Crossbone Skully joined forces with Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx for new single High On You. The song, which forms the basis of the upcoming debut album, is about romantic obsession, and the chorus of the song, which becomes a true anthem, sticks to the listener’s eardrums for the rest of the day. The song will also be accompanied by a music video.
“High On You gives a taste of young, pure love. The kind of love that gets you hooked. Love is a drug that works forever,” says Henriksen.
Tommy Henriksen, the frontman of Crossbone Skully, known from Hollywood Vampires and Alice Cooper’s band, has created a strong visual side for the band and a story centered on the parallel reality character, Crossbone Skully. Evil World Machine is a concept album that echoes the same type of dystopian visions as David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and Diamond Dogs records.
The story will be expanded with a graphic novel and an animated film to be released next year. Thing #1 animation is also voiced by Nikki Sixx, who is also featured on the single released today.
“Crossbone Skully is currently doing something completely unique visually – ass-kicking riffs and great songwriting skills come in the same package. I’m excited for them and can’t wait for everyone to experience this whole thing,” enthuses Nikki Sixx.
Tommy Henriksen has had a long career in music. In addition to the previously mentioned band projects, he has worked as a producer, composer and mixer for several different artists. He has collaborated with, among others, Lady Gaga, Meat Loaf, Lou Reed, Halestorm and Daughtry.
