The Finnish melodic death metal band Bloody Moon released the second single & music video ‘Deadly Rendezvous’ from the upcoming Lost & Damned album

Finnish melodic death metal band Bloody Moon is set to release their second studio album ‘Lost & Damned’ on October 31st 2025 via Inverse Records. The second single ‘Deadly Rendezvous’ was unleashed on August 13th.

“Deadly Rendezvous” was originally written to be the opening track of the album—we wanted the record to start with a real bang. The song draws inspiration from the A Nightmare on Elm Street movies, in which a dream demon invades people’s sleep and kills them in their dreams.

Vocalist/Guitarist Veeti Sukari shares:

“This was the first song we created and demoed for the album. We wanted every track to be solid gold, so we made a lot of demos and handpicked the very best for the final record. While recording guitars, we experimented with mic placement in front of the amp to find the best possible sound using just the microphone. I played with the heaviest and most energetic touch I could—there’s a real, raw energy in the performance that comes through loud and clear.”

Royal Sorrow’s heart-pounding Bloodflower single leads to Innerdeeps album – The album will be celebrated at Euroblast on September 26th

Royal Sorrow, the new progressive metal comet that made their debut in Finland this summer at Tuska, will release their debut album Innerdeeps on September 26th, and the event will be celebrated with a gig at Euroblast, one of the number one progressive metal festivals, on the same day.

The stunning visualiser video for the new Bloodflower single, which was released on streaming services yesterday, has been released today on YouTube.

The Finnish band, who already attracted international attention with their debut Metrograve single, once again packs themes that are simultaneously dark and beautiful in the human mind into the Bloodflower single.

“This is a dark meditation-like reflection on lust, addiction and consequences – it is a raw song about the consequences of bad choices.”

“Bloodflower is a tragedy and poetic metaphor for a flower that is both beautiful and deadly. It represents something you deeply desired, but ultimately consumed you. When redemption seems out of reach, can taking responsibility bring the peace you need?” the band ponders.

The physical version of Innerdeeps will be released as a limited edition plastic-free CD and a transparent neon orange vinyl.

The songs on the Innerdeeps album are:

Samsara

Thrash Metal Titans BLOODRIDE Unleash “King of Pain” Lyric Video

Finnish thrash metal juggernauts BLOODRIDE return with the lyric video for “King of Pain”, the latest offering from their new album, Deafening — out now worldwide through Wormholedeath.

“King of Pain” is a vicious psychological purge — a relentless dive into numbness, rage, and the unbearable weight of existence. With razor-edged riffs and raw, unfiltered lyrics, the track explores a protagonist trapped in a cycle of self-loathing and emotional torment, ruled by a need to feel something — even if it’s pain. It’s not just a song; it’s a scream from the void, a twisted anthem for those who’ve ever stared into the abyss and dared it to stare back.

Formed in Helsinki in 2000, BLOODRIDE have spent over two decades perfecting their signature cocktail of razor-sharp thrash, death metal menace, and hardcore aggression. The band’s previous album, Idiocracy (2021), was praised across international metal media for its unrelenting energy and cutting social commentary — a tradition that Deafening carries forward with even greater ferocity.

Finnish Prog CANVAS OF SILENCE New Video “One With The Wind” From Debut Album “As The World Tree Fell” Out Oct 2025

Finnish female-fronted progressive metal band Canvas of Silence continues the rollout of their debut album “As The World Tree Fell” with the release of their second single “One With The Wind”, available now on all digital platforms via Rockshots Records.

Following the emotionally intense and prog-driven debut single “Drown“, the new track explores a more melodic and soaring side of the band’s musical palette. “One With The Wind” blends hauntingly beautiful vocal lines with straightforward sections and intricate, prog-tinged instrumentation — a signature approach the band has defined as “Prog-influenced Chorus Metal”.

Lyrically, the song takes the form of a farewell letter inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s The Wind Rises. It captures the final words of someone preparing to part ways with the world, offering one last message of hope, love, and liberation. As always with Canvas of Silence, deep philosophical themes are woven into the sonic texture of the song — an interplay of melancholy and euphoria, darkness and release.

Taken from the concept album “As The World Tree Fell“, “One With The Wind” is a key chapter in a larger journey that reflects on collapse, rebirth, and the fragile beauty of being. The album title itself refers to a metaphorical World Tree falling, symbolizing both personal and global disintegration and the silent promise of renewal.

