Floor Jansen releases her new single, “Everything Is Moving On”. It is the third single from her upcoming studio album, Hytress—set for release on January 15th—following the previously released tracks “Run” and “Bring Me Silence” (the latter of which also features a music video).
Built upon a simple concept, “Everything Is Moving On” conveys a powerful message: life is happening right now. The song explores themes of time, change, and the choices we make as life unfolds around us. It serves as a reminder not to postpone important matters, but rather to live in the present, seize opportunities, and recognize when it is time to move forward.
The single, released via REVAMP Music and Warner Music, is accompanied by a music video.
“For me, this song is about being conscious of the life we are living right now. It’s so easy to tell ourselves that we’ll do something later, but life keeps moving forward. Enjoy life, seize the opportunities that matter to you, and make choices that feel right in terms of who you are and where you want to go. Sometimes, that also means letting go of things that no longer feel right,” says Floor, adding:
“These choices aren’t always easy. You can be grateful for everything that has brought you to where you are today, while still recognizing that something no longer aligns with who you are now or who you want to become. Every experience and every person leaves a mark on you. Moving forward doesn’t erase those marks—you carry them with you into whatever comes next.”
The upcoming Hytress album doesn’t look to the past merely for the sake of nostalgia; instead, it takes the weight of the past and transforms it into something sharper, heavier, and distinctly unique. The album’s release on January 15, 2027, will also kick off an extensive international tour, bringing Jansen and her full live band to clubs and festivals across Europe and South America.
