Wednesday 13’s Mid Death Crisis album and the No Apologies single with Faster Pussycat’s Taime Downe will set the rhythm for the weekend party

Wednesday 13 is using this weekend to celebrate their new album “Mid Life Crisis”. At the same time, the single, featuring Taime Downe from Faster Pussycat, “No Apologies” has been released.

“This is the rockiest song I’ve written in years. I wanted to go back to my roots and those roots are in 80s glam rock. The number one name on that list was Faster Pussycat, so it was completely logical to ask Taime Downe to join me on this track. It was an honor to have one of my rock’n’roll idols in the studio with me. We put together a suitably outrageous middle finger for ourselves, and the result is No Apologies,” Wednesday 13 says.

Wednesday 13 describes the upcoming album as fun, funky and something that you can listen to and leave your brain in a state of shock and rock with rage. The album was produced by Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death, Enuff Z’Nuff, Antiproduct) and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Prong, DevilDriver). It promises to be quite a blast, spiced up with elements of 1980s sleaze metal. The album also features Taime Downe from Faster Pussycat.

“Growing up in the 80s, I remember the satanic panic and parents’ concern about what their kids were listening to. My mother would constantly check my cassettes and make sure I wasn’t possessed by the devil. Most of the music I listened to never had any of those themes, but they were just accused of it, so I let myself make a song that would horrify my mother. I wanted the lyrics to be open and leave no doubt about what they were about. This song was made in a fun spirit, and we’re not going to burn down churches in the future,” Wednesday 13 says.

The band began a tour of the United States in March, and they will also be hitting Europe in the summer, playing selected festivals and touring the UK.

Wednesday 13‘s new album ‘Mid Death Crisis’ will be released on April 25th via Napalm Records, and today we get the first taste of what’s to come. The new single ‘When the Devil Commands’ is accompanied by a music video, which you can watch here.

Wednesday 13 describes the upcoming album as fun, funky and something that will make you leave your brain in the closet and rock out with rage. The album was produced by Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death, Enuff Z’Nuff, Antiproduct) and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Prong, DevilDriver). It promises to be quite a blast, seasoned with elements of 1980s sleaze metal. The album also features Taime Downe, known from Faster Pussycat.

“Growing up in the 80s, I remember the satanic panic and the parents’ concern about what their kids were listening to. My mom would constantly check my tapes and make sure I wasn’t possessed by the devil. Most of the music I listened to never had any of those themes, but was just accused of it, so I let myself make a song that would terrify my mom. I wanted the lyrics to be open and leave no doubt about what they were talking about. This song is made in a fun spirit, and we’re not going to burn down churches in the future,” Wednesday 13 says.