Through Flames and Folklore: VALLORCH’s “Hellpath” Live Video Ignites Ancient Myth – New Album “The Circle” Out Now

Vallorch continues their evolution through folk and symphonic metal with “Hellpath”, their brand-new single and official live video taken from the acclaimed album “The Circle” (out via Rockshots Records). Shot during the band’s 2025 Italian Tour at Obscene Valhalla, the performance captures Vallorch’s intense stage presence and emotional depth, directed and edited by Simone D’Addazio (@morksar) with additional camera work by Ivan Castelli (Ivan Lionsoul).

With its evocative mix of crushing riffs, folk instrumentation, and fierce, emotive vocals, “Hellpath” transforms ancient myth into a deeply personal reflection on life’s hardest questions. The track draws inspiration from the Cimbrian tale “The 99 Paths of Hell”, where a man must outwit the devil to save his soul — a tale Vallorch reimagines as a metaphor for life’s endless crossroads: regret, anxiety, identity, and the fear of being forgotten.

Lyrically and musically, the song is one of the band’s most introspective works to date. Harsh vocals embody the voice of the devil—or perhaps one’s inner demons—while solemn folk melodies evoke a dance through fire. Despite its darkness, the song offers resilience: a call to keep walking, even through flame, and to stay true to oneself in a world of uncertainty.

Hellpath” shines as one of the most powerful moments on “The Circle“, an album that explores the many faces of the night: its solitude and celebration, its fears and freedoms. Vallorch’s unique blend of folk, symphonic, death, and power metal, along with their deep connection to Alpine mythology and Cimbrian heritage, sets them apart in the modern metal landscape.

The video of “Hellpath” is not just a performance — it’s a ritual. The band’s energy, intensity, and connection with the audience are palpable, delivering a visual and sonic experience that encapsulates everything Vallorch stands for.

Fans of Eluveitie, Wind Rose, Epicaand Alestorm will find in “Hellpath” a song that bridges myth and meaning, tradition and self-expression — a path into the flames and through them.

ABOUT:

VALLORCH was born in December 2010, when Marco Munari (NewSun), Matteo Patuelli (Alzhagoth), and Massimo Benetazzo came up with the idea right after attending a concert together. Inspired by the energy and spirit of the event, they decided to form their own band, and the name VALLORCH—taken from a small Cimbrian village on the Cansiglio plateau—was quickly chosen as a tribute to their cultural roots.

For the first year, VALLORCH experimented with different sounds and musicians, searching for the right lineup. By January 2012, the group solidified with the addition of vocalist/flutist Sara, vocalist/bassist Leonardo Dalla Via, multi-instrumentalist Andrea ‘Demetrio’ Rampin (playing tin whistle, bagpipes, accordion), and violinist Francesco Salviato. This seven-member ensemble debuted live in March 2012, promoting their newly released EP Stories of North. Their captivating blend of folk metal quickly gained traction, earning them recognition in the Italian scene and leading to performances at events like Fosch Fest, where they opened for major bands.

However, the summer of 2012 brought changes. Violinist Francesco parted ways with the band, and Martina Mezzalira took his place. Around the same time, VALLORCH signed a record deal with Moonlight Records and entered the studio to work on their first full-length album. Released in 2013, Neverfade was met with critical and fan acclaim, blending fast-paced, melodic jigs with guttural and clean vocals, alongside powerful death metal riffs. This success landed them performances at major international festivals like Metaldays.

2014 saw further lineup shifts. Andrea Demetrio Rampin left the band, replaced by Paolo Pesce on accordion, hurdy-gurdy, and keyboards. Meanwhile, vocalist Sara took over tin whistle and bagpipe duties. Founding member Matteo Patuelli also stepped down, making way for guitarist Mattia Buggin to join. Despite these changes, VALLORCH pressed forward, embarking on their first European tour with Artaius. They played in Germany, Czechia, France, Belgium, and Slovakia, culminating in a performance opening for Mägo de Oz at the Metal for Emergency festival.

Later that year, they returned to the studio to record their second full-length album, Until Our Tale Is Told (2015). The album reflected the band’s growing compositional maturity and led to more festival appearances and live shows over the next two years.

