined by frenetic, shifting rhythms that are utterly engaging. Alternating between clean melodies and raw, brutal sounds, they offer a comprehensive and varied repertoire. Their performance was explosive, combining technical prowess with the frontman’s witty banter with the audience.

Despite a few minor technical audio issues, the evening was a success.

Omnivortex Video Interview

Finnish technical/blackened death metallers Omnivortex present their music in a frenetically twisted and ever-changing way. Whether it be from clean melodic passages to raw and dissonant chugs with endless blasting and slapping bass, Omnivortex always have new ideas to offer to the listener. From thrash death metal to dissonant black metal, they deliver unforgettable soundscapes. The band has so far released two albums, “Diagrams of Consciousness” in 2020 and “Circulate” in 2023; the new single “Visitant” was released on May 15th and more songs will be released in the near future. Before their show at meara Klubi in Pori, we had the chance to meet frontman Severi Saarioja and bassist Mikael Reinikka and find out more about the band and their music.

Omnivortex & Vanguardian live at Mera Klubi, Pori (Finland) 24.5.2025

On May 24th, Meara Klubi delighted the audience in Pori with two stratospheric bands: Vanguardian and Omnivortex.

Vanguardian is an extreme metal band that ruthlessly combines the influences of all its members in its own style and gives the middle finger to art that is shabby, inauthentic and insensitive.  The band demonstrated in their performance professionalism, technique, energy and fun. No musical base or sampling during the live, only drums, bass, guitar and screams. The rhythmic part leaves the audience breathless, rare to find drummers and bassists of this level, especially in the underground scene.

Omnivortex is a technical/blackened death metal band that presents their music in a frenetically twisted and ever-changing way. Be it clean melodic passages or raw, dissonant chugs with explosive bass and endless slaps, the band always have new ideas to offer the listener. The band’s performance was a wave of pure energy, fun and headbanging. The work of the drummer is remarkable, as in addition to being the rhythmic base he is also one of the singers of the band.

If you have the chance to see these two bands live, don’t miss them, they are really worth it and will leave you speechless.

MonoMassive 7.9.2024, Pori (Finland)

After the success of the first edition, MonoMassive was held again at the Annis culture house in Pori. This year, the two stages were graced by Folkrim, Assemble The Chariots, Anima Hereticae, Nicole, Omnivortex and Wolfheart.
The sold-out festival, which was also open to under-18s, introduced the next spring edition of MonoMassive, which will take place at the same location on March 1st.
