BIND TORTURE KILL Unleashes Their Most Ferocious Album Yet: ‘Sauvagerie’

The ferocious French trio BIND TORTURE KILL is proud to unveil a new music video illustrating the title track of their third full-length album ‘Sauvagerie’. This nine-track onslaught of raw aggression and visceral storytelling further cements the band’s position as a force in the world of extreme music.

The album is available now on CD, with LP, tape, and digital releases coming this fall via Breathe Plastic Records, Dahlia Noir Records, and The Hills Are Dead Records. It is also available for full and heavy streaming on Bandcamp.

BTK (Bind Torture Kill) is a chaotic hardcore trio from Lyon, France, formed in 2010. Consisting of a drummer, guitarist, and screamer, the band originally started with a bassist but transitioned into a trio in 2015 after several lineup changes. Known for their love of heavy, chaotic sound, BTK delivers intense performances with French lyrics often narrating the grim tales of serial killers and violent crimes.

In 2013, they self-released their debut EP, and in 2015, they followed up with their first album, Condamné. By 2018, their second album, Viscères, was released through WOOAAARGH! (Germany), Troffea (France/Switzerland), and Hell-J Industries (France). With Viscères, the band’s sound took on a heavier edge, using a guitar setup routed through three amps—two guitar amps and a bass amp enhanced with an octaver pedal to create a more massive, dense sound.

Over time, their style shifted from a blend of death and mathcore to a darker, chaotic hardcore infused with punk, crust, grind, and black metal influences.

In 2023, BTK recorded their third album, Sauvagerie, at Warmaudio in Décines, with mastering handled by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East, Boston. Maintaining the same guitar setup, but adding the HM2 pedal, the album marks a significant evolution in their sound. Sauvagerie is darker and more brutal, featuring a dirtier tone, faster tempos, and a relentless mix of aggressive breaks and crushing riffs, highlighting the band’s raw, savage energy.

Finnish old school death metal band Messiah Paratroops, formed in 1989, have released the first single ‘Painful Sleep’ from their forthcoming debut album

Vocalist Aku Oksala comments:
” “Painful Sleep” comes from our first official demo, Extreme Pain (1991), and represents the most classic form of Messiah Paratroops. It hails from the time our band was named the best Finnish death/thrash metal band that have never released an album. “Only good songs ended up on the album” – Finnish female fronted melodic death metal band Admire the Grim released their debut album ‘Resist’

Finnish melodic death metallers Admire the Grim released their debut album ‘Resist’ via Inverse Records on January 31st 2025. Listen to the album on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/admirethegrim-album

The band comments on the making of the album:

“The album was written in about two years. At some point we took a short break from touring and really took time for song writing and pre-production. Taking that time worked out really well and we are extremely happy with the results! We managed to unify our sound and take things a bit further musically. Even if the record is mostly about fast and aggressive playing, we do have an acoustic surprise on the record as well. The final mix by Saku Moilanen really took the songs to the next level and they sound exactly what we had hoped for.”

Guitarist Jani Loikkanen comments on the songwriting process:

“Before the album recordings I pretty much wrote songs and recorded demos for a full year with no break. Infinite amount of audiotracks still haunt me in my sleep. But after all that work, only good songs ended up on the album! It’s a privilege to be able to play guitar and write songs in this particular band.”

Vocalist Katri Snellman comments on the lyrics:

“The themes on this album are resistance and change. The lyrics consist of different viewpoints and situations related to the subject. Whether it’s about a political riot or a personal revolution in real life, a change in an individual’s life is guaranteed.”

