Finland’s biggest metal DJ duo Stereo Terror kicks off the summer with a solid single Murder On The Dancefloor

Stereo Terror, who shone in the final of Estonia Eurovision Song Contest 2025 earlier this spring, is releasing a new single that shows no mercy in any direction. The industrial-flavored dance song Murder On The Dancefloor, which moves forward like a steamroller, will also soon be heard at the DJ duo’s gigs.

“After the Estonian Song Contest, we wanted to release new music for the summer that was a little more raucous. At the same time, Murder On The Dancefloor is a small tribute to our biggest influence, Rob Zombie,” says Saku Solin.

Formed by Saku Solin (Turmion Kätilöt) and Henry Uhlgren, Stereo Terror is a musical party space whose doors are open to all nice people and ideas, and so far Stereo Terror has explored its musical paths with, among others, Noora Louhimo and Seksikäs-Suklaa.

On the production and song side, Stereo Terror has done some great things with, among others, musician-producer Lauri Hämäläinen, who also penned Stereo Terror’s Estonian Eurovision entry, Prty Till The End Of The World. The now-released song was also created in collaboration with Lauri Hämäläinen.

“We put our heads together and master Lauri Hämäläinen was able to conjure up a song for us that is perfect for any celebration,” Saku adds.

“And even for christenings?”, Henry points out.

“Well, especially for that, it’s worth starting to listen to the right music early,” Saku grins.

Sparzanza released a new single Bloodborne

Sparzanza is approaching the release of their new album From Dust To Darkness. The album, which will be released later this year, will be published by Despotz Records. Sparzanza have released a new single from their upcoming album, Bloodborn, which represents the band’s core expertise – heavy riffs, dark melodies and thought-provoking lyrics.

“Bloodborne delves into themes such as darkness, fate and the struggle for existence. This song captures the core of Sparzanza’s unique sound. The lyrics of the song are full of strong imagery and emotional depth, inviting the listener to explore the darker recesses of the human psyche,” the band says.

The upcoming album From Dust To Darkness is a significant milestone in the long-time band’s career. It is their first full-length album since Announcing The End, released in 2017. The pandemic gave the band a long-awaited break, which the band said was able to stretch out a bit.

“Just as our tour was over, the pandemic hit the world. One might think that a forced vacation would awaken the band’s creativity, but we have been working on this band together for two decades and needed a break. The break may have been a little longer, but creativity is not a given and it took time for all of our members to get it back. We would like to thank our fans for their patience, because we know how long the wait has been. However, we have needed this pace of work in order to be able to offer you the absolute best music we can ever create,” the band sends their greetings to their fans.

Sparzanza is:
Calle Johannesson – Guitar
Anders Åberg – Drums
Johan Carlsson – Bass
Fredrik Weileby – Vocals
Magnus Eronen – Guitar

Italian Alt/Progressive Metal Band 81db Released New Album “Nostos”

81db‘s new album, titled “Nostos”, was released on June 6th. It is the fourth full-length album by the alt/progressive metal band from Florence, 12 years after their last work (A Blind Man’s Dream, 2013) and with a new vocalist, Luca Giannoni. Two singles had already been released to launch Nostos in 2024, “The Imposter” and “Hybris”, and a third one last May, “Jump to Hyperspace”.

“Nostos” is a Greek word meaning “homecoming”, and for 81db it truly is a return home… A coming back after a long time, to their origins, but with a sense of unpredictability and restlessness, and with an eye towards the future ahead! Nostos marks 81db’s return, not just to the stage, but to the core of what 81db has always been: bold, emotional, and uncompromisingly original. Romantic melodies from the Mediterranean, then the beast of harder Metal unleashed, echoing into poetry. That contrast, that journey, is exactly what Nostos is about.

Nostos” is available on all digital streaming platforms (in particular it can be listened to on Spotify at the following link: https://open.spotify.com/album/0YBJefZvHZh9Ap4ALO4P3u?si=z3D7Mk4YSVqcKmDqWQgY-Q), and in physical format to be ordered on the band’s official Bandcamp website: https://81db.bandcamp.com/album/nostos

Awake Again released new single Shitwreck

Awake Again, the rising star of alternative metal, released a brand new song called “shitwreck”.

