Finnish progressive death/post-metal band Ashes In The Fall to release debut EP in March – single version of ‘Dusk of Mankind’ out now

Finnish progressive death/post-metal metal band Ashes In The Fall will release their debut EP ‘Where Serenity Prevails‘ on 21 March 2025 via Inverse Records. The band was formed in 2019, and all members are between 17 and 18 years old. The band released the single version of ‘Dusk of Mankind’ today and it’s available on all major streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/ashesinthefall-dusk

The band comments:
” ‘Dusk of Mankind’ is a foretaste of our upcoming debut EP “Where Serenity Prevails”. The song combines acoustic sections and clean vocals with distorted sections and harsh vocals. Also worth mentioning are the polyphonic vocal harmonies and jazz influences. The song paints a picture of the Earth returning to its natural state after the destruction of mankind. Influences can be heard from Opeth and Alcest, among others. Highly recommended for listeners of progressive death metal and post-metal as well as fans of the above-mentioned bands. And for those who like a rough and authentic production, the song was recorded, mixed and mastered by the band. The full version of the song (with solos!) will be released on the EP.”

Biography:
Ashes In The Fall is a Finnish progressive death metal/post-metal band. During the band’s 6 years of existence it has gone through numerous changes in personnel, with the current roster consisting of:
Touko Kaihola – drums, percussion, backing vocals
Samuel Routama – lead vocals, samples
Anton Valros – bass, backing vocals
Simon Valros – guitars
Jennifer Evans – keyboards, samples, backing vocals, percussion

The band takes influences from many different sources, with our biggest influences probably being Opeth, Mastodon, Insomnium, Ulver, Neurosis, Alcest and Gojira. We also take influences from music outside the metal genre, such as jazz, folk, progressive rock and hardcore punk to name a few.

After laying dormant for a long time, Ashes In The Fall have finally started to pick up their pace, with the EP “Where Serenity Prevails” being scheduled for release in this spring on Inverse Records. The EP’s lead single Dusk of Mankind will be released to the public on January 30th 2025. With the release of this new material, Ashes In The Fall will also be playing even more live shows, with an upcoming highlight in the band’s career being a performance at Tuska on the KVLT stage in June 2025.

The third double-single attack from the forthcoming ‘Disgust’ album from Finnish deathgrind veterans Cannibal Accident is out now

Finnish Deathgrind band Cannibal Accident is set to release their fifth studio album ‘Disgust’ on February 28th 2025 via Inverse Records

The third double single ‘Viimene Fiitti / Toleraped’ is unleashed today. The music video is also done for the first track and it features Ulti-Make (Tukkanuotta & Skulmagot) on guest vocals. Video is available here: https://youtu.be/fXsUjYwPHIk

Vocalist Kurwa Doktor comments singles:

“Ulti-Make (Tukkanuotta, Skulmagot) was one of the guys we considered asking for a guest vocalist on this album. He wrote the lyrics, arranged and recorded them for us with our 100% trust that the result would be all diamonds. And so it is! Lyrically this basically tells about the hardships of writing lyrics, hah hah.

About Toleraped: “The overall theme in this song is the darker side of everlasting tolerance, unquestionable equalization and never being able to stand up: you will just get mentally assfucked by the opportunists and exploiters. By turning the other cheek you will just get it beaten as well.”

Guitarist Kolkka continues:
“Night was black, was no use holding back, when I wrote Toleraped. And in the chaotic mental and physical state of the morning after “the pen” wrote Viimeinen Fiitti by itself.”

Finnish Death Metal band Wretched Path returns with a violent first single from their upcoming second album

After the success of their debut album, “Heavy Lies The Crown”, Finnish Death Metal band Wretched Path took some time off to craft a masterpiece that’s faster, darker, and more intense than ever before. Now, just over two years later, they’re back with the first single from their upcoming second album!

