Seven Spires share new video “Love’s Souvenir” from latest album ‘A Fortress Called Home’ out now

SEVEN SPIRES is excited to share their new single, “Love’s Souvenir,” taken from their recent album ‘A Fortress Called Home,’ out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

SEVEN SPIRES vocalist Adrienne Cowan comments on the new single and video:

“’Love’s Souvenir’ was born on one of the darkest days of the production of our fourth studio album ‘A Fortress Called Home.’ It’s a song about believing you must be extraordinary to be loved, and the aching marble museum that carves inside. It was a way to confront the shame of craving connection, and the long-standing fear of loss when there’s no energy left to perform. I always had the feeling ‘Love’s Souvenir’ needed a music video. Nearly ten months after the album’s release, we finally get to show it to the world: brocade-and-silk-clad agony filmed in a desecrated church in subzero temperatures. It’s beautiful and ugly, polished and raw as the album itself. Working with Chris Kells’ team again was cathartic and wonderfully arty as always. And, if it’s possible to say about something so painful, I’m incredibly happy with and proud of the final result 🤍”

SEVEN SPIRES is an American symphonic metal band. Since their inception in 2013 at Berklee College of Music, these best friends have forged their home in the darker corners of the melodic metal world. Known for their penchant for pushing genre limits, they draw influence from across the spectrum of metal and beyond, reaching ravenously into jazz, late Romantic-era orchestral music, and cinematic soundscapes.

To support the release of their fourth studio LP, ‘A Fortress Called Home,’ SEVEN SPIRES toured on three continents: first in Europe as direct support to Skálmöld with Atavistia as first support, then in North America directly supporting Kamelot with Ad Infinitum also featured on the bill. To end 2024, SEVEN SPIRES embarked on their first-ever headlining tour of Japan with Lords of the Trident.

In 2025, SEVEN SPIRES is slated to perform at Wacken Open Air and Rock in Rautheim in Germany, Leyendas del Rock in Spain, and Legions of Metal in the United States, before embarking in the fall on a run of UK dates with Sonata Arctica, quickly followed by a European tour with Ad Infinitum and Phantom Elite.

The band’s previous touring history includes North America with Eluveitie and Omnium Gatherum in 2023, Europe with Twilight Force and Silver Bullet in 2023, as well as North America with Dragonforce, Firewind, and Visions of Atlantis in 2022. They have also performed at prestigious metal festivals, such as 70000 Tons of Metal, Metaldays, ProgPower USA, and Mad With Power Fest, where they played a sold-out, nearly two-hour headline show in 2023.

Eluveitie – Joliet, IL 03/11/2023 at The Forge

Eluveitie returned to the greater Chicagoland area playing The Forge in Joliet, IL. Although I consider myself a big fan of Eluveitie I missed their last few visits to Chicagoland due to prior engagements. Because of this, this was my first time seeing the band with their new lineup. I didn’t know what to expect, but I very much enjoyed their performance. Although Lead Vocalist Chriegel Glanzmann’s was absent due to a family emergency the band opted to perform, and perform they did. Fabienne Erni lead the band with powerful vocals that stole the show and delivered one hell of a performance for her own birthday show. She was assisted on vocals by the very talented Adrienne Cowan from Seven Spires and Jukka Pelkonen from Omnium Gatherum who equally split up the parts by taking turns on stage from song to song and then coming together and both singing on the band’s final song of the evening, “Inis Mona” Not to focus only the vocals though as the whole band performed amazingly and gave the packed venue a phenomenal experience that many will not forget anytime soon.