The song released by Awake Again depicts a personal shitstorm, inspired by a maritime theme. The new song features the madness familiar from System Of a Down, which adds even more fuel to Awake Again’s explosive vibe. The song was released with a lyric video.

“The first version of the song came about when I decided to try to finish the song in two hours and see what came out of it. Not much of it was saved for the final version, but the energy and atmosphere have been there from the beginning,” says the band’s vocalist Matti Österman, and continues:

“I had once written down the word ‘shitwreck’ because, in all its stupidity, I thought it was a fascinating wordplay that could describe a personal shipwreck.”

“I remember when we were thinking about the lyrics of the song together. We decided to go all out for the maritime theme, all the pieces fell into place and all the different parts of the song naturally tied together,” recalls bassist Ville Loukola.

The song was composed, written and produced entirely within the band, with vocalist Österman acting as producer. The song was mixed and mastered by Rami Nykänen, who has become one of the number one mixers in the Finnish metal scene.

Awake Again is:
Matti Österman – Vocals
Ville Loukola – Bass
Petteri Horn – Drums
Maron Lahdenperä – Guitar

BLOODRIDE Presents Dystopian Thrash Anthem “Erase and Replace” from Upcoming Album Deafening

Finnish thrash metal juggernauts BLOODRIDE present the adrenaline-charged music video for their latest single, “Erase and Replace” — a blazing taste of what’s to come on their upcoming full-length Deafening, set for release on 25 July 2025 via Wormholedeath.

Erase and Replace” rips through the illusion of modern progress with razor-sharp riffs, venomous vocals, and dystopian fury. It’s a no-holds-barred assault on digital mind control, conformity, and the slow erasure of humanity in the face of soulless automation. Fusing insane speed and aggression with groove-laden mid-tempos and razor-edged melodies, the track is both a sonic onslaught and a warning cry from the digital void.

The video — edited by Tomi Niemelä, with footage provided by Thrashing Madness — captures Bloodride’s raw live energy, transporting the viewer straight to the heart of their onstage chaos.

With Deafening, Bloodride continues their relentless mission to deliver unapologetic, old-school-infused thrash with a cutting-edge edge, and “Erase and Replace” sets the tone with unrelenting power.

Eternal Idol share new lyric video “The Enemy Is Me” from upcoming album “Behind A Vision” out July 11th

Italian metallers Eternal Idol shared their new single and accompanying lyric video, “The Enemy Is Me”, taken from the upcoming studio album “Behind A Vision”, scheduled for release on July 11th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

Pre-Order “Behind A Vision”
HERE

Guitarist Nick Savio commented on the new single: “This song represents our melodic modern rock side, where electronic elements and bombastic rhythm sessions make the perfect wall of sounds for the vocals duo. This song is our perfect radio hit, with fine vocal melodies and a touch of 80’s sound”.

Talking about the new album, he added: “I’m very excited to present to all of you the new Eternal Idol chapter. This new material is so fresh and melodic, with our trademark modern symphonic touch. The connection between band members and production team made something special which I’m very happy to share with all of you. The record is epic, symphonic, modern, mainstream and bombastic as you’ve never heard before. See you out there, Idols!!!”

Eternal Idol return with a revamped, re-energized line-up and an exciting new album, “Behind A Vision”.

Following the departure of Fabio Lione (Rhapsody, Angra) and Claudia Layline, guitarist Nick Savio (Hollow Haze), bassist Andrea Buratto (Secret Sphere, Hell In The Club), and drummer Enrico Fabris, managed to bring on board two young talented singers Gabriele Gozzi (who recently joined Induction) and Letizia Merlo.

Eternal Idol’s sophomore album is an epic maelstrom of symphonic/melodic metal that will delight fans of the genre who treasure intense songwriting and impeccable vocal performances.

Nick Savio worked hard on songwriting and arrangements. The new vocalists added their personal touch on all the songs as well. The album was recorded between the end of 2019 and early 2020, produced by Eternal Idol, and mixed by Simone Mularoni (DGM, Sunstorm). “Behind A Vision” represents a promise and a statement from Eternal Idol: to be one of the absolute best melodic metal releases of the year!