Experience the raw power of “Release Of Violence”! This explosive track plunges you into a gripping atmosphere, with verses that evoke a sense of raw energy and intensity. Inspired by the chilling premise of movie The Purge, where chaos reigns for one night, the lyrics delve deep into the darkest corners of the human psyche.

Whether you interpret the song as a reflection of society’s hidden rage or as a journey into the mind’s most twisted thoughts, “Release Of Violence” leaves it up to you to decide. Let the haunting melodies and powerful lyrics take you on a ride through the shadows. Are you ready to face the darkness within?

Finnish thrash metal band Justice Theory releases new single My True Nemesis – The Never-Ending Struggle Against the Inner Enemy

Finnish thrash metal influenced melodic metal band Justice Theory’s new single My True Nemesis is a song about the struggle with your inner demons.

Listen to the song on music services (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal jne.): https://push.fm/fl/justicetheory-mytruenemesis

Check the lyric video: https://youtu.be/dsYSTiDqxPk

The singer-guitarist Valtteri Saharinen tells about the track:

MY TRUE NEMESIS is a song about battling your own inner enemy. The narrator’s opponent isn’t some external force, but rather this internal power that takes control of their mind and life. Feelings of anger, resentment, shame, and despair are constantly churning inside throughout life, and you’re forced to deal with them if you want to move forward. The chorus, “true nemesis,” is a metaphor for this internal force, an enemy you have to face over and over again, one you can never escape.

The song has this heavy, fatalistic vibe, where the enemy is seen as inevitable, just a natural part of life. The narrator’s lyrics dig deep into the conflict between self-hatred and the struggle to accept oneself. In the final chorus, the voices in their head scream, “No way out!” – summing up the feeling that this inner enemy is tied to their fate. It’s something they can’t outrun, only learn to live with.

Musically, the track is raw and intense, perfectly mirroring the darkness in the lyrics. It drags the listener deep into the pain of the mind but also opens a door to self-reflection and acceptance. My True Nemesis is a powerful take on the inner battle and how it’s an inseparable part of being human.

Justice Theory started as a thrash metal band in 2012. After that they have moved towards more melodic approach without forgetting their thrash metal past. Justice Theory has released around dozen singles and EPs.

Swedish hard rock band Blister Brigade released the second single Smokescreen from their forthcoming fourth album A Rioting New Breed

Swedish Hard Rock / Heavy Metal band Blister Brigade is set to release their fourth studio album ‘A Rioting New Breed’ on April 25th 2025 via Inverse Records. The second single ‘Smokescreen’ from the forthcoming album is out today and it’s available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/bb-smokescreen

The band comments:
“Full speed, no remorse. This track is representative to when Blister Brigade goes unhinged and full ”pedal to the metal”. The song has a Motörhead-inspired main riff, intense vocals and the double bassdrum is pounding like a freight train. The lyrics is basically about fake people with bad intentions that you are starting to see through.
The breakdown in the middle of the song where it dives down to half-tempo, almost brings a doom-feeling to it. That adds some very cool and dark dynamics to a fast and intense song. It´s also one of the shortest songs we´ve ever written.”

About The Bands – https://progmetalmania.com/en/Bands/

SCAR SYMMETRY – With legendary guitar wizard Per Nilsson as a driving force, the Swedish band perfectly blends mind-blowing riffs with virtuoso soloing, built up on mighty synth layers, complex yet groovy rhythms, and topped by a vigorous dual vocal attack. Fascinating Metal fans all over the world, they will play their first show in Munich after 12 years!

DISILLUSION – With their special blend of Progressive Death Metal, the German band takes their audience from the top of the world to the end of the sea. By creating dense, multi-layered soundscapes and versatile movements at the forefront of artistic concepts, they already released three rich, fully matured Metal masterpieces.

OBSIDIOUS – Named after black volcanic glass, the group’s moniker exudes something dark, of fiery origin, and metaphorically offers a nearly limitless platform for expression and advancement. Having caught the Extreme Metal scene by storm with their iconic debut in 2022, the international Tech Death powerhouse is set to blow the roof off at Prog Metal Mania 2025!

