Monolord – Neverending

Swedish Psych sludge metal trio Monolord conjures heaviness and darkness to create a mass riff hypnosis on the highly anticipated album “Neverending”.
“Iodine” begins this new chapter with gloomy bass lines and massive sharp guitar riffs channeling glorious 70’s heavy rock vibes further emphasized by the distinctive vocal performance.
“You Bastard” hits you in the face with a colossal sludgy rhythmic march courtesy of potent drums and extra gritty riffage and the consequent propulsive grooves later will reveal a captivating psychedelic essence
“Inside A Collider” diligently delivers monochromatic rhythmic patterns with a remarkable taste for classic doom so the atmosphere inevitably becomes quite lugubrious highlighting the bewitching mournful guitar melodies.
“Oozing Wound” marks a memorable trippy momentum focusing on gripping fuzzed out guitars effortlessly shifting from loud riffs to hypnotizing leads flourishing through a hazy psychedelic atmospheric ensemble.
The final track “It’s Neverending” showcases an enigmatic composition as arcane blackened roots generate dominant crushing rhythmic blasts amplified by menacing growls courtesy of former Entombed bassist Jörgen Sandström yet the charismatic guitars can easily spellbind you with cathartic melodic progressions.
With the release of “Neverending” Monolord embarks on an exciting cosmic journey to the unknown masterfully blending delightful psychedelia and raw energy.