BIOGRAPHY:

Rosetta Stone – Goths don’t fear the Reaper

One of the longest surviving of all the second wave goth bands, Rosetta Stone return with a sensational new single, trailing the release of their latest full length, Nothing Is Sacred, with a song that truly lives up to the album’s title.  Nothing is sacred, and that includes half-century old Blue Oyster Cult classic rockers.
The opening track on the album, “Don’t Fear The Reaper” , of course, requires no introduction.
Even if someone has avoided ever hearing the original, they need still to negotiate covers from as far afield as Apollo 440, Goo Goo Dolls, Heaven 17 and the unmatchable union of Lydia Lunch and Clint Ruin!
From the moment Rosetta Stone’s version kicks in, however, it’s clear that they have taken the song to a whole new level.  That familiar guitar pattern – described by frontman Porl King as “one of music’s greatest riffs of all time” – is utterly sublimated by the sonorous seductivity of his so-understated vocal, and the lyrics take on whole new determination, too.  And, if that’s not enough, King reveals something else about this new version.
“I think perhaps the most controversial aspect of this track was deciding not to include a cowbell.”
Rosetta Stone’s second album in less than a year, a lightning fast successor to 2024’s acclaimed Under The Weather, Nothing Is Sacred kicks off with audacity, then – and it doesn’t let up.
Rosetta Stone translate, too, the music of Soundgarden, Cream, Black Sabbath, The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac (a deliciously dark reinvention of “The Chain” – you will never describe Mac as an AOR band again!), all piling up alongside a pounding, near martial ride aboard Hawkwind’s “Silver Machine” – goths in space indeed!

Saxon releases music video for their 1066th song – European tour starts next week

British metal legends Saxon are celebrating their upcoming European tour by releasing a music video for their 1066th song. The song comes from last year’s ‘Hell, Fire And Damnation’ album, which was released by Silver Lining Music.

“This is a really British-themed song, which is actually about the destruction of the Saxons. Some time ago I wrote the song Saxons and Vikings with Amon Amarth, which was about the destruction of the Vikings in England, after which the Saxons rose to power. I wrote this song to be set 600-700 years later, when William the Conqueror overthrows the Saxons,” says Saxon singer Biffy Byford.

The band, who have spent a lot of time on tour since the album’s release, are not letting up, and are starting their Hell, Fire And Steel tour in Bremen, Germany on February 4th. In addition to songs from the new album, the tour will also feature the band’s classic album ‘Wheels Of Steel’ in its entirety. The tour will feature Girlschool as support and Grand Slam as special guest.

Der Schnellste, a Finnish rock band performing in German, released their first EP – Delve into the adventures of James Bond, the thrills of ski jumping and weather phenomena

Der Schnellste is a new Finnish rock group performing in German. The band’s lyrics deal with German phenomena and issues, sometimes in a humorous way.

The group was born from the common thoughts and fun of singer Affe Kleinblatt and guitarist Arno Pferd. Musically, the band is somewhere between rock and metal.

The band will release the Meereswetter EP on 30.1. The four songs of the EP tie together the wonderful soundscapes composed by Sami Haavisto.

The band’s first single “Geschütelt Nicht Gemischt” combines James Bond movies together. The song praises the German dubbing culture and the 125th anniversary of the American ornithologist from whom Ian Fleming got the inspiration for the name of the famous agent.

Title track from Jinjer’s upcoming album Duél – The powerful animated video delves into the song’s violent themes

One of the most exciting new metal bands of our time, Jinjer, will release their new album ‘Duél’ via Napalm Records on February 7th, and now metal fans can hear the title track of the upcoming album. The release was accompanied by an animated video, which you can watch here.

The band, who rose to world fame with their previous and widely praised album ‘Wallflowers’ (2021), will once again be seen at the biggest metal festivals next summer. The band will be traveling extensively around the world even before the festival season; their next gig will be in Dubai on the eve of the album’s release.

‘Duél’ also takes Jinjer in an even more aggressive direction. It can be said that this is the fiercest ensemble of Jinjer’s output to date. The band continues to collaborate with producer Max Morton on the album, who has been involved as a co-producer, mixer and masterer.

Jinjer bassist Eugene Abdukhanov is happy that the band still has a huge creative power, the result of which was crystallized in the upcoming album.

