Doom metal band Frayle to release new album in October – Listen to chilling Lana Del Rey cover

American doom metal band Frayle is back! The band has announced that they will release their third full-length album, Heretics & Lullabies, on October 10th via Napalm Records. The album promises to once again feature dark, haunting tones and eerie atmospheres, combined with heavy riffs and enchanting vocals.

Following their latest single Walking Wounded, which garnered widespread acclaim, the band continues to delight their fans with a re-arranged version of Lana Del Rey’s hit Summertime Sadness. The band’s treatment of the hit song transforms it into an ethereal and shadowy farewell to summer.

“We’ve always been interested in melancholic songwriting, regardless of genre. Summertime Sadness felt right and ours. Our producer added a little break before the first chorus, during which we only hear breathing – at that moment we knew this was something special,” the band commented.

Frayle combines occult-influenced doom metal, blackgaze and Gwyn Strang’s hypnotic vocal style into a distinctive soundscape, complemented by Sean Bilovecky’s crushing guitar work. With Heretics & Lullabies, the band continues their ascent towards the top of their genre.
