Alestorm – 09/21/2025

As always, another great show by the almighty Alestorm! Alestorm sailed into The Forge in Joliet, IL and blew up the crowd opening the show with “Keelhauled” and continued on with a set of a few new songs and a ton of fan favorites. Fans were packed in like sardines, it felt like 120 degrees, but that didn’t stop the fans. They still all managed to jump in unison and crowdsurfers were flying towards the stage with arms and legs flailing.

Burning Witches – 07/14/2024 at The Forge

This was my first time ever seeing Switzerland’s all female heavy metal act Burning Witches. Truth be told I wasn’t familiar with them until I saw the ad for the show and decided to check them out. I’ll say they really deliver an awesome set full of screaming riffs, crashing drums and powerful vocals. After seeing them live they are definitely getting added to my regular rotation. Recommended for fans of power metal.