“First of all, it’s hard to believe that we will soon release our fifth full-length album! We are very proud that the band’s creativity and inspiration are still strong, and it is precisely challenging ourselves with each record that keeps Jinjer moving. The songwriting process for the upcoming album was the longest we have ever had, it took almost two years,” says bassist Eugene Abdukhanov, referring to the band’s frantic touring pace, where every free minute was used to work on the new album.

Finnish progressive death/post-metal band Ashes In The Fall to release debut EP in March – single version of ‘Dusk of Mankind’ out now

Finnish progressive death/post-metal metal band Ashes In The Fall will release their debut EP ‘Where Serenity Prevails‘ on 21 March 2025 via Inverse Records. The band was formed in 2019, and all members are between 17 and 18 years old. The band released the single version of ‘Dusk of Mankind’ today and it’s available on all major streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/ashesinthefall-dusk

The band comments:
” ‘Dusk of Mankind’ is a foretaste of our upcoming debut EP “Where Serenity Prevails”. The song combines acoustic sections and clean vocals with distorted sections and harsh vocals. Also worth mentioning are the polyphonic vocal harmonies and jazz influences. The song paints a picture of the Earth returning to its natural state after the destruction of mankind. Influences can be heard from Opeth and Alcest, among others. Highly recommended for listeners of progressive death metal and post-metal as well as fans of the above-mentioned bands. And for those who like a rough and authentic production, the song was recorded, mixed and mastered by the band. The full version of the song (with solos!) will be released on the EP.”

Biography:
Ashes In The Fall is a Finnish progressive death metal/post-metal band. During the band’s 6 years of existence it has gone through numerous changes in personnel, with the current roster consisting of:
Touko Kaihola – drums, percussion, backing vocals
Samuel Routama – lead vocals, samples
Anton Valros – bass, backing vocals
Simon Valros – guitars
Jennifer Evans – keyboards, samples, backing vocals, percussion

The band takes influences from many different sources, with our biggest influences probably being Opeth, Mastodon, Insomnium, Ulver, Neurosis, Alcest and Gojira. We also take influences from music outside the metal genre, such as jazz, folk, progressive rock and hardcore punk to name a few.

After laying dormant for a long time, Ashes In The Fall have finally started to pick up their pace, with the EP “Where Serenity Prevails” being scheduled for release in this spring on Inverse Records. The EP’s lead single Dusk of Mankind will be released to the public on January 30th 2025. With the release of this new material, Ashes In The Fall will also be playing even more live shows, with an upcoming highlight in the band’s career being a performance at Tuska on the KVLT stage in June 2025.

The third double-single attack from the forthcoming ‘Disgust’ album from Finnish deathgrind veterans Cannibal Accident is out now

Finnish Deathgrind band Cannibal Accident is set to release their fifth studio album ‘Disgust’ on February 28th 2025 via Inverse Records

The third double single ‘Viimene Fiitti / Toleraped’ is unleashed today. The music video is also done for the first track and it features Ulti-Make (Tukkanuotta & Skulmagot) on guest vocals. Video is available here: https://youtu.be/fXsUjYwPHIk

Vocalist Kurwa Doktor comments singles:

“Ulti-Make (Tukkanuotta, Skulmagot) was one of the guys we considered asking for a guest vocalist on this album. He wrote the lyrics, arranged and recorded them for us with our 100% trust that the result would be all diamonds. And so it is! Lyrically this basically tells about the hardships of writing lyrics, hah hah.

About Toleraped: “The overall theme in this song is the darker side of everlasting tolerance, unquestionable equalization and never being able to stand up: you will just get mentally assfucked by the opportunists and exploiters. By turning the other cheek you will just get it beaten as well.”

Guitarist Kolkka continues:
“Night was black, was no use holding back, when I wrote Toleraped. And in the chaotic mental and physical state of the morning after “the pen” wrote Viimeinen Fiitti by itself.”
