BLOODRIDE Presents Dystopian Thrash Anthem “Erase and Replace” from Upcoming Album Deafening

Finnish thrash metal juggernauts BLOODRIDE present the adrenaline-charged music video for their latest single, “Erase and Replace” — a blazing taste of what’s to come on their upcoming full-length Deafening, set for release on 25 July 2025 via Wormholedeath.

“Erase and Replace” rips through the illusion of modern progress with razor-sharp riffs, venomous vocals, and dystopian fury. It’s a no-holds-barred assault on digital mind control, conformity, and the slow erasure of humanity in the face of soulless automation. Eternal Idol return with a revamped, re-energized line-up and an exciting new album, “Behind A Vision”.

Following the departure of Fabio Lione (Rhapsody, Angra) and Claudia Layline, guitarist Nick Savio (Hollow Haze), bassist Andrea Buratto (Secret Sphere, Hell In The Club), and drummer Enrico Fabris, managed to bring on board two young talented singers Gabriele Gozzi (who recently joined Induction) and Letizia Merlo.

Eternal Idol’s sophomore album is an epic maelstrom of symphonic/melodic metal that will delight fans of the genre who treasure intense songwriting and impeccable vocal performances.

Nick Savio worked hard on songwriting and arrangements. The new vocalists added their personal touch on all the songs as well. The album was recorded between the end of 2019 and early 2020, produced by Eternal Idol, and mixed by Simone Mularoni (DGM, Sunstorm). “Behind A Vision” represents a promise and a statement from Eternal Idol: to be one of the absolute best melodic metal releases of the year!

Eternal Idol is a symphonic metal band which was put together by Rhapsody and Angra vocalist Fabio Lione Italian guitarist Nick Savio of Hollow Haze. Their plan was to create a new and original sound which could catch symphonic metal fans by surprise. In fact, Eternal Idol offers an intriguing mix of classic metal, symphonic rock, and a few progressive metal twists.

The band’s debut, “The Unrevealed Secret” was released in December 2016, and received an overall excellent response. The band toured Europe and Italy in support of the release in early 2017.

Unfortunately, Eternal Idol went through some lineup changes all over the years, but Nick has always been able to regroup and brought a reenergized line-up and, with a brand new album under their belt, the band is now ready to once again unleash its baroque metal sound on the world!

Vocalist Nathan James commented on the new single: “Say What You Wanna Say” is the kind of track that all the Inglorious fans are going to love. It’s that high energy high tempo vibe with lots of punch, but also with a bit of a twist. Colin wrote this musically and I love the chorus. It’s a big tune and one I’m really looking forward to doing live”.

Bassist Colin Parkinson added: “The track is a statement of attitude with a punk meets Mötley Crüe feel. Nathan was very open to changing up vocal styles and trying new approaches on this, which has worked really well. I look forward to playing this one live!”

Regarding the new album, he added: “I am extremely happy to be returning to Inglorious after a while away. It’s the right time to get some kickass new music out there for the fans and to focus on the future. Writing and recording with Nathan again has been the easiest it’s ever been; it all flowed so well. We’ve all played and sang our asses off on these songs and I know the new album will not disappoint!”

Lead singer Nathan James stated: “In the summer of 2023, I sent a message to Colin and asked him if he wanted to come for a pint. A few meetings and writing sessions later, we had more than an album’s worth of great material and I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every second of creating this album with him and the new line up. Colin has always been a great songwriter and over the years we’ve both matured as artists, writers, performers and people. This is going to be a great year for Inglorious and I’m excited to welcome Colin back and to share this new music with everyone”.

Inglorious returns with frontman Nathan James and original bassist Colin Parkinson. Nathan James, who founded the band in 2014, has been singing professionally for 20 years. He has performed/recorded with artists such as Ginger Baker, Uli Jon Roth and The Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

More recently, he has appeared in Jeff Wayne’s musical version of The War Of The Worlds, Steve Steinman’s Vampires Rock Symphonic, 80’s Classical and Zeppelin Symphonic. Nathan also fronts Supergroup Iconic, under the Frontiers roster featuring Michael Sweet, Joel Hoekstra, Marco Mendoza and Tommy Aldridge.

In 2022, after a lengthy UK tour, Inglorious announced a hiatus. After seven years of non-stop touring with bands such as The Winery Dogs, Steel Panther, The Dead Daisies, Last In Line, as well as their own international tours and festival appearances, recording four original albums, a live album and a covers album, everyone felt it was the right time to take a break.

Nathan is now back, looking forward to unleashing his powerful voice and he joined forces once again with original Inglorious bass player and main co-writer Colin Parkinson, who co-wrote and released the first three albums with the band: “Inglorious”, “II” and “Ride To Nowhere”.

