“Where did I go wrong?” – Hungarian Heartkiller released the third single from their upcoming debut album

Hungarian metal band Heartkiller is set to release their debut album ‘Üdv A Világomban (Welcome To My World)’ on August 15th 2025 via Finnish Inverse Records.

The third single ‘Haldokló belső, halott szív (Pengékkel ágyba hív)’ is released today and it’s available on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/heartkiller-haldoklo

“Hi Guys!

Here’s our next single “Haldokló belső, halott szív (Pengékkel ágyba hívni)” from our debut album (Üdv a világomban), which will be released in the fall. The song is about a sad chapter in my life. Nearly eight years ago, after a very serious break-up and the difficult and struggling year that followed, I began to search for new love and a new relationship. Of course I wanted love and care, but I also felt that part of my soul had died before. It wasn’t easy, but I knew that somehow it all made me stronger. Not long afterwards I met a girl who completely enchanted me, but it was very difficult to believe and trust her honestly and without doubt. After successfully overcoming myself and my doubts, I fell in love. Unfortunately, we broke up after a short time and I was again alone in the dark, wondering once more, “Where did I go wrong?”

The band commented on the new album: “It is the result of two years of work, and we are very excited to show the world how much Malvada has grown. We believe it is the best work of our lives and everyone will like it, as it shows our real essence. You will have a real experience”.

About the new single, they added: “It is a song that reflects our reality, being in music means that sometimes we have to be away from people we love. It is a song we made for them. And it is very emotional for us”.

The rising star of the Brazilian rock scene has a name: Malvada, and they are ready to take over the world!

Malvada was initially formed in March 2020, during the beginning of the pandemic. With a rock n’ roll style full of personality, the band quickly attracted attention as one of the most promising acts in the Brazilian rock scene.

Shortly afterwards, in May of the same year, it was time to release the second single “Cada Escolha uma Renúncia”, which preceded the launch of the band’s debut album, “A Noite Vai Ferver”.

The band had the privilege of participating in huge festivals, such as Rock in Rio, Best of Blues and Rock, Angra Fest and Chama Rock, sharing the stage with renowned national and international rock names, like Pitty, Ira!, Angra, Viper, Edu Falaschi, Matanza, Golpe de Estado, Extreme and Tom Morello.

In November 2023, Malvada, composed of Indira Castillo, Bruna Tsuruda, Rafaela Reoli and Juliana Salgado surprised with a big announcement: the band has become the newest signee of the prestigious Italian label Frontiers Records, which has renowned bands in its catalog such as Mr. Big, Asia, Whitesnake, Jeff Scott Soto, among others, promising to take them to a new level, with opportunities to expand their reach and conquer the global market.

The new album, produced by the Brazilian Grammy awarded producer Giu Daga, promises a powerful and exciting musical experience and will be the band’s first work featuring tracks in English/Portuguese, aiming to conquer a global audience.

Ginger Evil unveil new video “Better Get In Line” from debut album “The Way It Burns”

Finnish female-fronted rock sensations Ginger Evil are pleased to unveil their new official lyric video “Better Get In Line”, taken from their debut album, “The Way It Burns”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

Buy/Stream “The Way It Burns” HERE

The band described the themes of the new track:
“Better Get In Line” tells everything essential that is wrong in the world and what is wrong with people. We are now witnessing democratic countries taking their first steps towards dictatorships, led by multimillionaires who are blinded by their own greed and needs. People who care about nothing but themselves and their own delusional reality. Can’t we prevent this? Everyone needs to make personal choices to ensure that such things do not thrive in any country. Small actions have a big impact when the group is large enough. Do we want to gamble with our future?”

Ginger Evil began as Moonshine Inc. in 2005, in a rehearsal room in Helsinki, Finland. After a couple of years of rehearsal and composing, a fruitless search for a singer meant the songs were put on ice.

Meanwhile, guitarist Tomi Julkunen and bassist Veli Palevaara continued gigging in Finland with The Milestones, including arena shows with Deep Purple and Whitesnake. In the aftermath of their fifth album, those Moonshine Inc. songs from a decade back emerged from hibernation, so the search began again for a vocalist.

The powerful voice of Ella Tepponen was known to Tomi and Veli from many theatre and music projects, and drummer Toni Mustonen was already familiar to everyone. Jamming together found a shared musical passion, and a group creative process soon flourished. Ginger Evil was born.