In 2016, Riccardo Gianni briefly joined the band as a violinist, performing at several major local festivals. However, by 2019, the band was once again at a crossroads. After a series of lineup changes and creative challenges, founding member Marco Munari decided to leave the group. The remaining members—Massimo, Sara, Leo, Mattia, and Marco—faced a difficult choice: either disband or evolve. They chose to reinvent themselves as a five-piece band.

The global restrictions from 2020 to 2022 made live performances difficult, but the band used this time to focus on writing new material. By 2023, VALLORCH returned to the stage, opening for renowned acts like Alestorm, Wind Rose, and Rhapsody Of Fire.

Now, in 2025, VALLORCH is set to release their highly anticipated new album, “The Circle”, marking a triumphant return. Reborn from the ashes of their former selves, they are ready to take the world by storm once again.

Toronto Prog DEREV Posts New Music Video “Futile” Ahead of Toronto Show Date w/ VOLA

Tapped to be opening support for Denmark’s VOLA‘s Toronto tour date on Sept 12th at The Opera House (ticket info), local prog rockers Derev are sharing their latest live music video for their track “Futile”, which was filmed during the band’s album launch show this past March for their first full-length, “Troubled Mind”.

“Futile” was the lead single from their 2021 EP “Leap of Faith”, and is about the uncontrolled advancement of AI. The track is a fusion of metal’s raw energy with the atmospheric depth of progressive rock, featuring mellow instrumental sections and expressive solos that evoke introspection and emotional complexity.

Watch and listen to “Futile” (Live at Supermarket) at https://youtu.be/KTWam3NPUHA

Derev‘s new album “Troubled Mind,” released this past March, is the follow-up to their 2021 debut EP “Leap of Faith.” It takes a deep dive into the intricacies of the human psyche, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues with each track, ranging from temporary mental instability to more severe conditions such as schizophrenia, cognitive immobility (a fixation on the past), and depression stemming from loss.

Offering a diverse range of sounds from mellow, calm tracks to adrenaline-pumping heavy headbangers while maintaining their distinctive progressive rock sound, enriched with Middle Eastern influences. Incorporating more prominent keyboard parts, experimenting with various time signatures, and introducing new instruments such as the Cajon, Darbuka, and electronic elements. This evolution showcases the band’s innovative spirit and commitment to pushing musical boundaries.

The band adds:

“This album is very personal and introspective. It’s full of memorable songs and parts to listen to and digest, both from a musical and lyrical perspective. Every song tackles a different state of mind and takes the listener into their thoughts of a mental state that they can relate to. As this one marks our second official release, we think the fans will be excited about hearing what Derev still has to offer. They’re in for a crazy ride full of energetic ups and heartbreaking downs.”

Derev was conceived after founding member and drummer Michel Karakach, after fleeing the war in the Middle East and finding refuge in Toronto, Canada, reunited with his best friend, guitarist Armando Bablanian, to turn what was once a mere childhood dream into a powerful reality.

Derev‘s dynamic lineup now includes bassist Stan Komarovsky, providing the backbone of Derev‘s sound, and keyboardist Ran Zehavi from the progressive rock band Scalar, adding depth and complexity. Leading the live charge is frontman and vocalist Mike Symons, who has replaced previous singer Adel Saflou, whose recorded vocals are featured on “Troubled Mind”.

Recommended for fans of Opeth, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Soen, and Riverside, “Troubled Mind” was released on March 26th, 2025, and is available at https://www.derevmusic.com/store (CD, Vinyl, T-Shirt) and all digital platforms.

Canadian Rockers DOLL Hit The Beach w/ DIY Video “Shark Bait” Off New EP “Better Days, Different Times” Out Now

Canadian husband and wife alt-rock duo Doll are making a splash for your summer beach plans with their latest DIY music video for their track “Shark Bait” from their recently released EP “Better Days, Different Times”. The EP marks the band’s first taste of new music since 2011’s “The Ragdoll Diaries”. The EP represents not just a return to form but a significant evolution for the Ottawa-based band has expanded its sonic palette while maintaining its core identity.

“With this collection of songs, we aimed to bring listeners closer to what’s important to us—our values and our experiences. It’s not just something to listen to; it’s something to sit with and reflect on. This time, it’s less about loudness and more about the weight behind the lyrics. And for our track, Shark Bait, we wanted it to be more than a music video. It’s a reminder that creativity thrives when you’re having fun, and sometimes, the best art is the kind that bites back with a grin.” adds the band.