Eternal Idol is a symphonic metal band which was put together by Rhapsody and Angra vocalist Fabio Lione Italian guitarist Nick Savio of Hollow Haze. Their plan was to create a new and original sound which could catch symphonic metal fans by surprise. In fact, Eternal Idol offers an intriguing mix of classic metal, symphonic rock, and a few progressive metal twists.

The band’s debut, “The Unrevealed Secret” was released in December 2016, and received an overall excellent response. The band toured Europe and Italy in support of the release in early 2017.

Unfortunately, Eternal Idol went through some lineup changes all over the years, but Nick has always been able to regroup and brought a reenergized line-up and, with a brand new album under their belt, the band is now ready to once again unleash its baroque metal sound on the world!

“Behind A Vision” Tracklist:

1.    Amnesia
2.    The Enemy Is Me
3.    Empire Of One
4.    Vampire
5.    Battle Of Souls
6.    Beyond The Sun
7.    Revolution

Vocalist Nathan James commented on the new single: “Say What You Wanna Say” is the kind of track that all the Inglorious fans are going to love. It’s that high energy high tempo vibe with lots of punch, but also with a bit of a twist. Colin wrote this musically and I love the chorus. It’s a big tune and one I’m really looking forward to doing live”.

Bassist Colin Parkinson added: “The track is a statement of attitude with a punk meets Mötley Crüe feel. Nathan was very open to changing up vocal styles and trying new approaches on this, which has worked really well. I look forward to playing this one live!”

Regarding the new album, he added: “I am extremely happy to be returning to Inglorious after a while away. It’s the right time to get some kickass new music out there for the fans and to focus on the future. Writing and recording with Nathan again has been the easiest it’s ever been; it all flowed so well. We’ve all played and sang our asses off on these songs and I know the new album will not disappoint!”

Lead singer Nathan James stated: “In the summer of 2023, I sent a message to Colin and asked him if he wanted to come for a pint. A few meetings and writing sessions later, we had more than an album’s worth of great material and I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every second of creating this album with him and the new line up. Colin has always been a great songwriter and over the years we’ve both matured as artists, writers, performers and people. This is going to be a great year for Inglorious and I’m excited to welcome Colin back and to share this new music with everyone”.

Inglorious returns with frontman Nathan James and original bassist Colin Parkinson. Nathan James, who founded the band in 2014, has been singing professionally for 20 years. He has performed/recorded with artists such as Ginger Baker, Uli Jon Roth and The Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

More recently, he has appeared in Jeff Wayne’s musical version of The War Of The Worlds, Steve Steinman’s Vampires Rock Symphonic, 80’s Classical and Zeppelin Symphonic. Nathan also fronts Supergroup Iconic, under the Frontiers roster featuring Michael Sweet, Joel Hoekstra, Marco Mendoza and Tommy Aldridge.

In 2022, after a lengthy UK tour, Inglorious announced a hiatus. After seven years of non-stop touring with bands such as The Winery Dogs, Steel Panther, The Dead Daisies, Last In Line, as well as their own international tours and festival appearances, recording four original albums, a live album and a covers album, everyone felt it was the right time to take a break.

Nathan is now back, looking forward to unleashing his powerful voice and he joined forces once again with original Inglorious bass player and main co-writer Colin Parkinson, who co-wrote and released the first three albums with the band: “Inglorious”, “II” and “Ride To Nowhere”.

Joining them is renowned guitarist Richard Shaw, best known for his work with English extreme metal band Cradle Of Filth, as well as NG26, Emperor Chung, and Plague Of Angels. Richard brings exceptional musicality and a fresh energy to the band’s sound.

On drums, longtime friend of Nathan, Henry Rogers, completes the line up. A celebrated musician, Henry has played with Touchstone, Mostly Autumn, Mia Klose, and Mark Kelly’s Marathon and has earned accolades such as “Drummer Of The Year” in Classic Rock Prog Magazine and Rhythm Magazine’s list of influential progressive drummers.

Produced by Colin Parkinson, “V” was mixed by Tony Draper, who also worked on “Inglorious II” and “Ride To Nowhere”, ensuring the album retains the band’s signature sound while exploring new heights.