“From Foo Fighters to Fleetwood Mac”, is how the band hears their music, with singer Ella bringing a whole new kind of twist to their rock expression. Once the band got together and songs were taking shape, on board jumped music producer and film director Richard Stanley, known for his work with The Who and John Lennon, heard demos of Ginger Evil and was inspired to co-write lyrics.

In 2022 Ginger Evil signed a deal with Frontiers Music Srl. (Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, TOTO, Whitesnake, Skunk Anansie). Debut album “The Way It Burns” was released on February 14, 2025. Organic and fresh sounding album was something that rock fans had been waiting for since the 90’s; something familiar, something new, something that got their asses shaking once more!

“The Way It Burns” Tracklist:

1.    Rainmaker
2.    Dead On Arrival
3.    Shame Old
4.    Flames
5.    Hands Move To Midnight
6.    Arrowhead
7.    Better Get In Line
8.    Black Waves
9.    Whispers
10.    Not Your Fool
11.    Last Frontier
12.    Wake Me

Taiwanese metal giant Chthonic releases their single “Endless Aeons” with a heavy video – The band returns in full force after Freddy Lim’s parliamentary years

Chthonic, who have been huge in their home country of Taiwan and have been seen in Europe at Wacken and Download Festival, as well as in the US at Ozzfest, continue to shake up the metal scene with their new single “Endless Aeons” and a very influential video. The characters in the video are victims of the 1947 228 Uprising and massacre, who are caught in a hellish cycle of reincarnation, but fall through a time continuum tunnel into Chthonic’s concert, which symbolizes the interruption of rebirth.

At the same time, “Endless Aeons” ends the band’s long silence, during which the band’s vocalist and primus motor Freddy Lim focused on his political career in the Taiwanese parliament. Although the band has released new music since 2016, it has rarely performed abroad. In 2019, the band performed to 50,000 listeners in front of the Taiwanese presidential palace.

They say rock can change the world, and Freddy Lim made it a reality during his two terms in parliament, pushing for reforms. He promoted legislation that made Taiwan the first country in Asia to adopt marriage equality, and pushed for better protection of indigenous rights. He also supported budgets that provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine. He pushed for transitional justice, demanding that the government open secret documents from the authoritarian era so that truth and justice could be realized in society.

In 2023, these declassified archives unexpectedly revealed the tragic and previously unknown history of Freddy Lim’s family. Combining history and mythology, it seemed no coincidence that Chthonic’s music had previously told the sad but courageous stories of Freddy Lim’s grandparents. Freddy was deeply shocked to learn of this. In a whirlwind of emotions, he decided to end his eight-year parliamentary career and announced that he would not run again. He paused to consider the direction of his life and where his music might take him.

The Taiwanese title of the song “Endless Aeons” is 百萬遍 Pah-bān-piàn, a Buddhist term referring to the collective recitation of sutras to break karma.

“In the past, our music was about Taiwan’s constant disasters and rebirths. When I learned that someone in my own family was a victim of such a tragedy, it became personal. When will these disasters end? If we could start our lives over, would it be possible to live without regrets? This song is a question and an answer,” says Freddy Lim.

Jesse Liu, who composed the song, continues:

“The song sounds complicated, but it’s ultimately simple. It answers a complex question with simple words – that’s how it was meant to be.”

The band’s vocalist Doris interprets the song in a Taiwanese enka style, which was also a challenge for her.

“I’ve been practicing for a few years and I gave it my all, but to be honest, I was pretty nervous during the recordings.”

Chthonic, who has won several accolades, including a Taiwanese Grammy and Golden Melody Award, will release the MEGAPORTAL 2425 live EP in May.

Adamantra releases new single from their debut album sessions – The trilogy of KingArthur’s adventures begins

Adamantra, who released their third album in the fall, has found some previously unreleased material from the band’s early days in their vaults. The lively power metal song Shining Time was recorded during the band’s debut album Revival sessions in 2007–2008. However, the bonus track intended for the Japanese market or as a B-side to a single never made it to any release. The band decided to finally release the song with a lyric video based on gig and other footage from the band’s early years.

Bass player Jukka Hoffrén recalls the song’s history and journey:
“Shining Time is the first song I wrote for Adamantra sometime in the late 90’s and with this song I started to form the idea of a new band of my own. The song was performed at a few gigs and was intended to be used as a Japanese bonus track or as a B-side of a single, but neither of those things came to fruition, so it remained dormant for years somewhere in the depths of my hard drives. It’s great that the song is finally being released. This is where it all started.”

