“Sometimes life feels like a nightmare. I think Apnea describes the struggle against negative feelings. The album is like chasing away a poisonous snake, created by sleep paralysis, that has wrapped itself in a knot. Music can be a healing antidote to everything painful. At least our band feels like they’ve gained strength and a new direction from the album’s creation. I hope this feeling resonates with others as well,” describes Antti Hyyrynen.

Stam1na is one of Finland’s most famous metal bands and has also gained fame abroad. The band has won seven Emma Awards, reached number one on the charts eight times, received numerous gold and platinum awards, and has sold out venues across Finland, also headlining numerous festivals. Stam1na will begin their “Käärmeennyrkki 2026” tour in support of their new album on March 6, 2026.