Joining them is renowned guitarist Richard Shaw, best known for his work with English extreme metal band Cradle Of Filth, as well as NG26, Emperor Chung, and Plague Of Angels. Richard brings exceptional musicality and a fresh energy to the band’s sound.

On drums, longtime friend of Nathan, Henry Rogers, completes the line up. A celebrated musician, Henry has played with Touchstone, Mostly Autumn, Mia Klose, and Mark Kelly’s Marathon and has earned accolades such as “Drummer Of The Year” in Classic Rock Prog Magazine and Rhythm Magazine’s list of influential progressive drummers.

Produced by Colin Parkinson, “V” was mixed by Tony Draper, who also worked on “Inglorious II” and “Ride To Nowhere”, ensuring the album retains the band’s signature sound while exploring new heights.

Formed in Spain in 2022, Müntrails blends raw emotion with atmospheric rock. French post-hardcore/alt-metal Maps And Foils New Album ‘Nulle Part’ Out Now

Paris-based post-hardcore/alternative metal band Maps And Foils have officially released their new album, Nulle Part — available now on CD and all major digital platforms.

Blending dissonant hardcore with ethereal melodies, Nulle Part offers a gripping and introspective journey through themes of wandering, self-destruction, and personal transformation.

The release also marks a turning point for the group, closing the chapter on its original lineup while ushering in a new era of creative momentum.

Maps And Foils is an alternative/metal/post-hardcore band from Paris, founded in 2016 by Tristan (vocals, guitar) and Thomas (guitar, backing vocals). Over the years, they have explored a wide musical spectrum, releasing two full-length albums—#1 and Less Is Mort—as well as diverse projects, including the grindcore EP Les Anathèmes and the documentary At Spes Non Fracta.

Following Thomas’s departure, the band evolved into a power-trio, with Ewen on bass and Lucas on drums. In 2024, with its renewed line-up, M&F released the EP Dies Irae, a prelude to their next full-length record.

In 2025, Maps And Foils returned with Après l’éclipse, the first single from their third album, Nulle Part. This conceptual record delves into themes of wandering and self-destruction, blending dissonant hardcore with ethereal melodies to amplify its introspective lyrics. Marking the end of an era with the original lineup, the album also signals a new chapter for the band. With Antoine now on bass, Maps And Foils is stronger than ever, ready to bring their latest work to life on stage.

 

Dråpslag to released third EP “Kir & Komplimanger” on June 27

During the 2020 plague, a man sat at a kitchen table filled to the brim with empty beer cans, a guitar in his hand, in a haunted house contaminated with the deadly disease. A small house in northern Götaland of Sweden, on the plain in the forests around the mountain of Lugnås in Mariestad. From the darkness of the abyss in the deepest despair, memories of a bygone era came back, a happier and simpler time… Alone there at the kitchen table, he took the pen, and a text was created, and the guitar was tuned. With a stocky broken voice, the song idea was documented and posted directly on Facebook where the man has his face. The following week, he wrote a few more songs, and his voice became stronger as he started to break free from the clutches of the plague.

The man is called Markus, the same Markus who once formed a small punk band with his best friends under the name Wolfpack (later renamed Wolfbrigade), which, yes let’s describe it a bit humbly, has made quite an impression in the punk scene since then.

The songs that Markus posted there alone at the kitchen table had started to take on a little life of their own through the algorithms and people started to get in touch and wanted to hear more of Markus’ life reflections. One of these was Pelle, who wondered if it could be a little more distortion. There and then, this meeting became the starting point for the new band Dråpslag. Pelle was invited to the sessions and the empty beer cans were cleaned away in favour of refilled beer cans. A rarely seen acoustic songwriting drunkenness takes over, it was sung, played guitar, tuned up in oi choruses and it was written an uncountable number of 7-inch punk bangers … The band needed a drummer, so Markus invited his drummer from his other band Brute Force Trauma, he said YES on the spot. Dråpslag was then a fact with the trio Markus (bass and vocals), Pelle (guitar and vocals) and Emil (drums).

In the following weeks, the band rehearsed in a more controlled way and went into the studio and the debut EP “Framstupa punkläge” was released in 2024 followed by the second EP “Punkbullterrier” the same year.

Now in the summer of 2025, the band releases their third EP “Kir & Komplimanger” (Distat Records) on June 27, 2025, four songs of punk-oi-bangers of the best kind …

Gothony Video Interview

Gothony was formed in 1993, after two demos, “Gothony” in 1995 and “Hidden Thoughts” in 1997, and numerous shows, until the band broke up in 1999. There was no drama in the breakup, but everyone went their own way.
In 2019, it was decided to reunite Gothony to revive the past and play old songs. Wuohi, who had sung on “Bleed Me Tears” and “Katharsis” in the 90s, joined Gothony.
In 2020, Gothony went to Tuska-Torstai and Emergenza to rehearse live shows. After the shows, it was decided to start working on new songs and continue the story of Gothony.
Gothony’s first official single, “Patient 2442”, was completed in April 2023 and released with a music video by Kimmo Jaatinen (director, cinematographer, writer and editor). The second single, “In the Shadow of the Moon”, was released in July 2023. Gothony’s first official album was released on January 12, 2024. The band is currently working on new songs, which are scheduled for release in late 2025.