With razor-sharp riffs and frontwoman Christina Kasper’s haunting vocals, “Shark Bait” explores emotional predators and the fight to stay afloat in a world full of teeth.

Watch and listen to the music video for “Shark Bait” at https://youtu.be/XWP4kLw7xlw

“Better Days, Different Times” isn’t just DOLL’s resurrection—it’s their reinvention. This EP marks the band’s return with a more refined and emotionally resonant sound, proving that time away has only deepened their creative force. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, it offers a compelling gateway into DOLL’s evolved artistry.

Each track was carefully chosen for its emotional resonance, striking a chord deep within the band. Some songs arrive in softer, quieter moments—but don’t be misled. The weight remains, the message still cuts deep. Darkness and heaviness linger beneath the surface, true to DOLL’s commitment to raw, therapeutic songwriting.

Rooted in lived experience and honest emotion, the EP continues the band’s tradition of using music as a tool for personal reflection and connection, reaching listeners who find solace in shared struggles and unfiltered expression.

Italian Metal Rock Discovery epoimóriròmiope Signs to Epictronic for Debut Release

Epictronic Records is thrilled to welcome Italian genre-bending rock metal act epoimóriròmiope to its roster for their haunting new album, ricordi di un tempo mai esistito, due for release on 10 October 2025.

Emerging from Bologna’s underground in 2021, epoimóriròmiope has been forging a unique sonic identity by merging the visceral impact of Metalcore with the immersive textures of EDM, Alternative Rock, and Industrial. What began as a one-man studio project has evolved into a fully formed band with a bold new sound and vision.

Following the underground acclaim of earlier self-released works Vincoli and kabukimono, the band made a decisive move to withdraw their previous catalogue from streaming platforms, signaling a rebirth with a new lineup and a darker, more refined artistic direction. Now, with Epictronic behind them, they are ready to unveil their most ambitious work to date.

ricordi di un tempo mai esistito (“memories of a time that never existed”) is an emotionally charged concept album that dives deep into themes of loss, abandonment, rage, anxiety, and the fleeting nature of existence. Written during a period of intense personal turmoil, the album is both catharsis and confession — a raw sonic diary built on distorted memories and unspoken grief.

Fusing jagged guitar riffs, aggressive synths, glitched textures, and cinematic soundscapes, the record draws inspiration from Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Bring Me The Horizon, Massive Attack, and echoes of darkwave, IDM, and cyberpunk. It’s a record that doesn’t seek to soothe but to confront — a sonic mirror held up to the most shadowed corners of the human psyche.

This release marks the beginning of a new chapter for epoimóriròmiope, one rooted in emotional truth and unrelenting sonic exploration.

epoimóriròmiope is:
Erik Storari – Vocals, Guitar, Composition, Production
Sara Fioravanti – Bass
Giulio Barranca – Drums

Finnish Heavy Metal Veterans WILLFIRE Sign With Wormholedeath

Wormholedeath is proud to announce the signing of Finnish heavy metal powerhouse WILLFIRE for the official reissue of their album, Homebrewed Recordings, due for re-release on 19 September 2025.

Hailing from the land of a thousand lakes and infinite riffs, WILLFIRE embody the raw spirit of heavy metal with a sound that blends 80s rock, modern metal, and blues. Founded in 1998 by a tight-knit group of friends, the band’s journey has spanned decades, marked by evolution, reinvention, and an undying passion for heavy music.

The trio—Niko Hellsten (vocals, bass, harmonica), Tero Virolainen (guitars), and Marko Kuparinen (drums)—have re-emerged stronger than ever. In 2024, they dropped Homebrewed Recordings, an 11-track album crafted entirely in-house: recorded, mixed, and mastered by the band themselves. Now, with Wormholedeath onboard, this rugged and richly textured record will reach global metalheads with the impact it deserves.

Homebrewed Recordings is exactly what its name suggests—authentic, unfiltered, and forged in the fires of DIY ethos. The album fuses distorted bass, slamming guitars, raspy-to-screamed vocals, and even harmonica flourishes to create a sonic journey through heaviness and melody, darkness and light. From breakneck tempos to slow-burning grooves, the tracks are charged with emotion and grounded in themes of life, perception, and inner struggle.
