Porispere 2-3.8.2024, Pori(Finland)

Porispere was held in Kirjurinluoto Pori during the first weekend of August. As every year the lineup was varied to please everyone and for metal lovers there was Cradle of Filth, Sonata Arctica, Royal Republic, Battle Beast, Lost Society, Stam1na to name the most famous.
The audience also had the privilege of celebrating the music of Kingston Wall, the legendary cult progressive rock band from the 90s that ended with the death of Petri Walli in 1995, thanks to the project Jylli & Kuoppis – Music of Kingston Wall presented by bassist Jukka Jylli and drummer Sami Kuoppamäki accompanied by Jesper Anastasiadis, Juhani Grönroos, Esa Holopainen and Mikko Von Hertzen.
Another historic Finnish rock band Don Huonot, who celebrate their 35th anniversary in 2024, graced the stage at Porispere after their recent comeback.
A historic moment also for Lauri Tähka, one of the most esteemed and passionate Finnish artists of recent years, who seems to conclude his career in 2024 with some shows, including the one in Porispere. Also Kwan, a Finnish band that saw a boom in the early 2000s and had many famous names as guests on their albums such as Siiri Nordin (Killer), Jyrki 69 (The 69 eyes) and Lauri Ylönen (The Rasmus), returned to the stage with its original lineup this summer.
Closing the festival on Friday was the dj Windows95man, who represented Finland at the last edition of Eurovision with the song “No rules!”

Porispere & Minispere 4-6/8/2023, Pori (Finland)

Also this year The Offering had the opportunity to be present at Porispere, the festival that has been held every first weekend of August for more than 10 years in Pori. The particularity of the festival is to offer a wide range of musical genres over the three days, ranging from metal to pop and everything in between. Notable names this year included Within Temptation, Airbourne, Stratovarius, The Rasmus, Beast in Black, Turmion Kätilöt, Diablo, and Stoned Statues to name a few. Sunday was the day dedicated to families called Minispere, for the occasion on the stage performed Käärijä, who represented Finland at the last edition of Eurovision, missing the victory by very few points with his “Cha cha cha”. The festival was sold out on Saturday and Sunday, the weather was also forgiving with summer temperatures and only an hour of rain on Saturday. Porispere, Pori (Finland) 5-6/8/2022

This year the Porispere has grown larger by expanding the festival area to accommodate more people, with a new larger stage and no restrictions on alcohol areas. Unfortunately the weather was not on the side of the festival, rain and wind made the program change at the last minute and two gigs were canceled. Despite all, the festival was a success and the dates for next year have already been announced.

Porispere 2021, Pori (Fin)

The celebration of Porispere’s 10th anniversary took place this year after the postponement occurred in 2020. The last weekend of July the festival was held in Kirjurinluoto, recording a sold out on Saturday. Like every edition, the festival has hosted artists of genres ranging from pop to metal; Ensiferum, Beast in Black, The 69 eyes, Stam1na and Apulanta are few of the most noted names.
We were there to capture the moments of this edition with our cameras.

Shiraz Lane Interview

The young Finnish rock band Shiraz Lane, after many years with Frontiers Records, has signed with the record label Ranka Kustannus and they are working on a new album.
The new single “Do you” has been released today and you can listen it on spotify.
We had the opportunity to meet Hannes and Miki before their show at Porispere and talk about the upcoming album, the last European tour with H.E.A.T. and much more.

Porispere is a festival located in the center of Pori, Finland.
Throughout the years the festival is become pretty popular attracting people from all over the country and beyond.
This festival has the ability to put together different musical genres creating a great 3 days party.
We had the opportunity to be there for the first 2 days and enjoy the performances of great artists such as Venom Inc, D-A-D, Vince Neil, Michael Monroe, Battle beast, S-TOOL, Von Hertzen Brothers, Stam1na, Mokoma and many more.

Summer in Finland means rock festivals and Pori isn’t a exception with its Porispere. Porispere festival is located in Kirjurinluoto, a park close to the center, also known as location for the famous jazz festival Pori Jazz. This year the festival was during the first weekend of August and the line-up was very attractive: Twisted Sister, Metal Church, Children of Bodom, Moonsorrow, Santa Cruz, Diablo, Stam1na, Mokoma, Reckless love, Hillbilly Casino and Klamydia just to name the most important.