HELLFOX’s New Album “The Spectrum of Human Gravity” Out Now

After months of anticipation, Italian all-female melodic death metal band HELLFOX officially release their new album “The Spectrum Of Human Gravity“ via Rockshots Records.

HELLFOX is an ALL FEMALE alternative metal (alt-metal) band with melodic death tendencies. Despite the four completely different musical backgrounds, we share a common inspiration to Amorphis, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity as far as composition is concerned, while for the choice of sounds we intended to move away from the Symphonic, recognizably feminine scenario to include acid and distorted synths so that we could create modern atmospheres that more closely met our tastes and better married the pop timbre of the melodic vocals. The dualism of HELLFOX is not meant to be understood on a conflicting level, it is instead the result of different voices within the human soul, different faces if you will, that mingle and generate the person itself, in its entirety, that although they seem to struggle, they coexist and create harmony and balance. We don’t use masks to conform to a mass, nor do we want to stand out at all costs, we just want to be ourselves in a society where normality is only a surface, the abyss instead is made up of so many facets of personality, both for the group and especially for the individual human being. Ours is a message within everyone’s reach, in which one can recognize oneself: that little voice in the head that either draws you in or drives you away… Because for us, nothing is normal, nothing is different.

After months of building anticipation through the release of the singles “Power To The People” and “Rocking Through The Night“, Italian hard rockers Nastyville are ready to officially turn the page with the launch of their brand-new studio album: “Rebirth”, out now via Rockshots Records.

Nastyville is an Italian hard rock band formed in 2012 by drummer Danny Boy and guitarist David “Dave Wild,” with the aim of refreshing the rock genre. The first studio album, “Viva Hell-A” (released in 2015), features old-fashioned guitar riffs and the flavor of the best street/glam rock with Lex on vocals, Kruska on bass guitar, and Manuel on guitar. After Lex and Kruska left, the band continued its journey with Marco “Mark Lee” on vocals and Fabian Anderchen on bass guitar, releasing in 2017 their second studio album, “Glam Caramel”. In 2023, founding member and drummer Danny Boy and bassist Paul left the band and were soon replaced by Christian “Chris Tabeat” on drums and Carlo “The Horv” on bass guitar. After the release of the two singles “Red Black…Or Green?” and “Livin’ in A Mess”, the band with its new lineup consisting of Marco “Mark Lee” on vocals, David “Dave Wild” on guitar, Christian “Dega” on guitar, Christian “Chris Tabeat” on drums and Carlo “The Horv” on bass guitar, worked tirelessly on new studio material. The year 2024 was a very good year when the band played many dates across Italy and abroad. The opening act for Steel Panther in Milan (Alcatraz) deserves special mention. The band spent the last months of the year working on a brand-new album, entering the studio in December to start recording their fourth studio album under the supervision of producer, singer, and songwriter Alessandro Del Vecchio.

Wrapping up their Western Canadian Tour this past May, in support of their first full-length, “Troubled Mind”, Toronto prog rock Derev is sharing their latest lyric video “Darker Self”. It is the album’s closing track and speaks of embracing our true selves. Specifically, the instinctual, animalistic side we often suppress in an attempt to please others. Ignoring the value that this side of us brings in dire times renders us weak, fragile, and miserable.

“Our darker self is portrayed as a beast in hibernation, the lyrics start by enticing this animal to ‘Rise up and shake the dust off..”. As the song progresses, we begin to understand the true value of these traits that were deemed disgraceful and learn to embrace them, rather than bury them,” adds the band.

Derev‘s new album “Troubled Mind” is the follow-up to their 2021 debut EP “Leap of Faith,” and takes a deep dive into the intricacies of the human psyche, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues with each track, ranging from temporary mental instability to more severe conditions such as schizophrenia, cognitive immobility (a fixation on the past), and depression stemming from loss.

Offering a diverse range of sounds from mellow, calm tracks to adrenaline-pumping heavy headbangers while maintaining their distinctive progressive rock sound, enriched with Middle Eastern influences. Incorporating more prominent keyboard parts, experimenting with various time signatures, and introducing new instruments such as the Cajon, Darbuka, and electronic elements. This evolution showcases the band’s innovative spirit and commitment to pushing musical boundaries.

“This album is very personal and introspective. It’s full of memorable songs and parts to listen to and digest, both from a musical and lyrical perspective. Every song tackles a different state of mind and takes the listener into their thoughts of a mental state that they can relate to.