TURBULENCE – The Lebanese masters of musical story-telling even make a robot dream with their marvelous soundscapes and virtuosic playing, inviting their listeners on captivating, emotional journeys.

JOHN MACALUSO – Born in the US, now living in Italy, the legendary drummer has already played on over 200 albums (ARK, Michael Romeo, Powermad, Yngwie Malmsteen…) and countless tours. He will present a special show for fans of hot rhythms and cool stories with his terrific, versatile playing and some glimpses behind the scenes.

XAON – The French Symphonic Death Metal band spreads its wings on the hunt for nothing less than epicness. By melting the raw energy of Extreme Metal with the finesse and vehemence of a mighty orchestra, their music is absolutely mind-blowing, yet with an amazing sense for details – Brutal and beautiful at the same time.

VULKAN – The Swedish band with the eruptive name offers mesmerizing melodies to immerse yourself in, served on a layer of intriguing rhythms with a true sense for incredibly atmospheric soundscapes.

LOCH VOSTOK – By bringing together raw beauty with complexity and finesse, their music comes along brutal yet with a catchy grooviness, delivering fat choruses, shredalicious solos, and poisonous hooks.

POEM – There’s a certain beauty in melancholy, and the Greek quartet absolutely brings this to the top with its unique, intense compositions. The outstanding voice and expressive performance of singer George Prokopiou make each song a highly emotional experience.

F.K.Ü. – Since there’s a huge overlapping between the Horror and the Metal communities, it seems like a great idea to bring these two beasts together, and F.K.Ü. clearly pull out all the stops on this. Heavily inspired by Freddy Krueger & Co, these four Swedish guys will bring Metal and Mania to Munich.

AEONS – Hailing from the Isle of Man, the Progmetal powerhouse will come to Germany with three albums under their belt, taking their audience from the plains of the American West to ancient Greece, and even to the vast reaches of space with their mighty, musical tales.

SOULSPLITTER – Following their combined musical vision, the German arts collective melts various stylistic splitters into a soulful, new whole. Over the past years, they delved deeper into a specific aspect of their signature sound where heavy guitars and intricate rhythms meet classical piano in a prominent position.

IHLO – The band from Scotland blends modern Progressive Metal with electronic and pop influences to create a sound that is huge musically, emotionally crushing, and full of hooks. Their debut recently got a re-issue via Kscope, and with album No2 showing up on the horizon, they also might bring new music to Munich in May.

JESTER’S TEARS – Even though the name of this Munich-based band might be quickly associated with an album title by Marillion, it is rather the multi-layered symbol for their music, and was actually inspired by Venice and its famous carnival. The five musicians will open Prog Metal Mania with their powerful mix of wonderful playfulness and complex, yet accessible songs.

Everlore To Release New Album ‘Hope and Turmoil’ On March 1st

Finnish power metal band Everlore is set to release their second studio album ‘Hope and Turmoil’ on March 1st.

It’s difficult to pinpoint the actual starting point for Everlore as it slowly grew out of the “revived” jam sessions between old school mates Juuso, Petteri, and Lauri in the spring of 2013. The first demo was recorded in 2014 but released in 2015. The band released 6 singles between 2017 and 2020, and the self-titled debut album in 2020.
The road to the band’s second album ‘Hope and Turmoil’ has been a tough one due to changes in the line-up and other issues.
Drums for the new album were recorded at SN-Audio studios over one weekend in October 2021, and bass tracks followed soon. Like the bass tracks, the guitar tracks for the album were recorded at home, and were finally finished in the spring of 2022. The vocals were recorded after Arto Ala-Seppälä joined officially the band in 2023.
The recordings for album number 2 were finally done in the spring of 2024 as the final guest performances were recorded. Afer several iterations of mixes and mastering, small delays and big delays, the band have arrived at the eve of the album’s release. The album will come out on March 1st 2025 and the band will play a handful of shows to promote it.