Listen to the single on music services (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal etc.): https://push.fm/fl/adamantra-shiningtime

The song begins a trilogy about the adventures of King Arthur, and the second part will be released later this spring.

Prepare for the rise of the wave – Underwater Father has released their debut EP

2024 formed Finnish Underwater Father has released their debut EP “Without Waves” today on April 29th 2025 along with their third music video “My Name is Your Name”. The title reflects the idea that everything in life moves in waves — without them, only emptiness remains.

Listen to the EP on music services (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer jne.): https://push.fm/fl/underwaterfather-withoutwaves

“Without Waves” blends modern and raw expression, combining melody with black and death metal influences. Heavy riffs and melodic parts are intertwined, creating a dark and captivating soundscape. The lyrics explore themes of birth, death, karma, and the reasons why we live our lives the way we do — and the paths those reasons lead us down. Although the subjects are deep and philosophical, there’s also a touch of dark humor that gives the songs a distinct edge.

The drums were recorded by Saku Moilanen at Deep Noise Studios, while the band recorded the other instruments and vocals themselves. Saku also handled the mixing and mastering of the EP, ensuring its relentlessly deep sound.

The EP’s cover art is based on an original artwork by Jouko Alapartanen, visually capturing the theme of the record.

Formed in the summer of 2024, Underwater Father was born from the vision of Samu Haatainen (guitars, vocals), who sought to create something darker and more stripped-down compared to their other band, Of Spite. Sharing most of its members with Of Spite, the lineup consists of Antti Lampinen (bass), Jan Lindberg (guitars, backing vocals), and Joonas Nieminen (drums) — a tight-knit unit with a shared passion for pushing metal’s boundaries.
Musically, Underwater Father weaves together the ferocity of black and death metal with the emotional depth of melodic metal. Drawing influences from bands like Mgła, Horna, Uada, Cradle of Filth on the extreme side and Sentenced, Bloodpit, and Somehow Jo! etc. On the melodic spectrum, the band creates music that is both crushing and atmospheric. Lyrically, their songs explore themes of birth, death, karma, and the search for meaning in life’s journey—both the light and the darkness that shape our fate.

Heavy Rock Powerhouse DRAB Inks Global Deal with Wormholedeath

Wormholedeath Records is thrilled to announce the signing of DRAB, the heavy rock juggernaut whose self-titled debut album will erupt worldwide on June 6th. Hailed as a visceral fusion of grunge-era darkness, thunderous riffs, and dystopian intensity, DRAB’s music is a time-traveling beast—raw, relentless, redefining modern rock’s boundaries.

A Statement from DRAB:
“We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Wormholedeath Records in the international release of our self-titled debut album!.”

DRAB’s origin is as gritty as their sound. In 2020, the band germinated in a musty New Orleans storage locker as the world retreated into isolation. What began as a cathartic escape from pandemic-era despair evolved into a sonic exorcism, recorded in an olive-drab Masonic Temple-turned-studio in Covington, LA, with producer Jack Miele (The Meters, Galactic). The result? A self-titled debut that channeled the paranoia and claustrophobia of the times into a blistering manifesto.

Since their debut, DRAB has dominated the New Orleans metal underground, earning accolades like Rock-N-Review’s #1 Album of 2022 and sharing stages with icons like Soulfly, Pallbearer, and YOB. Their 2024 single “Tyrannic”—produced by Grammy-winner Adrian Bushby (Muse, Foo Fighters)—marked a darker, sharper evolution, blending surrealist visuals with labyrinthine riffs that caught fire across streaming platforms.

DRAB’s music is a molten collision of decades: the swagger of 1970s hard rock, the rebellion of 1980s metal, and the brooding angst of 1990s grunge. Tracks like “Afterburner” (available now on Bandcamp) showcase their signature blend of haunting atmospherics and bone-crushing grooves. Whether it’s a name that evokes the mundane and dreary, or the dregs of 16th-century gutters and brothels, Drab’s music is anything but what the name might imply. It’s a steel blade that is only getting sharper with time.

DRAB’s Current Lineup:
Steve Mignano – Guitar/Vocals
Casey Freitas – Bass
Aaron Levy – Drums
