Gothic metal supergroup For My Pain is getting closer to the release of their long-awaited album Buried Blue, which is due out on January 9th. Now, the band’s second full-length album received its final single release in the form of Windows Are Weeping, which was released with a lyric video.
The Windows Are Weeping single features a very special guest. English multi-instrumentalist Troy Donockley, known from Nightwish, plays all the wind instruments on the song. It features flutes and the Irish bagpipes “uileann pipes”.
“When I’m asked to guest on projects outside of my own, I want to hear authenticity. Honest music without commercial desperation attracts me. For My Pain… has exactly the kind of uncompromisingness that made the decision to collaborate easy. This song met all my criteria, and the end result is amazing. It has just the kind of massive atmosphere and classic rock power that hits you right away,” Donockley enthuses.
The singles Recoil Into Darkness, WitchBitch Elite and Time Will Heal Our Wounds have been released in advance from the Buried Blue album. In between, there was also a special interlude single – the band’s version of Tehosekoittim’s legendary hit Hetken Tie On Kevyt.

For My Pain’s debut album Fallen was released worldwide in 2003 by Spinefarm Records/Universal Music and received a very positive reception both in Finland and internationally. The album quickly became a classic of its genre, with the most famous songs being Autumn Harmony, Dancer in the Dark and Rapture of Lust. A year later, a 3-song EP Killing Romance was released, which was the last release of the then line-up before the project fell into the shadows of the past in 2005. The band members were previously known from groups such as Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Nightwish, Embraze, Kalmah, Charon and Reflexion.
