Moon Shot interview

Finnish band Moon Shot released their second album “The Power” on April 26, receiving excellent reviews from media around the world. Now the band is ready to conquer the stages and let the music work its magic. We had the chance to meet Jussi Ylikoski and Ville Malja before their first summer show in Ulvila and talk about the album, the meaning of power, touring and much more.

Runvila Rock 25.5.2024, Ulvila (Finland)

At the end of May, an event combining running and music was held for the first time in Ulvila. The running race in the morning was a playful obstacle race of about 5 km for teams, in the evening at the Automaatio Areena, both local know-how and a world-class atmosphere were on stage: Two of Us, Syvä Uni, Venkulit, DJ Amanda Harkimo, Moon Shot, The 69 Eyes. Our reporter Cristina was there to take some photos for this gallery.

Porispere & Minispere 4-6/8/2023, Pori (Finland)

Also this year The Offering had the opportunity to be present at Porispere, the festival that has been held every first weekend of August for more than 10 years in Pori. The particularity of the festival is to offer a wide range of musical genres over the three days, ranging from metal to pop and everything in between. Notable names this year included Within Temptation, Airbourne, Stratovarius, The Rasmus, Beast in Black, Turmion Kätilöt, Diablo, and Stoned Statues to name a few. Sunday was the day dedicated to families called Minispere, for the occasion on the stage performed Käärijä, who represented Finland at the last edition of Eurovision, missing the victory by very few points with his “Cha cha cha”. The festival was sold out on Saturday and Sunday, the weather was also forgiving with summer temperatures and only an hour of rain on Saturday. Knotfest Finland, Turku 12-12/08/2022

We had the opportunity to be present at the first edition of Knotfest Finland. The festival was held at the Artukainen event park in Turku and was organized by Fullsteam Agency. The large area allowed to host 30,000 spectators, resulting sold out on the second day. On the first day, on the two stages we saw Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus, Bloodred Hourglass, Stam1na, Sara, Arch Enemy, Lähiöbotox, Lamb of God, Huora and as final Nightwish. On the second day Blind Channel opened the dances followed by Shiraz Lane, TesserAct, Stoned Statues, Cradle of Filth, Medeia, Bring Me The Horizon, Moon Shot, the long-awaited Slipknot and at the end Huoratron. The Finnish rock band will release their debut album next October, meanwhile the band played 3 shows this summer proving they are ready to conquer the world with their sound and energy.
We had the oppotunity to meet Ville Malja and Jussi Ylikoski before their show at Porispere and talk about the band, upcoming album and much more.

Porispere 2021, Pori (Fin)

The celebration of Porispere’s 10th anniversary took place this year after the postponement occurred in 2020. The last weekend of July the festival was held in Kirjurinluoto, recording a sold out on Saturday. Like every edition, the festival has hosted artists of genres ranging from pop to metal; Ensiferum, Beast in Black, The 69 eyes, Stam1na and Apulanta are few of the most noted names.
We were there to capture the moments of this edition with our cameras.
